    Totally agree, but Putin will never allow himself to be seen to back down - as he truly hates the West. It's a sad reality, but I think that it is inevitable that Ukraine will need to give up Crimea - yes, I am aware it its constitution; I am not saying I agree with this one bit, but it will be the only way to end the war. As for NATO (without the U.S.) and the eu "army", I hope they are not foolish enough to get involved.

    Probably stating the obvious, but this is what I needed to open a bank account (visa is Retirement extension) - with the new regulations that came in around last September/October: 1. Passport 2. Residency Certificate (that Jomtien Immigration now needs to add the name of the bank) 3. Blue book 4. Thai Driving licence (okay... license)

    The only 2 mistakes Israel made was handing over the Sinai to Egypt in 1982 and handing over Gaza in 2005; re the second mistake, they are in the process of rectifying that one.
