  1. Bit of a plonker really. But then of course he is a "social media star" and "online personality"!
  2. In the aftermath of a mass shooting of children in church that picture is about as sick as it gets.
  3. Sometimes Thai politics absolutely plumbs the depths of irony. Huge amounts of money were made from smuggling illegal teak and rosewood across the border from Cambodia - money = power = political career. Votes don't come into it, and he certainly didn't " marry well"!
  4. Daily Express ( the link quoted) is a British tabloid newspaper.
  5. Is he going to deal with the nutritionalĺ benefits of roadkill?
  6. Oh for <deleted> sake, you are a sad, twisted, broken creature! We are talking about killing innocent children you <deleted> tosser!
  7. The political spectrum is very broad - and whilst Farage and his party are definitely on the right, conservative ( small c), their are many groups and individuals much further right than him or his party. By the same token, there are those on the left of this spectrum, who whilst holding views which I find antithetical to mine (Corbyn on the IRA and Israel for example) I would not label as "far left". In my view, one is treading into the extremes of both ends of the spectrum when one is advocating and actively intending, advocating as a formed policy (or actually carrying out if in power) the imprisonment for political reasons, expulsion, active persecution or worse the killing of one's political opponents. Both far right - some Latin American dictatorships, and far left - Castro's Cuba for example have fallen into those categories. Neither Farage nor Corbyn for that matter are doing that. At a lower level, within the UK, neither Lucy Connolly nor Ricky Jones, although both may have broken laws, were really seriously doing that either. Disliking, even finding abhorrent, political opinions are one thing, we all do it; most of us I imagine find some of the posting on here from those with whom we disagree troubling, naive perhaps, irritating and even sometimes plain annoying, but hatefull? Classifying people or parties as extreme right or extreme left is taking it many long steps further; a whole different ball game. Incidentally I would also argue that the same arguments apply to other "spectrums ( spectra?)", notably the religious.
  8. Hi Bob, how's Poole? Smells a a bit down the Town Quay at low tide on a hot day too, as I recall!
  9. Tell you what. Let's start one for the Trumpanistas ( perhaps not the best of titles - carrying as it does connotations of Hispanic influence, the untermensch have an unfortunate way of getting everywhere!), anyway: He is immortal, and when that sad time comes he will be assumed body and soul into heaven. But fear not, just as England has Drakes Drum (most countries have a mythical figure who will return from the past to save them) and when summoned by the wailing of his red hatted acoloytes will return, to save them from immigrants, coloured people and all that ails them! He will make America great again!
  10. If he lives to then! There does seem to be a lot of speculation, some quite well informed, that he won't. Melania - pay day approaching? You have earned it girl!
  11. JAG replied to Tug's topic in Political Soapbox
And a stockpile of "Trump 2028" hats!

When a man grows old and his b*lls grow cold...it bends in the middle like a one string fiddle, and can tell you a tale or two!
  13. The ECHR and the Human Rights Act, together with various treaties on refugees, have and are being used, one might say abused, to allow massive illegal immigration, very largely of young males; immigration which is putting huge strain upon public resources, and is thwarting every attempt to control or prevent that migration. It is opposed by the majority of the population. The "Humans" of whom you speak so disparagingly are the people of a country which has over the last 5 decades taken a leading role internationally in relieving much human misery and opposing political repression worldwide. All done without the ECHR and "Human Rights" legislation. These latter are, way beyond their original remit and intent, being used to enforce a largely unwanted and unpopular demographic and cultural change upon our society. I am no particular fan of Nigel Farage, nor of zip tying my national flags to lamp posts, even less of wearing them as some sort of cloak like a faux medieval costume, but it is a manifestation of increasing popular discontent with what is happening in/to our country. He is articulating that discontent, and has, correctly identified, the ECHR and The Human Rights act as the log jam blocking any effective attempts to deal with this massive illegal migration. All attempts to deal with this, either by this or previous governments run up against this log jam. The ECHR in particular has placed itself as above our Parliaments sovereignty, in deliberately countering, impeding and forbidding, Government policies. It is manifestly not about asylum, these large numbers of migrants have travelled through many safe countries to illegally enter the UK, and have abandoned the real sufferers from oppression and poverty - women, children and the elderly- in their "home countries",
  14. Ah, but that was an accounting error! I mean anyone could confuse 10,000 with 30,000! It happens all the time!
  15. Indeed not, she is a black woman, racism and misogyny, two of the major influences on the fragrant Donnie!
  16. I always understood it to be: "Sassoon! The first casualty of war is your haircut!"
  17. At the very least , he sounds remarkably well qualified to be Secretary of State for Defence!
  18. Remarkable isn't it - such a blatant breach of the powers of Congress, so what has Congress done? Buggered of for a lengthened summer break!
  19. Thanks for making everything so much clearer!
  20. I drink a glass of ginger tea every morning - I buy fresh ginger from my local market, cut off the skin, and then roughly chop up the root and boil it up in water for a few minutes. The same "tea", cold, mixed with soda water, makes a refreshing drink. B20 of ginger lasts me a week. Good stuff.
  21. So come on then, discuss and inform and all that, tell me and my yapping ilk, who don't share your deep anchored faith in and understanding of the fragrant Donnie's plans what is going on. I won't hold my breath...
  22. https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/Cracker_Barrel_Old_Country_Store?file=Cracker_Barrel_Print.svg With that Cracker Barrel image revamp there should be plenty on the market over the next few months!
  23. So much for the much vaunted Trade Deal clinched in Scotland. It really is pointless even bothering to negotiate with Trumps regime. Whatever chaotic mental process, driven by his day to day narcissistic impulses, and whoever was the last lobbyist to stroke his ego in his golden cherub littered oval office, drives his decisions are impossible to predict! A deal is made and broken within two weeks! The rest of the world is going to have to come to terms with quite simply not bothering with the United States. Trump's chaotic, unpredictable and constantly changing scattergun tariff policies make it impossible to have any coherent trade policy when dealing with the USA. Countries will look for alternatives, and even if they are perhaps, less lucrative partners, will deal with them as they are more reliable. America, you are destroying your own place in international trade. And the Dollar, yes it is still the major global reserve currency, but if you (Trump) f--k around with that, then people will bail out from that as well; and forget crypto, it has got his dirty pawprints all over it!
  24. Run out of steam have you?
  25. That is an interesting allegation. Or are you just trolling?
