  1. LOL. Wasn't there a thing called covid happening at the end of his term? Could that possibly have impacted factory workers? You know........ lockdowns and all that. Nice try but no cigar.
  2. I'd believe that if I saw young people actually doing something about it if that what they believe, but I don't see anything that makes me believe they care.
  3. Ed visas are apparently commonly misused to allow someone to stay. I would not blame them for making it more difficult. If you can't use something based on having loadsacash, you can get married, if you trust her. Check out the marriage and divorce subforum first.
  4. I'm not an American and I loved my guns. Gave them up years ago, and wish I hadn't.
  5. Anti gun people probably don't understand what the difference is.
  6. No, it's not. You may not like it but it does the job it's members want it to do which is keeping gun ownership by individuals etc. So, it's actually a successful organisation. If enough Americans wanted to change the constitution to ban the right to bear arms then it would happen. Obviously not enough do, so live with it.
  7. Is the Thai using their own money, or the farang's? Why don't they buy the land as well? Does the OP understand that if it is his money it's a gift to the Thai, over which he will have no ownership at all?
  8. Farangs can't buy land. IMO any farang buys a house with land owned by an unknown Thai is daft.
  9. Don't they consider all non Muslims to be infidels? If so, how can they respect the non Muslims in the country they are in?
  10. War, given humans' nature is always inevitable, but as to whether the next big one will be like WW2 with better weapons or death by a hundred smaller conflicts is beyond my powers of deduction.
  11. I await your suggestions on that with interest.
  12. I could formulate a theory on that, but I'm sure you know as much about that as I do, so I'll pass.
  13. and yet, despite 4 years of trying to convict him of something, they failed every time. Three years on and they have still failed in criminal court to convict him of anything.
  14. Quite right too. Some people need to realise that if they eat too much and exercise too little they will get fat. No need for the taxpayer to be stuck with paying for their treatment when eating less and exercising more doesn't cost anything.
  15. Another reason to vote Trump.
  16. Good for him. Pity it took so long to reward him.
  17. Unfortunately, criminals will have no problems owning as many guns as they want. As usual, laws only impact law abiding citizens. Do I need to remind anyone that America is apparently swamped with illegal firearms. Also, can't see any problem getting them smuggled in across the southern border.
  18. IMO the primary purpose of guns owned by a majority of US citizens would be self defense. Compared to the number of weapons owned that are never used in mass shootings etc the number that are would be infinitesimal. Bit hard to use a car inside one's house for self defense.
  19. LOL. They didn't have a problem prioritising a baseless impeachment stunt over high-stakes needs Americans care about deeply like drug enforcement and disaster relief when it came to Trump, and they did that twice.
  20. Because apparently only the US is worthy of most of the threads on "world news". I don't see much about Sudan, Mali, Congo or any other countries currently in strife. Ukraine has it's own thread, so you have a point, IMO.
  21. You're assuming that the SEAL team don't agree with the rebels, and join them. As for the usual anti Trump diatribe, deflecting.
  22. When a majority of the US adult population decide to stop citizens having access to weapons they can pass an amendment to the constitution. They managed to ban alcohol by such means and we know how that worked, NOT. Apparently, despite the desire to ban gun ownership by a certain section of the population, obviously most do not. IMO part of the reason is what I stated previously on this thread, ie they don't trust the government. Another very valid reason for wanting to keep the right to possess weapons is that the criminals will never be deprived of weapons, despite any laws against it. Some of us would rather criminals died breaking into one's house than one's family and self.
  23. I'm pretty sure cars kill more people in the US than guns, but they don't ban them...............................................I wonder why, NOT. The usual talk talk is about disarming the population, and some of us know why they want to do that. Unfortunately the sheeple tend to believe everything Big Brother tells them to believe.
