  1. What do we all do

Fart in bed or get up and go out side.

    i go out side.

it makes the dog look at me (as to say what was that)

should we start a pole on this topic ?

  2. I had an excellent treatment in January 2004 in the Pattaya International Hospital located in Soi 4 by Dr. Aree, a female dentist.

    Nico

That place looked dark and dank, dark paint on the walls, when i went 5 years ago,

Let them do a clean, but never went back.

im only talking about the dental side.

BPH for me. worth the extra dosh.

  3. I never get the opportunity to give clothing away to any of the beggers or a charity

As the wife's family come down for a visit, then they clean me out of the wardrobe.

Kind of gets on me tits when i see her brothers walking around my place with my shirts and shorts on

drinking my beer as well. :D

Wouldn't mind if her sister took my underwear or did a swap . :)

    Fat chance. :D

    O well TIT.

  4. Is farting in public ok or not.

This is what happened, was round the smelly market pattaya Thai

the other day, felt one come on and decided to just let it go thinking it would be

ok, wrong, a big load raspberry was unleashed, the wife looks at me real bad and walks off

in the opposite direction, now no Thais looked at like my wife did, and any odor is nothing to the smell of

the market , was It that bad, I would never let a loud one go in public.

But it just happened that way.

I can see, YOU never go to Beach and Second Road and see the speeding traffic or visitors frightfully trying to run across the busy city streets. And yes, I am aware of the police stopping (and making up excuses) to stop individuals on the hightways in order to collect their bribes. (true, not all)

    Now Billy

A <deleted> Tortoise with a broken leg could get down Beach Road quicker than a Bus. !!!!!!!

Now dont be a silly billy,, chillibilly.

I think you ment to say

Beach road and second road have a very high volume of traffic, so that with the drivers, with the i dont give a shit about people crossing the road attitude, make it a dangerous place.

We need a few foot bridges in town to keep the traffic flow up and the accidents down.

BTW if the police put the fine for speeding in the pocket, who cares, you were still nicked for speeding.

    Have a nice day

  6. I think Big C stock Brut 33 antiperspirant sticks.

    Smells great.

    not sure of the price.

    That's important.........it should be antiperspirant.

There are a lot of different deo's on the market, but will only work properly if they are antiperspirant.

All the others are just smelling-water under pressure.

I'm using AXE for years now and it works quite good. Love the chocolate odor.

Well thank you for that, Whats important is for you to wash a bit more. :D

then you wont need expensive over priced smelly sticks of goop to hide BO. :)

    Have a nice day. :D

  7. Stick with what i said

Patong nothing special, the rest of Phuket very nice.

Had a holiday home in Krabi for the last 5 years, thats the place i like.

    Up To You.

But like i said Patong / Jomtien, abouit the same.

    i know both places well.

  8. Thanks for that Tropo, but no thanks.

You can keep your Fad 1950s 3D rubish.

I will stick with the odd one at the Big C , me and all 15 other people in the place.

No phones, No brat kids, No wan---s.

Relax time for me with a few beers.

    Up to you.

  9. i've seen you around in your bike... just another reason why i love thailand ... in most countries you would be arrested and carted off to the funny farm... anyway, as long as you are enjoying yourself but would be interesting if you ever go back to meet "future" inlaws ...

Dont think he will be around for long. he will get board, then go back and be a bank manager in the uk. :D

remember the dancing fairy (lady boy) around soi 7-8 a few years ago. not seen for a long time. :D

Most Stars of pattaya only shine for a short time. very bright, but not for long.

Keep on going, Glitter man :)

  10. I lived in Phuket for about 4 years, then relocated to Pattaya for a software contract, soon to relocate to another place...

The pros and cons really depend on what type of person you are and what you are after :D

I'm not a sex-tourist. Nor am I more than 90 years old. Nor do I speak Russian. For those reasons (and more), I cannot wait to leave Pattaya! Sorry Pattaya people, but that city is a total cesspit... My partner (who is an educated 30's something woman) cannot even go to the 7/11 without farangs trying to chat her up. As for me, my early morning jogging is interrupted by cat-calls from the ladyboys who inhabit the area.

The good points in Pattaya (there are a few), would seem to be the large choice of restaurants and the cheap Baht bus system, (if you have no car or motorbike).

One important point about the two locations is the main Pattaya private hospital (BPH) has a confirmed reputation of demanding cash in advance, even if you have 5 star medical cover. I have never heard of sumilar issues with Phuket International Hospital. It is a very important point to bear in mind because fully-insured people have died after being refused treatment by BPH.

Condos? I'm sure Pattaya is cheaper. I probably have the cheapest 64 square meter condo with a seaview at 2,500 baht/month!

If you are a single guy and enjoy the company of women (or men) whose only purpose is to prise every last baht out of you whilst claiming to be your everlasting love, then you will like Pattaya. If you are of very advanced years, then you will feel at home in that city.

Given a choice between living in Phuket or Pattaya, I would choose the former, even with all the recently-reported problems. I have a car, so do not need to use the mafia transport system.

    Simon

So you are like most Thais, you are only in pattaya for the money, not to spend it like all the others you so quickly trash!!!!!!!

    Money number one, Simon.

As for that stuff about the 7-11 and your lady, give over. men are men, is there only one place you pick women in pattaya a bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

very insulting to all. my wife got picked up by me in department store. does that make me a bad guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think pattaya will be better off with out your kind. :)

  11. Chillybilly

With all the water accidents (and deaths) this tourist season in the Pattaya bay area, what does it take for city authorities to get serious about educating the owners/ drivers of these boats about safety and that the waterways are for the "ting tong". There are laws and regulations to go by.

Next, on Beach Road and Second Street there are these huge tourist busses that seem to think these major city streets are expressways. They do not slow down; meanwhile there are tourist who have difficulty crossing these two streets due to the steady flow of baht busses, speeding busses, motorbikes and such.... I am not surprised no one has been runned over yet...or is this kept out of the news?

I never see the Pattaya police stopping a speeding bus or SUV but clustered at corners stopping some poor motor bike driver checking to see if he has a helment or drivers licence. Don't they have the training or energy to stop something more important than a local or vacationer on a bike? What will it take to enforce the traffic rules (speed limits) in the city??? For someone to get runned over?

I can see, you never go up on the main highway much, or get real brave and go out of town, as the police do stop them some times, also me when im doing 200km. :D

Dont have many speeding SUV or bus on beach road. :)

  12. I tend to think of Phuket's Patong Beach as equivalent to most of Pattaya.

Although Patong/Bangla is the closest thing phuket has to Pattaya, I don't think it's fair to say they are the same. For example, I would happily bring my family, mother, aunts, sister etc. down Soi Bangla, to show them the naughtier side of Thailand. I would never dream of taking them to Pattaya, where naughtiness is replaced by depravity.

As far as day to day living costs, I would have thought not a great deal in it. I would guess, like for like, property would be a bit cheaper in Pattaya. But as places to live, things to see and do, restaurants, leisure activities, offshore islands to visit etc, and as mentioned before, geographical beauty, for me they are simply incomparable.

Patong Jomtien pattaya, the same. apart from the quality of the sea water.

  13. Saw it tonight in 3D in Central. A great movie, unfortunately spoiled by the usual Thai mentalities in cinemas, i.e. noise. I don't often go to the movies for this reason, last time I think it was The Day After Tomorrow which was spoiled by people endlessly answering and yapping in mobile phones throughout the movie. This time no mobile phones, instead the couple next to me had brought their 4-5 year old son who understandably didn't get much if anything of the plot and was crying whenever the action got a little hot. Reminder to self: Don't waste time going to the movies in Thailand.

    Dont go weekends

    Dont go night time.

    Dont go School holidays.

    Do go week days.

    Do go afternoons

Do go Big C, way less people.

Do buy 5 beers on the way in.

Do buy water for the wife, as she is driving home. :)

This is the only way to enjoy a movie in pattaya. :D

  14. Has anyone else ever noticed what I call the Thai Swerve. The bike rider in front of you looks over his right shoulder and in doing so pulls the right handlebar and swerves out in front of you. I've come to expect this now.

Another strange effect I've noticed since moving to LOS is this. Traffic light intersections are popular venues for accidents, where motor bikes running the red light get wiped out by a pickup. However, when the lights are switched off everyone proceeds a lot more carefully and you rarely see accidents.

    Yes loads of times

but never looking over the shoulder first, only after the maneuver. :)

  15. name='sharecropper' date='2010-01-09 18:23:12' post='3255407']

The only time I have insisted on the police being called to a 100%"their fault" road accident involving my car and a Thai driver's car, the driver panicked when I said I wanted to call the police, as he was up until then insisting it was (a) entrely my fault or (:) 50:50.

I was having none of it, and I knew it was a high risk game getting the coppers involved but by then I didn't care, as I was annoyed at how it had(n't) gone so far.

The police turned up, an impressive, serious young police colonel from Soi 9 in Pattaya, who looked at the damage, and the road, heard us both out (and bear in mind my Thai is rubbish). Within minutes he told me to follow him back to the station, and the other car too.

Got there, thinking "hello walking ATM" and he surprised me by giving the Thai driver a dressing down, fined him 500 baht for careless driving andmade him to give me his full insurance details, handing me a business card saying "if there is problem with this call me".

Cost me nothing, but left me very surprised and deeply impressed.

You say all that. after you take snidey pictures of police, then post them on this forum in a diferent thread.

My guy feeling is xxxxxxx xxxx, well i leave that to the rest

  16. Worst of all...a farang male with girlfriend/wife wearing helmets and carrying a helmetless child or baby.

Couldn't agree more. I know farang aren't exactly held in high regard in Pattaya (look at the slobs in Tops drinking Chang and Leo most of the day) but just because the Thais do it don't make it right.

    Whats that all about.

Are you one of the people, that thinks pattaya has gone up market.

and people are slobs because they a have a few beers at Tops. :D:D:D

do you live in this town. :)
