Near Sawang,
On the other side of Sawang is Ban Ko Korn, which has on the site of the temple a purpose built building protecting one of the oldest stuppa's in Thailand.
Inside is a small museum with bit's of bodies pottery etc dating back to the same period.
Given these are all few days walk from Ban Chiang, not really surprising.
The Ko Korn site building was built by a USA university, now seems long forgotten

Many villages and towns have rocket festivals, even the small villages have great festivals, starts soon, and last for a number of months. The problem is finding ou where and when.
Khon Kaen has a number around it, the TOT there "may" know.
Nong Kai the same

More than a decade ago I met one of the owners, I had no idea they had plans to make bikes, reason he connected with me was he wanted to add MP3 players into the bike, great little idea, didn't go anywhere, but he was thinking of trying to make cheap bikes interesting.
Agree, sad to see them go, regardless what people think of them

Do it in Laos, I did as it was closer to where I lived than Bangkok.
You don't leave the old passport behind remember
-
Not so long ago someone transiting at Bangkok thought the same and was caught. All passenger manifests are provided to Thailand, as it happens in all countries. Better to fly to Sillypore and get a flight direct or Vietnam

Works well
I had a similar problem a few years back, I booked the Udon - Vientiane leg by the Nok Air bus.
You even get a flight number.
Worked fine as Air Canada wasn't going to let me fly, with that, they did.
NOT the below.
The airline will accept a flight booking from Bangkok to Vientiane.
Bus tickets etc are not acceptable and can not be booked from Spain.
Easy option is to book a hotel in Vientiane and print out the booking.- 1

Never met a Thai who wouldn't take something from the left hand
BUT
THis part is correct - not so common, but in the 90's much more common
<<Often when a Thai man shakes hands in the western style he will also hold/touch his right elbow with his left hand.

Start with paying them a livable wage - and supplying all their equipment rather than being forced to buy it, then crack down on corruption.

There is a small farm near us where the owner teaches Thai's real organic farming, as opposed to label and pretend it's real. He had over 100 farmers there last weekend, really nice man. No idea how it's organised though.

Running Windows 7, no adblock, still digging into last security update, maybe they had something, but all other pics are ok

Hi - I am not seeing images in the classifieds section, this seemed to have stopped a few weeks back, using Chrome, not running any ad block, seeing images everywhere else in the forum.
Anyone else having this issue?

Good friends of mine, Sombat is a great man, doing Many good things in Laos, avoiding conflict. Very sad.

Well I haven't lived in Australia for I guess 17 years and I recognize her from the photo's,
She was on lot's of show's that I saw on visits.
For some reason I am thinking one of the ABC comedy shows had her on it.
She was at the Melbourne International Comedy festival, which is pretty big event for years now

Some more photos. Please check the nice a...s...s on the last photo.
The LP holder makes the a..s..s look unattractive... That would be the 1st thing to come off if I bought it.
Does LP stand for Leather Pant? If so I agree,

I can imagine the phone call
"Hey Sombat, I have the cops here, I need a fake license for a croc, send me one"
Sorry mate, you haven't paid me for the fake elephant licences and the gibbon suit, so it will take two weeks,
"WAAAAAAAAA, dude, your killing me!"

Thanks Luba - greatly appreciated,
Yes you can... We have been waiting for almost 10 months now and the wife has come over twice on tourist visa.Hi Guys, when you apply for a spouse visa in THailand, can you also still apply for tourist visa's while it's being processed? Given the year+ it takes to get the Visa, I'd be wanting the wife over in Australia before she gets the spouse visa
