  1. Anyone know where to get cans of hummus (hummus tahina) in Pattaya; I was buying it in Friendship up until about a year ago, but they no longer stock it?
  2. Your question just reminded me of a song the Prathom 6 Thai female teachers used to teach the "students" - when I worked as an English "teacher" (TIC) many years ago: "Where are you come from; where do you go"?
  3. (Been married to my Thai wife for 14 years, but whatever; continue with your infantile comments).
  4. ONE CARAFE OF ICED TEA (duh)...
  5. I went for lunch in my usual Santa fe "steak" restaurant the other day. I have been going there for years, get an annual discount card (199 baht) which gives you a couple of free meals plus 10% off ever bill for the next year. I sat down at a single table and waited for the menu. When I chose my meal, the waitress came to take the order. I ordered a spinach soup, a fish & chips and salad meal and - being as I was thirsty - a carafe of iced tea (carafe = 89 baht which gives about 3 glasses, as opposed to a glass of iced tea @ 49 baht). All was going fine until the waitress said: "One" (after I ordered the carafe of iced tea). So, you tell me, IS IT ME???
  6. Thanks for the history lesson; I'm get back to it in time... then again...
  7. When this went down in Feb. 2022, I was communicating with a (then) friend of 20+ years, expressing the exact same views that I expressed above; however as the war went on, I changed my mind and actually went along with the herd's view. Glad to say, that I have swung full circle and my view is set in concrete, so read it and weep armchair warriors.
  8. "The child's mother, Sarunporn, expressed her anger and disbelief after a friend provided her with the video. Her son had been attending the daycare for just two weeks and had consistently shown reluctance, which she dismissed as typical at first. This alarming video, however, offers a possible reason for his unwillingness to attend each morning." I want to emphasize this sentence: "Her son had been attending the daycare for just two weeks and had consistently shown reluctance, which she dismissed as typical at first." (Maybe she should have taken her child's reluctance a bit more seriously?)
  9. High-end Pet shop or Animal hospital: Brand names: Advocat or Revolution. Advocat is 500 baht for 2 sachets: 8 drops per sachet. Revolution is similarly priced. I use it for my rabbits: 1 drop per kg between the shoulders once a month - removes ear mites and other associated parasites.
  10. Only one thumbs down? (Guess nobody is up yet?)
  11. (Fishing for the armchair warriors) There are at least 3 reasons why Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022: 1. With that clown Zelenskyy and those fools running the eu and NATO making it public knowledge that Ukraine would be accepted in both the eu and NATO, and them expecting Putin just to sit by saying "Yes, that will be all fine and dandy"? 2. Putin saw how easy it was to annex Crimea back in 2014 while Obama & co. did nothing. 3. Putin witnessing the debacle of Biden's Afghanistan withdrawal back in August 2021 obviously was a big encouragement in his decision to invade Ukraine.

  14. My answer is based on what I consider the Putin mindset - which is (IMO) based on historical events, e.g. the 2 occasions that Russia was invaded in past centuries. And more importantly, he will never be seen to back down in this war/his invasion of Ukraine. I feel this is obviously a tragic situation, but he will not be satisfied until he achieves his ultimate goal.
  15. But seriously, the Dollar is going down because that's exactly what Donny wants. (He also wants the Fed to cut interest rates).
