Never has since Vietnam started. We were wearing British battle dress from WW2 when I joined, and the facilities were a bad joke. I just accepted it at the time as didn't know any different, but most of us were in for US clothing if we could get it. If there was anything that exemplified the farce of NZ made equipment it was wearing JG's while out in the snow ( thin cotton fabric with no insulating properties at all meant for wearing in the tropical jungle ), waterproof jacket and over trousers that didn't keep the rain out, and the infamous snail pack, which was complete garbage. Never really improved in the decade plus that I was in.

She is just wanting the OP to hire her to do the work. There is nothing in Thai law to stop anyone cleaning their own yard. I did loads of work outside the family house, including fencing, concrete work and laying a paver patio. I also did the plumbing and the electrical work. When there was a flood I was outside on the public road digging a drain while the local officials watched, and after a storm I helped clean up. Never a problem. Just don't do it in a business.

That's an ironic quote from the guy you quoted, as the head of the UN also said that October 7 did not happen in a vacuum. Indeed it did not- many many years of oppression went into the planning for that. Seems that some are not willing to look at both sides. I look at both sides, on the one side I see an oppressor, and on the other I see the oppressed.

Don't include all Palestinians in that. While the world has been watching Gaza, Al Jazeera has been keeping us up to date with the atrocities going on in the West Bank. IMO israel is trying to provoke an uprising there- cue Gaza version 2. Probably why they need the US to send them so many bombs.

Note the concept of population-centric strategies which refers to winning the hearts and minds of the civilian population. In this conflict there is a complete absence of any attempt to provide a better alternative to Hamas. In fact, everything the israelis are doing is driving Gazans more firmly into the Hamas camp, and it is for that reason that the military campaign will ultimately fail, as only by winning hearts and minds can a war succeed. In this situation, it is all big stick and no carrot. Israel obviously thinks it can defeat Hamas and suppress the population for ever after, which is nonsense. Millions of Palestinians live outside israeli control, and they will make israel suffer in revenge.

How would Wong like it if another country demanded the removal of her party from politics before they would recognise Australia? Other countries don't get to say who rules in other countries, unless they at war with them and winning. Somewhat agree, but IMO the girls use the fact that most western men have never had decent sex in their lives to fool them that they are offering more than they are. It's too easy for a western man that has never known decent sex to think that the girl is doing so because she "likes" him, when she doesn't. I've been there done that myself, but I was lucky in that I didn't meet many bad ones.
