" they were employed at a cost of 3.8 million baht to develop a gas mask for military use "
Like no other country's armed forces already have gas mask of military quality available, Thailand has to develop its own!!

I appreciate all the feedback.
In the end it is whatever IMM wants to do about any matter, rules or not.
The 90 day submission is not a request for approval, by regulation. So long as the report is accomplished without falsehoods or errors in the information the foreigner has complied with the regulation.
The attached picture is the header of the Read Me and the the TM-47 form itself is titled "FORM FOR ALIEN TO NOTIFY OF STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS ", and IMM completes the submission at the bottom of the TM-47 under the header "
RECEIPT OF NOTIFICATION". There is no actual approval requested by the nature of the form- if it is defective in any part by the applicant then IMM is required to reject it and if they do not then the applicant has met the regulatory requirement to report.
Finally, the comment above in #37 that "There is an acceptance signature when you mail in by registered or EMS, there is no no such personal reference when you do it online" I do not agree with. The online system returns a TRN when the online notification has been completed and completely correctly- any errors by the applicant in inputting the requested data online will result in no acknowledgement by IMM of the receipt of the applicant's online 90-day notice- and which I would argue is even stronger evidence of a submission of a correct notification then one that is received by IMM via mail (which only acknowledges that an envelope addressed to IMM was received, without any review at that point in time by IMM on the adequacy of the applicant's submission).
You are being far too logical, it will all end in tears!!

Yes, you need a Residence Certificate from Immigration to prove your address to the Land Transport Office unless you have a work permit
Some LTO's will accept a Yellow Book but most want the certificate that is issued by the Immigration Office where you do your 90 day report. The TM 30 will get you the Residency Certificate from Immigration since it is in their computer
Interesting about some LTOs not accepting a Yellow Book.

Collecting a new car from a dealer in Chiang Mai today (1 March 2018)
Don't want red plates so it will not have any registration paperwork I guess.
Questions:
1: Will it be insured (1 years first class insurance included in the deal) without a registration plate number having been issued ?
2: What to show the BIB if pulled over.
3: Are there any restrictions about nighttime driving ?
Thanks
Dave

Make the car parks "free", paint some "no parking" lines outside the markets and then clamp anybody who parks illegally with a 5000 baht release fee.
On the other hand just waffle and do nothing, a' la Thailand

Thais would be better off learning Chinese, the language of their new masters; rather than English; which would be useless when dealing with Americans anyway.
