Trying that soft fluffy percentage tactic again?

    Nonsense strawman.

As I said, you can think what you want, but many will disagree that US$524.9 billion is going to be easy to pick up elsewhere.

Most countries don't produce more than US$524.9 billion in a year.  That isn't going to be easy to replace.

You ain't discussing people that care. Mao was IMO responsible for the death of at least 20 million Chinese, and they still revere Mao. Not enough to go around- no matter- just let enough die to make it enough.

Ask the Tibetans if Xi is a nice guy that cares.

    As always, my opinion.

The West just got lazy; like the Greeks, like the Romans.

It is/has been too easy for big companies to make huge profits by letting China do most of the Engineering work.

Probably if you also look at the education system you may find more in the West graduate with these fluffy Buisness Degrees than graduate with Engineering Degrees.

In the West, how many people work from home?

You can't be working on a production line or in a factory making things if you're working from home.

    We are just lazy.

Probably if you also look at the education system you may find more in the West graduate with these fluffy Buisness Degrees than graduate with Engineering Degrees.

I'd say it's media degrees rather than business degrees. Every callow youth wants to be a star and get rich quick.

Yes, we are lazy, just like the Romans and we are going to go the same way. We already invited those in that will take over.

Does the west deserve the fate that awaits it- YES it does. Serves it right for exporting all the  jobs and tech to the enemy.

Sayonara, it's been real. Thanks for all the fish.

Why do you want to use the most expensive private hospital?

Hospitals take debit and credit cards.

Probably promptpay on your smartphone as well.

If he's unconcious none of those apply.

    Perhaps he can afford it.

The only real solution if no insurance is what I did- go home.

According to his White House doctor, Trump is in very good health for his age.

Whether the doctor has the same credibility as Trump's golf championships is a different question.

    https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/news/world/us-news/trump-news/2025/04/14/trump-health?

The Dr is unlikely to claim Trump is in reasonable health if he is likely to fall over next week.

You seem obsessed with every aspect of Trump's life.

You should turn the computer off and go out- enjoy the open air. I did that yesterday- lovely. Today it's raining.

I don't disagree with you.  The vision of a world of abundance where three's more than enough for everyone sounds like a fantasy.  My only point was that that's what some of the AI people seem to think will result when robots do all the work in an environment that's directed by AI.  There are a number of practical problems standing in the way, I think.

First, there's the energy question. Giant AI complexes will require enormous amounts of electricity.  That capacity currently doesn't exist.  They want to perhaps run it all with nuclear energy.  Perhaps turn on some of the idled nuclear power plants or build new ones.  Can they manage that?

Second, I wonder about an overpopulation problem.  If humans no longer have to work, might they not end up creating too many new babies?  How will they feed all those people?   Or will some new technology exist that will be able to create food out of thin air?

In short, it sounds like a fantasy to me, but I have an open mind.

In short, it sounds like a fantasy to me,

You nailed it. It's not in the nature of the rich to give stuff away- which is why they are rich.

Re overpopulation, likely contraceptives will be added to the muck the soup kitchens are handing out.

    IMO.

Thanks for the double post. It gave me a chance to like it twice.

Donald Trump became famous on a TV show that was designed to find someone to make himself richer not the rest of his fellow Americans, there has to be a clue there?

The man about to ruin the worlds economy CV, with any unfavourable points obviously redacted as he does!

    Key points:

    • 🎓 Degree: Bachelor of Science in Economics

    • 🏫 School: Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

    • 📆 Graduated: 1968

    • 📚 Focus: Real estate and finance (Wharton offered a real estate concentration)

    • 🧮 No known advanced coursework or honors specifically in mathematics or academic economics

    Academic Performance:

    • Trump has not released his grades or transcripts, and there is no public record of him excelling or specializing in mathematical or theoretical economics.

    • He has claimed Wharton is "the best school" and that he "was a good student," but these are self-reported.

    • A 1983 New York Times profile stated he was not on the Dean’s List, though he did complete the program.

So, in short: Trump has a B.S. in Economics from Wharton, but there’s no record of standout achievements in math or economics academically. His real expertise grew more from business and branding than academic theory.

    #MAGA: Made All Goods Astronomical

Don't need a degree in anything to know that the way the world is presently being run, by the rich, for the rich, isn't sustainable. Whether Trump does it or the mob does, it's likely to go the way of the Russian nobility in 1917, sooner or later.

Perkins Coie, Wilmer Hale and Jenner & Block all sued Trump successfully, winning temporary restraining orders allowing them to keep their contracts, security clearances and access to federal buildings.

Sooooo, law firms gain retraining orders from other lawyers. Why am I laughing sarcastically.

IMO if every lawyer on the planet were sent to live on Mars, Planet Earth would be better off for it.

BTW, seems most politicians were lawyers- a nice cosy club setting things up just the way they like it.

Do you really believe NATO and other 1st world US allies  enjoyed Free Ride on US "generosity"  for decades?

Have you ever thought about how much NATO member nations collectively contribute each year for US military presence in Europe?

It is as much as $2.5Billions.

Similar story about Japan as well.

They cover 75% of the cost of US military base in their country.

    S/Korea, 40%

Japan approves 5 years more funding for U.S. military presence as China, Russia and North Korea threats loom large - CBS News

Have you really believed that US of A covered all of its costs to stay abroad alone?

Better study the world a bit before insisting  US is the victim of foreign exploitation.

how much germany, italy, pay for us militrary base in their countries - Google Search

NATO is now a pointless organisation in search of a means to perpetuate the jobs for the generals. It should have gone the way of BAOR long ago.

Let the Euros defend themselves and let the US military go home. The world will be better off for it.

To me, that sounds like a dream, but that's the thinking.  What will it matter who owns the robots, if goods can be produced so cheaply that people will have everything they want?

Think again, if one has no job and is living off the ridiculous "living wage" how can people buy anything but the basics? So much for prosperity- you think the rich are going to give stuff away?

Far more likely, the rich will have a factory or three that produces everything they want by 3D printing, and the rest of humanity can live on scraps.

Food- they'll have robot run hydroponic green houses for veges and the technology already exists to grow meat in a lab.

The propaganda is to keep the sheeple quiet while their world is being destroyed, slowly, so not to alarm them, as the sheeple are still needed, for now.

You want proof- look at the vast slum cities in poor countries, while their lords and masters live like kings.

You think it'll never happen in a western country- LOL. Did the rich support the unemployed masses during the depression, other than a soup kitchen or suchlike?

Where her charges brought up for not giving adequate health care or just using the wrong pronoun that the tranny pedo felt uncomfortable with?

If she knew that she was acting against the patients wishes, she was in the wrong. She doesn't get to pick and choose what she agrees with, or not.

What's next- refusing to look after male patients because one is a misandrist?

I can’t see the US attacking Iran. They have used so much weaponry going after the Houthi’s, there is now a shortage. They have also had limited effect on the Houthi weapons stored underground, so Iran with their even deeper storage facilities would be really difficult to destroy. No point hitting them if you can’t destroy their weaponry and take out their Nuclear building facilities.

Never mind about reality. Going by the latest fiasco on Yemen, they'll send some missiles, blow up some people and claim a great victory.

Believing one's own propaganda is quite sad really.

I used to go Ski-ing in Jasper and Banff ........ Banff was better!

I always got the idea that Bannf was the cheese for skiing. The best I managed was St Anton in Austria. Too late unfortunately, as snow melted my second week so I went sightseeing instead.

Is Austria the only place on the planet where they charge guests extra to have a bath? I was not impressed.

The waitresses didn't like it when I requested water to drink at the all included dinner, as they charged extra for liquids- water was free. I got my own back at the end as I gave them a coin as a tip. ( I didn't give the old crone I was B and B with anything as a tip- that'll do it for making me pay to use the bath ).

Those supporting this discrimination against white people - are you also campaigning for Farangs to be recruited into the Thai police force?

Lots of expats in Thailand these days, so presumably you think they should be represented in the Thai police (how ridiculous does that sound).

Or is it only your home countries that should entertain this nonsense?

Is there any reason why a farang that has become a Thai citizen can not become a Thai policeman.
