Back in the UK I did 5hr teaching and 45mins home room per day.
Lesson prep almost nothing, admin almost nothing. No competent teacher wasted 2hrs lesson prep on a 1hr lesson.
Not even 10 hours working per week? How about weekend and holiday work or school security work at weekends?

15hrs a week doesn't seem that demanding to me, and I assume she does the snack bar to extort a bit more from the kids.
Whether she chose to do the snack bar work, or whether it was dumped on her as an extra duty, is not explained in the OP from PBS.
It seems from the OP she only teaches for those 15 hours, but the 10 hours per day adds to the 15 hours making 25 hours, without counting any extra hours after school, weekend or work in the holiday time.

33% of the OP pals leaving where "Thai girl done me wrong", never base your life around trusting one woman.
It has worked for nearly 30 years for me, and hopefully it will keep working until I die. My wife owns most of what we have and my pensions keep us going. She will get about 50% of that when I die until her death, and she is more than welcome to them.

Bangkok and Chiang Rai aren't Thailand? Who says such nonsense. Bangkok is the most culturally rich city in Thailand.
So what?
Compared to the whole of Thailand, Bangkok is small and not particularly significant.

My dream is based around one single Thai lady and we have been married 24 years this year.
I don't regret a single minute of it.

Only 2 of my friends have left Thailand permanently and they were both in their 80s. I went to both of their cremations here in Kamphaeng Phet province.
That is the only way I plan to go as do most of the rest of my friends.
Then again, we don't live in tourist areas.

Sounds like a dream
It is only a small office in a small province with not so many farangs.
Several times I have been the only customer. Plenty of sheltered parking (including a disabled slot (in the sun though).
Easy access and on the ground floor.
Good clean toilets.

And why not, as he was illegally removed in a military coup, as was Yingluck, on bogus trumped up charges.

That's going back a while..70's?
Late 1990's and early 2000. IF I was lucky I could park in the Post office next door and go to the small farang extensions room. Then we ended up in the main hall which was like a house of madness.
You had to push your way to the desks through clouds of agents with about 20 passports each.
That was back in the days of 200,000 and 400,000 baht visa extensions and grandfathering.

It’s getting WORSE. I seriously cannot believe they make married people put up with this much bs. I am with you 100% I cannot stand the fact I have to move money over. I have to do it soon too. Who the hell knows if I even really have to move the money or not. I’m just so sick of it there’s nothing else to say other than how frustrating and old it’s all gotten.
NO it isn't.
I can remember back in the bad old days at Suan Phlu when it was like a madhouse there.

I do my marriage extension myself using the monthly income method.
The Immigration office that I use is in Kamphaeng Phet and is not only user friendly but farang friendly and very helpful. There are no "hidden" or unexpected charges and to my knowledge no agents seem to be available there either, I have been using that branch for more than 12 years now.
When I did my extension last year in October they politely reminded me that it was only valid until July as I needed a new passport before then.
Not ALL immigration offices are the same.

Biden could stop it tomorrow if he wanted to. If he doesn't send any more bombs they can't bomb Gaza and kill children, and if he stops sending bullets they will have to withdraw from Gaza to conserve what they have for all the other conflicts they have, like on the northern border.
Biden CHOOSES to continue to supply the means for israel to continue the slaughter of innocents in Gaza. He will be remembered in history, not for any good he did, but for the thousands of children who's deaths he facilitated. Not a good memory.
Iran will never agree as long as the illegal occupation of Palestinian land continues. IMO it's their greatest recruiting tool for attacks on American assets.
I am not so sure that if the USA halted all arms shipments to Israel, that it would make that much difference, certainly in the short term.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defense_industry_of_Israel
The defense industry of Israel is a strategically important sector and a large employer, as well as a major supplier of the Israel Defense Forces. The country is one of the world's major exporters of military equipment, accounting for 10% of the world total in 2007. Three Israeli companies were listed on the 2017 Stockholm International Peace Research Institute index of the world's top 100 arms-producing and military service companies: Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries and RAFAEL.[1][2] It is also a major player in the global arms market and is the 6th largest arms exporter in the world as of 2014.[3] Total arms transfer agreements topped $12.9 billion between 2004 and 2011.[4] There are over 150 active defense companies based in the country with combined revenues of more than $3.5 billion annually.[5] Israeli defense equipment exports reached $7 billion in 2012, making it a 20 percent increase from the amount of defense-related exports in 2011. With the war in Ukraine, arms exports reached $12.5 billion in 2022.[6] Much of the exports are sold to the United States and Europe. Other major regions that purchase Israeli defense equipment include Southeast Asia and Latin America.[7][8][9] India is also major country for Israeli arms exports and has remained Israel's largest arms market in the world.[10][11]
What may or will make a big difference, is how many defence workers have been called up and either injured or wounded in the current conflict.
It may be however that those workers, both male and female may be exempt from military service as essential personnel. That is something I have no knowledge about.
It also maybe that in the short term Israel could temporarily halt arms exports and divert those exports for its own use.
It is of little use for the UN and governments worldwide to keep talking and wringing their hands. IMHO it is long past the time for talking and time for the world to actually DO something to stop BOTH sides from continuing this senseless, pointless slaughter of the innocent people on BOTH sides.
Neither Netanyahu nor who is running Hamas this week, ( As of November 2023, Yahya Sinwar continues to be the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Hamas control of the northern part of the Gaza Strip came to an end in January 2024, according to Israeli government statements), seem to have any interest in stopping this. Hamas have attempted to do something with the ceasefire plan that Qatar and Egypt have come up with, although they want to modify it.
Netanyahu and Israel have rejected the plan outright.
Where does the world go from here I wonder?
My thought is to take Netanyahu and Yahya Sinwar into a room and bang their heads together to knock some sense into them, until they come to a peace plan.

IMO he's going to reject anything put forward, as IMO he knows it means the end of his coalition government, the end of his premiership and very possibly jail. Jehova could extend a finger pointing at him from above and shout "take the deal" and he'd reject it.
The elephant in the room is Biden, as he is looking decidedly unpopular at home with an election coming up, and will he decide to do the right thing and stop the conflict? He's been making the right noises, but still sending lots and lots of bombs, so I guess it depends........... on a lot of things.
Unless Biden makes it happen, it probably won't.
The main problem is that President Biden can't MAKE it happen.
Netanyahu IS the problem as he will reject ANY deal that involves Hamas.
He personally is probably the main and possibly the only problem to a settlement and an end to the slaughter and destruction on both sides.
If both he and the Hamas leader were no longer in the picture and moderate persons were in control on both sides, it would be so much easier and safer.
One possible way might be for the US and probably Iran to stop funneling weapons and money to each side, and for each of them to say to both Hamas and Israel, enough is enough.
If there are ANY more attacks from either side, retribution will be swift and painful.
I don't think that is possible though.

My next 90 day report is due on 25th February.
As my Immigration off ice is 70 away I though that I would give the "new" 90 day online a road test.
It took me about 10 minutes to register on 02 February, some 23 days early, so I thought that having registered I would actually apply on Tuesday 13 February.
However in my email inbox this morning was a new extension dated valid to 25 May 2024.
Done and completed in 5 days or 3 working days.
I am impressed.
It has saved me or my wife, a 140km and a 2 and a bit hour, round trip.

Oh dear.
Those VVVIP "concerned netizens" have found something else to whine about now.
Don't they EVER give whining a rest now and again?
If that is a photo of the lady she looks very attractive. It also seems from the text that she was a participant in beauty contests before she joined the police.

I have no doubt that a few "concerned netizens" will have downloaded it.

We are grand parents, my wife and I, she idolises the ground she walks on, everyday she needs to hear what she's been doing and where she's been, when she's feeling down my wife just looks through the video's we have. I hope that grand mother gets arrested also.
Arresting the grandmother for what?
Even WITH video evidence against the abbot the police seem to have done nothing.
Without the video evidence, who would take the word of the grandmother over that of the "revered" abbot?

200,000 baht, indeed.
According to the article, the Brit's part of the Israeli's settlement was over 3 million baht to make him go away. No telling what the popo got out of the deal, but I suspect it was more than 3 million.
BTW, I'd check the veracity of the Israeli's ID. With a name like "Alias", I wonder if he just got an ID off the shelf and didn't pay extra to give himself a real name.
It may have been a translation error, and perhaps the Israeli's name was Elias and not Alias.

Biden: "I am an elderly man ... I know what the hell I'm doing"
in World News
Posted
President Biden is 81 years old, or about 18 months older than me.
He is holding down the hardest job in the world and doing very well at it too
I only wish I had half his energy and stamina.
So he forgets somebody's name now and again. That isn't the first time and it won't be the last.
Who can put their hand on their heart and truthfully say that they have never forgotten a thing in their life and that they are perfect.
Trump told over 30,000 lies in 4 years in his 4 years as president, he is accused on 91 different counts in a number of US states, yet there are still people on this forum let alone in the USA, who constantly defend him and want him to become president again.
