I know that the Ukrainian war initiated and orchestrated by despot Putin has brought many price increases of many products at supermarkets across the globe, but there are price increases which are absolutely not justified! Almost all supermarkets in Thailand are now owned by C.P. Pokphand Co. Ltd., in short CP. Take 7/11, Makro, Lotus's and others. Another very large presence of C.P is True with all they own. In our small provincial towns in upper Surin there is no choice, we are "compelled" to buy at Lotus's. I just returned from their shop in Tha Tum where I bought among a lot of other things (2'800 Baht in total) Thai Tea Mix which I bought the last time, about 2 weeks ago for 89 Baht a pack of 10 sachets. Today, the price has markedly changed. I paid for the same product 129 Baht. That is a bold increase of 40 Baht or 45% ... on a Thai made product! There is nothing imported from abroad, it's all Thai ingredients in it. CP is cashing in on cash-strapped customers, and not only in Thailand. CP has a very strong foothold in China and several other countries. This is only one example, it struck me, but there are many. Shame on CP!

I had hundreds of items delivered to my home, mostly by Flash Express and Kerry, usually no problem. But right now I have a very small pack with 5 electrical plugs, ordered from Lazada and to be delivered by Kerry. The pack arrived on April 4 at the local Kerry hub who delivers to our home. Today is April 11, but still no delivery. I contacted Lazada via Email and by phone and I was told that Lazada could not deliver because they cannot contact our phone number. I told the Lazada man that my wife's phone is open 24 hours, she checked, nobody from Kerry had ever called. He checked my wife's phone number and that is what Kerry has. The guy from Lazada said that he can confirm that the item would be delivered to us today, but guess what? It is after 19:00 and the Kerry driver again didn't show up. What can you do? Maximilian Bitter who founded Lazada has sold the company to Jack Ma and things are not so much under control anymore. Lazada Group in Singapore who oversees also Thailand is now managed by some guy or gal sent by Alibaba. That's where we are today.

I always pay with credit card. If for some reason, I need a refund, the money is paid back to my credit card account. Easy.

My bank in Germany sent me a new bankcard mid November 2021, it never arrived at my home. A new one sent on JAN 18 has not yet arrived, either. I went to my local post office today and I was told by the manager, that since two weeks nobody is working due to Covid. Some people are in the hospital, others take leave out of fear. I can't get into online banking with my German bank since the last bank card expired end of 2021. Now my account remains blocked. Nothing works without that card. How I then transfer my pensions? I have to call my bank in Germany to order a transfer. I haven't received any annually recurring "Life Certificate" from my pension funds in Switzerland and Belgium for the past two years. What a mess since Covid started! Some people must despair.

We got our Pfizer booster yesterday morning and today Sunday it shows already on the Thailand Digital Health Pass.

The booster did not materialize as planned. A day before our appointment, the village nurse called my wife and said Pfizer was "mot" and asked her if we wanted Astra Zeneca. My wife said said: No, we would like to have Pfizer jyst like we were promised. We're still waiting...

Correction: the Bosch washing machines are made in Germany not China, I've been told by Bosch Thailand.

Hi everyone, we've been using a LG front loader washing machine for the past 11 years, yesterday our main board broke, as the repairman said, but no spare part available in the whole of Thailand. So. the machine is dead now. I have been looking for a new machine. Being from Switzerland, I know that BOSCH is a very reputable brand and practically the only brand available in Thailand. I found a very good machine for 16'900 Baht, 14'900 if you order online at HomePro. This machine loads 8 kg vs 7 kg for the LG, 1'200 r/pm spin speed vs 1'000, 18 programs vs 13, adjustable temperature vs non adjustable, comes with a stand vs no stand for the LG. As long as the machine works well, everything is fine. Now if it has to be repaired, BOSCH spare parts won't be as cheap as LG or Samsung. Are there any of our members who have had to repair their BOSCH washing machine in Thailand?

It gets better and better: Tomorrow morning at 09:00 my wife and I (Swiss national) will get a free annual flu shot. I used to pay 800 Baht every year.

Update: Yesterday I was informed by the nurse living in our village that my wife and I are scheduled for a Pfizer booster shot given on January 15 at our nearest provincial town, only 12 km away from our home. No need for me to travel a third time to Khon Kaen. G*R*E*A*T! For one time local Thai health management works. I send a big Thank You to the powers in charge.

I had my second Pfizer shot from Bangkok Hospital Khon Kaen on October 3. Under normal conditions I should take a booster by April 2, 2022, but seen the arrival of Omicron and the fact that I have diabetes since more than 20 years, I would prefer to advance the date by 2 months, that would be February 2, 2022. I would like to purchase a Moderna booster to be administered in Khon Kaen (I live in northern Surin province). Does anyone have any idea, how I should proceed best?

Where will you be going for your booster shot and how much do you have to pay?

It is nearly impossible to reinstate the website based on Joomla 1.5.9. I have decided to create a new website on WordPress. If anybody can give me some free assistance, I'd be very happy.

I can still access my backend. I just looked at the users list. OMG! There are about 3200 users registered! All hackers. I think I have to forget about my website.

The hosting company wrote: "We invite you to create a secondary account for us to access the backend of the site with administrative functions. The backend, in case you don't know what to provide, is the administration part of the site, not the login @aruba.it" If I would understand exactly what I have to do, the hosting company might be able to help. How do I create a secondary account? I have a telephone appointment with the hosting company tomorrow Wednesday.

I'd rather have the site restored and then maybe move the whole to WordPress. The website background is so unique that I'd love to recuperate it. I can still access the product pages at the backend, though.

Hi everyone, maybe 15 years ago someone in India created a website with Joomla for me which I later could expand myself by creating additional product pages. So, I did this many years myself and it worked fine. Lately I was informed by my hosting company that my site had been compromised and since it has been disabled. I tried to deal with my webhosting company in Italy, but they point to things I would have to do in Joomla! The person who made my website has vanished, I am unable to contact him after so many years. Is there anyone in Thailand who is familiar with Joomla? By the way, my site was created with Joomla 1,5.9. If I find no help I would be forced to abandon the site and that would be a great loss for me as I have worked probably thousands of hours on this site. Our electricity throughout our home is professionally earthed. No problem here. I'm a Swiss national. In Switzerland everything must be earthed.

Running MSFS on a laptop. Woaw! That's an achievement. Almost all people I know aren't able to run MSFS 2020 on their computers. How are your framerates? I'm in FS since FS2000. Yes, I know about HDMI and I sure have one on my HP I bought on Amazon 3 years ago. But my monitor cable doesn't have an HDMI connector.

I'm running a PC and a laptop running together all the time, for some things I need a large screen, so there is my PC. How would I connect a large monitor with my laptop, Darksidedude? Also, I need a lot of GB to run Microsoft Flight Simulator with all the programs I need to create. I don't have that many GB on my laptop.
