Why is it that suddenly the really bad war that the US inflicted on Vietnam and which many went to Canada to avoid, and required conscription to get enough cannon fodder, is now a "good war" that anyone should have fought in. BTW, no one that fought in Vietnam, other than the Vietnamese, were fighting for "their" country. It was a bad war, and should never have happened. The US and allies were the invaders, and got their ass handed to them by a bunch of peasants wearing rubber sandals. Disclaimer- I was fooled by the western propaganda and was even going to serve there. Since then I came to know the truth, so I'm happy it ended before I got there. The eye opening moment was when Thieu tried to escape, apparently with several tons of gold.

Why is it that the ONLY thing they jabber on about is spending more money. They forget to mention the most important thing, boots with men in them. Men don't rush to join up now because military life is just not attractive. I left my military because after Vietnam the good guys left and the little hitler idiots took over. If the military doesn't become a career worth doing it's never going to happen. Also, society has bred soft boys more interested in porn and playing games on the internet, than digging a hole in the rain and pretending to be in a war. Good luck getting enough hard men to man this new wonder army.

Stupid question. I've always said right from the start of the fiasco that Ukraine could not win, and that it should never have started, so why would I support the war in any sense? It's obvious to me that the CIA wanted a repeat of Afghanistan where they bleed Russia in a never ending war of attrition, using the locals as cannon fodder. I guess they didn't consider Trump actually winning and ending it.

IMO the fault lay with the idiots in the US government that approved such a risky operation. If people with a brain cell ran the show it would never have existed in the first place. That's not to excuse the incompetence on the rig or in the management.

Their countries are broke, invaded by aliens, riven by confrontational politics and losing to the right wing. My only question is does the right wing support Ukraine in a war or want to end it. Significantly, the new German leader appears to support Zelensky, but does he have any there there to back it up?

I don't need to worry about the future. I'm already past sell by date, and I leave no children to suffer in the ( deleted ) storm that is coming to western society. I'm just trying to survive on a pension in a world gone mad, till I go up the chimney.

If Trump can destroy American society, it was already too rotten ( or fragile- take your pick ) to survive anyway. Looking from the outside, it's like the end of the Roman civilization just before the barbarians took over. They didn't even need to fight for it as they had been invited. Those that forget history are condemned to repeat it.

Soooo, what are you doing to preserve the future, apart from posting on here. I did the best thing anyone can do for the future and didn't breed any more consumer units. Eight billion and rapidly increasing- far too many humans on the planet for us to survive as we are. We can't keep destroying and polluting the environment and survive as a species, PERIOD. Had we stayed at around 3 billion, we might have had a chance.

If one man can destroy civilization, that civilization is too rotten to survive anyway. IMO western civilization IS that rotten and is for the garbage bin of history. Trump may stop the rot for a few years, but the next POTUS might be Harris- game over. The human world is already destroyed, by 5 billion too many of us. As for Trump, he's not the cause, he's the symptom. The 1% run things, and IMO put up a sham political system to make the sheeple think they have a say- they don't. As for the future of your daughter, unless she is in a health related career, or in hospitality, likely she will be unemployable once AI robotics takes over in the next decade ( IMO ).

That's absolutely correct and it's not Zelensky- he has zero military experience to be doing so. At least Hitler had been a corporal. Did you see Biden wearing a cosplay uniform? Do you see Putin parading around in a cosplay uniform? Zelensky never even served, so he's no right to pretend to be a warrior.
