  1. I did meet many ( the majority ) of Saudis that were as nice as any human being ever was, but they have just as many rotten ones as we do, and like with us, they are in a position of power. Don't believe that the KIng has the power- the religious have the real power in Saudi. What many westerners don't realise is that many Saudis don't like the ultra religious any more than we do Christian ones.
  2. Well that is the human condition- we are programmed genetically as we are to live in a hunter gatherer society where outside the cave was danger. The way we live has changed, but we are the same. Consider that there are a lot more of them than us, and then consider how you would change things, if you could. I don't think anything will change. We'll still be muddling along doing a bad job when the next comet arrives, or the real virus is unleashed, or the nukes fly.
  3. Unless he actually lived in an Islamic country he only knows what he read and sees on tv. I lived in Saudi, the heartland of Islam, and I was interested in it, so investigated a lot, plus I was with Saudis every working day, unlike westerners that live in isolated enclaves. Can't get experience like that out of a book. When Muslims that don't live in an Islamic country get it wrong ( which I see all the time ), what hope does someone never lived in an Islamic country have of getting it right?
  4. My point which I obviously didn't make clear is that Islam is 600 years behind Christianity. In 600 years from now, if we are still here, hardly any will go to mosques either. Just have to be patient.
  5. 2 + 2 does not make 22. I don't watch Only Fans, because the women are so awful. Plenty of better out there featuring attractive, non tattooed non skanks.
  6. At some point, more slave labor won't be such a necessity, with he advent of humanoid robots, Between those and artificial intelligence, there will be a lot less need for labor. and there we have the reason for the collapse of society. People need to work- it goes beyond just making money. All sorts of psychological problems if we don't work. When AI robotics destroys up to 90% ( IMO ) of manual jobs, the people that do them now will still be here. Do I need to spell out the consequences of that? Don't forget, most western countries have loads of immigrants that came to work, and they will still be here too.
  7. Oh dear, can't any of you Trump haters ever stop saying silly things about him? He's no more mentally compromised than any man of his age, and there has never been a proper psychiatric report that claims he is. You guys might say something interesting and then spoil it by making stupid claims about him.
  8. Just another person that knows little to nothing about Islam, and confuses Islam with what evil men have done with it as cover. Christianity in the Middle Ages was probably responsible for more evil than Islam ever was or is. Ever heard of the Inquisition? Blame men for the evil done in the name of religion and not religion itself. I personally think Islam is on the wrong path, but so was Christianity 600 years ago.
  9. Quite right and we will never know who they are. Literally the man ( men ) behind the curtain making humanity jump to their desires while making themselves richer with every calmity. IMO.
  10. ??????? Stalin and Mao died of old age in their beds. Worked out for them, and IMO they were probably responsible for more death of own citizens than anyone before or since. Idi survived very nicely in Saudi after being kicked out. Even Genghis Khan apparently died of disease, rather than of violence.
  11. LOL. Loads of the aristocracy survived. Where on earth do you get the idea they were all killed? Plenty of articles out there to learn the reality if interested. Try this one for starters. 8.5% is nowhere near "all". https://theconversation.com/the-french-revolution-executed-royals-and-nobles-yes-but-most-people-killed-were-commoners-200455 Overall, Greer estimates 8.5% of the Terror’s victims belonged to the nobility, 6.5% to the clergy, and 85% to the Third Estate (meaning non-clerics and non-nobles). Women represented 9% of the total (but 20% and 14% of the noble and clerical categories, respectively).
  12. Or, people can be like those of us that assume everything is BS till proven not. It's a philosophy that works well for me, though unfortunately I didn't understand how BS runs our lives till too late to benefit from it. For any interested in the topic, plenty of books about BS out there. One way of separating BS from reality is to ask a/ does it sound or look too good to be true ( if it does it's BS ) b/ work out what the benefit to the person promoting something is. c/ start engaging the brain- most of us have common sense- use it.
  13. IMO, either the poor revolt and bring it all down ( there are going to be lots of poor once AI robotics destroys their jobs ) or the 1% go too far and bring it all down, or a real nutter gets into power and nukes the planet, which will bring it all down. Basically, IMO it's just a matter of time before we either pollute ourselves into extinction or we bring the whole rotten farce down, one way or another. Have a nice day.
  14. Sadly, the world has never been run on "right", but on "might" and wealth. China, thanks to being given the technology by greedy capitalists that wish to get richer by exploiting the poor in China, is very powerful, and the ruling class are very rich.
  15. Plenty of non commies hating on this forum. Just mention Trump and it's all over the place.
  16. Yes, the 1% have a knack of surviving. I wonder whom they bribed to end the reign of terror?
  17. Would have helped if you explained who Sam Harris is that we should care what he thinks. Having just looked him up, it might help if you explain why it is that you think we should care about what he thinks. It's not as though he is famous or anything like that. As for Musk, if he wasn't rich, nobody would care about his opinions. He's just another pub talk guy that spouts a load of *******, IMO. Perhaps that is why he's best buds with Trump. Without lots of money they'd just be two guys blathering over a beer while they watch sports in the basement. As for existential threats to humanity, that would be humanity with it's desire to breed itself into extinction, and it's disregard of the environment. Any species that poos in it's own nest isn't going to be around too long ( in cosmic terms ). Humans have been around for about 50,000 years and I'd be surprised if we are still in existence in 5,000.
  18. Getting your ass kicked on here so you now resort to insults. I'm not surprised.
  19. Every one I've ever had a conversation with is woke.
  20. IMO he hadn't signed it. Obviously I can't prove it, but I suspect others have been signing for him on things he knows nothing about. That might explain a lot of things.
  21. If woke was made of paper we could have a big fire of it, and it would finally be worth something. I just hope I'm around long enough to see woke consigned to the rubbish bin of history.
  22. Plenty of subforums that are informative on AN, but world news is not one of them, IMO. I'm surprised that you even think it used to be informative. I've been on it a very long time and "informative" is not a word I'd use for world news.
  23. I think most sensible people will disagree to DEI. Fixed it for you.
  24. Do you even understand what "decimation" means? Apparently not.
  25. It's not what he said, but the disgusting way he sucked up to netanyahu and did everything he could to avoid talking to Palestinians. So completely biased that it's no wonder he achieved zero with all his waste of air fuel.
