It's also illegal to drink alcohol on beaches.

Really if so i stand corrected BUT

They serve it on beach restaurant's

My local beach outside Prachuap has people on it everyday drinking me included

Beach promenade in PKK town has people sitting on plastic chairs drinking

A friend is chef on an  island at a fancy hotel where you eat meal and drink fancy stuff on beach getting your feet wet

surely if it was illegal apart from the odd Covid regulations after 23 years here i might have an inkling

The golden rule always used to be,

If you have a problem with a Thai, walk away or somehow defuse it because you ain't going to win. Doesn't matter how much in the right you are, you are a foreigner and automatically wrong. If it means eating a bit of shxt, do it and get away. Never had a problem myself but that was always the adage.

    Good advice

If i have a problem with an argumentative Thai time to walk away and smile and think how long they would last doing whatever they were doing  outside Thailand

I noticed the same thing in Sukhumvit near Thonglor. Thais wearing mask farang tourists dont. Now with omicron its natural for Thais to respond like this.

Its just stupid not to wear a mask even if there are no people around as you will be seen without a mask and only add to the stereotype.

Is it that hard to keep your mask on, i hate them too but i would not dream of not wearing a mask even if there is nobody around.  Because people do pass by.

    Just stupid thinking of foreigners.

I wear one when in shop or crowd  i never wear when alone or on motorbike whats the point

But then again we are in the countryside Mask wearing in  general Is much more relaxed

That is a very recent development. I travelled to the U.K. late December and required a test both before travelling and within 48 hours of arriving.

After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 test. This is the test that you booked before travel.

This must be a PCR test if you arrive in England before 4am Sunday 9 January. If you arrive after 4am, 9 January you can use a lateral flow test. You will be able to book lateral flow tests from 7 January.

You can take the test any time after you arrive and before the end of day 2 at the latest. The day you arrive is day 0.

Not all countries  require  PCR tests such as the UK.

PCR tests are prone to generate  false positive by detecting old dead covid  material  from recovered covid patients.

With the advent of Omicron this phenomenon will increase

This is THE REAL PCR test story.

    NB

    UK only requires

    locator form

lateral flow on arrival whatever that  is now

So utter confusion as to what is happening: what is allowed or not allowed, in which provinces; what does blue, orange or red mean, what do levels 1,2,3 or 4 mean?

No one seems to have a <deleted> clue!

Now I am a ???? bear of very little brain, but is it beyond the bounds of possibility to give a clear simple explanation of what is proposed, or has no one actually thought that far?

I too am a bear of very little brain

This colour and numbers thing is ridiculous its almost designed on purpose to be as complicated as possible Whilst not giving too much information

Just thank god You are not colour blind
