He said that next year, Thailand will have at least 90 million vaccine doses, consisting of 60 million from AstraZeneca and 30 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
Thailand will also have doses of the Novavax vaccine and other locally produced vaccines from Chulalongkorn University, Baiya Phytopharm Company and the Government Pharmaceutical Organization, which will be used for booster jabs, Mr Anutin explained.
In no way is this comforting
This homemade Thai vaccine will make Sinovac look good
Luckily i will be able to get my booster in UK

I'm not "anti vax". This vax isn't like previous ones. Vaccinated can still catch, carry, and transmit covid. That's a known fact. Those who want it should get it. Those who don't (or can't, like 2 of my family members) shouldn't be punished for not getting it.
BUT a vaccine mitigates the chance of going to hospital dying etc (yes i understand vaccinated ones can pass it on)
Personally im vaccinated and if i spread it to someone who isn't vaccinated by their choice TUFF!
Those allergic or cant be vaccinated for medical reasons will have to take extra care

That is what i am talking about having to amend the insurance policy each time i travel instead of just paying by year and not looking back. Its ok if you go somewhere incidentally but if you travel more frequently it will become a pain in the ass.
I think we are at cross purposes
My retirement visa has expired on 5 August for 8 years
so if i wanted yearly insurance which i haven't i would arrange ins to that date or as near as possible as a one off
So then My reentry permit I would always be admitted until 8 august
As would insurance be always valid to that date
Everybody happy

So i pay in january for the whole year. Now if i go out of Thailand in februari and go back in march. My insurance would be 3 months short (so i might have to pay them 3 months have a new policy).
sorry i am confused this makes no sense
Your insurance only has be up to the date of reentry permit so i really do not see a problem
At worst just amend ins policy to coincide with expiry date of visa
never any more problems

Im just <deleted> off because I do have insurance always had and a good one too, but these rules make it hard for me anyway as i pay yearly for it. So it will never match my travel dates. Meaning I have to change my policiy with every trip (hassle)
All this because of those ************ who thought insurance was not needed and got in trouble.
If your insurance is yearly and renewed yearly how on earth can it effect your traveling
you are insured year round so it matters not when you leave or return
you could in all reality do you return thai pass whatever its called before you left Thailand

Obviously his Vaccine certifications are both In Thai. Where and how would he get an English version as gov.uk says the Name d.o.b vaccine, issuing country must be in English. I’m assuming going to a local doctor translating the certificate and signing it would not be acceptable.
Does anybody have any idea where we can pay way over the odds for such a document ????my mor phrom app certificate is in English

On the face of it great news but do not forget the UK Citizens returning to Thailand for instance would be subjected to strict Covit medical insurance and very costly and not sure if the Thais are covered and know covered in Thailand.
Families could still be split up.
Or am I missing something and as UK citizens we not entitled to medical care , even though paid our dues for 40 or 50 years and yes travel insurance for Thais?I will be returning 2 weeks prior to reentry expiring i can run with 2 weeks insurance i think
but yes that must be kept in mind

I really can't see all those many tourists carrying $50,000 med and Covid-19 insurance.
I can see special insurance packages added to price in China to get around this
Tour price will include everything including Insurance
Remember insurance companies are thai Chinese

Why not do it like PoorSucker, buy a cheap refundable ticket to Singapore 14 days later to show together with insurance for 14 days?
I read somewhere from that insurance had to match time left on re entry
10 hours ago, DrJack54 said:OP, Correct your insurance needs cover time that you will be stamped in for. In your case 9 months
I would be more than happy to buy a cheap ticket out and only pay for few days insurance
Can we get 100% confirmation On this as i might go to uk soon and would be returning on 8 months reentry
As it stands insurance would be more than the ticket .. incredible!
Thailand will have 90 million vaccine doses next year: Anutin
