Start with paying them a livable wage - and supplying all their equipment rather than being forced to buy it, then crack down on corruption.

There is a small farm near us where the owner teaches Thai's real organic farming, as opposed to label and pretend it's real. He had over 100 farmers there last weekend, really nice man. No idea how it's organised though.

Running Windows 7, no adblock, still digging into last security update, maybe they had something, but all other pics are ok

Hi - I am not seeing images in the classifieds section, this seemed to have stopped a few weeks back, using Chrome, not running any ad block, seeing images everywhere else in the forum.
Anyone else having this issue?

Good friends of mine, Sombat is a great man, doing Many good things in Laos, avoiding conflict. Very sad.

Well I haven't lived in Australia for I guess 17 years and I recognize her from the photo's,
She was on lot's of show's that I saw on visits.
For some reason I am thinking one of the ABC comedy shows had her on it.
She was at the Melbourne International Comedy festival, which is pretty big event for years now

Some more photos. Please check the nice a...s...s on the last photo.
The LP holder makes the a..s..s look unattractive... That would be the 1st thing to come off if I bought it.
Does LP stand for Leather Pant? If so I agree,

I can imagine the phone call
"Hey Sombat, I have the cops here, I need a fake license for a croc, send me one"
Sorry mate, you haven't paid me for the fake elephant licences and the gibbon suit, so it will take two weeks,
"WAAAAAAAAA, dude, your killing me!"

Thanks Luba - greatly appreciated,
Yes you can... We have been waiting for almost 10 months now and the wife has come over twice on tourist visa.Hi Guys, when you apply for a spouse visa in THailand, can you also still apply for tourist visa's while it's being processed? Given the year+ it takes to get the Visa, I'd be wanting the wife over in Australia before she gets the spouse visa

I have been told there is a good one opposite the 7-11 next to the central bus station, lady dentist who was trained in USA and speaks excellent English,,so far I have not needed the dentist, touch wood, but will use soon for a clean and inspection
Same lady does some of our kids teeth, we've been very happy with her, compatible to Bangkok good clinic dentists we use.

<<v>>MANILA: -- The ongoing repairs on the airconditioners, comfort rooms, and other facilities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) have resulted in a marked improvement, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Jose Angel Honrado claimed on Tuesday.<<v>>
I fly out of there last week, was a mess.
Oddly the discount airlines part is pretty good, far far far better than the main terminals.

Regarding the stoopid racist posts - note that Nigeria called a national Ebola emergency with a single case, and was first to be declared Ebola free, they managed that extremely well. Nigeria is changing, as is Africa,

Sitting at the airport as I type this,
Check in counters for Thai and many other airlines - nearly empty
Passport stamp out - 2 people in queue in front of me.
I've seen tourists go away before for a short time (no pun intended) stay is better perhaps, SARS/previous coup etc.
This time they seem to be staying away for a long time, far longer than I've ever seen a downturn before

There is a difference between the "Cash" requirement and the batter or trade that often is a significant part of village life.
Many villagers supplement their income, or in some of my family, have very little income, but batter food etc grown and caught on their small farming blocks.
This income is not reported, and if you don't do it, i.e. have no farm, too lazy etc, then your "cash" requirement is significantly higher.
Some work we did in rural incomes a few years back suggest cash is only 40% of the transactions.

Thanks everyone, very good advise,
Krisb, had thought of that, it's a sad situation when neither the Embassy, their out source will give information out, the people in Australia won't take an over seas call, so some bloke who's trying to make a buck, gives away free advise, as the government won't!
Kinda reluctant to do that to take advantage of someone like that.
But the advise so far has been great, thanks again!
