  1. If I recall no party had a clear majority. Therefore a coalition was formed. I don't like the way the coalition was put together, nevertheless when the dust settled she had a majority in parliament.
  2. Quite unlike Anutin then... But what constitutes being qualified? In a democracy, even one as flawed as this one, the requirement is to command a majority in the parliament. I don't like the way in which that was arranged, but Paetongtarn emerged from the shenanigans following the election commanding a majority. As for these two buffoons from Khon Kaen...
  3. And my giddy aunt, didn't it cause some trouble!
  4. Well in my case it is because I am handsome! On my occasional forays to the very limited bar scene in my neck of the woods I chat, flirt, buy drinks for the girl who I am with and enjoy myself. I don't shag them, bar fine or grope. I do usually enjoy a kiss when I leave the bar. But then, as I said, I am universally regarded as handsome.
  5. A Lieutenant General working as a medic! Talk about multi tasking!
  6. For some reason I have great problems with connecting Bhumjaithai and the concept of honour! I would also far rather that The Prime Minister was talking to Cambodia's leaders, than the army and it's political bedfellows start a war; people will suffer and die, and going on past performance it will be a war they will lose.
  7. It will be interesting to see how the Washington Post readers react to the Bezos driven changes. Having being presumably broadly content with "Pravda on the Potamac", for many years, will they remain with the new direction being taken?
  8. I think everyone knows! Probably not on tape now, technology has moved on. Digital is so much more secure!
  9. I suppose the critical things are 1) how many missiles do they have, 2) how many launchers, 3) can they keep the production facilities intact. One can be sure that the Israelis will be going for the launchers and production facilities!
  10. I am so most certainly not a "lefty" by any coherent standards. I am actually fairly conservative, and liberal in my political opinions. It is only by the most frothy mouthed application of American political metrics that I would ever be considered left wing. I have never claimed that Trump's tariffs would cause worldwide inflation, although I am prepared to be advised by those better schooled in global economics that that could be the case. I certainly fail to see how they can avoid having inflationary effects upon the internal US market! Let us consider an often discussed commodity, children's dolls manufactured in China and immensely popular with little girls in the US. It really is plain as a pikestaff that if you impose a tariff on them, levied at the point of import, the retail price will go up; and very likely the supply will be reduced. Inflation. The same doll, also from China, imported by other countries which do not impose tariffs will not have to cope with this inflation. The tariff system being imposed is very likely to do grave damage to the United States economy, and probably lead to widespread restructuring of the global trade structure - we are already seeing many products previously traded with the US going to and from other markets. This may be, initially, inflationary, perhaps, but medium and long-term free trade cannot but reduce or at least stabilise prices. The US (or it's current government) seems to have decided to have broken from this principle, and they are unlikely to be treated as a trustworthy partner in trade, or many other matters on the international stage in the future. So no, I don't admit that I have no idea. You may of course reduce all discussions to disparaging, and frankly at times, abusive one liners, accompanied by an emoji, but really this only reveals the fragility and lack of depth of your argument. PS, I don't much like Chang, I far prefer Carabao Dunkel Beer, don't have a "fake girlfriend" and live about as far from Pattaya as is possible whilst remaining within the borders of Thailand. Sorry to spoil your stereotyping!
  11. I think that you, if anyone, have rather lost it. I don't think that I have ever discussed or even mentioned "inflation" on any forum! Anyway, carry on laughing. The entertainment is mutual if limited! I am sure we await your next unsolicited jibe with interest.
  12. Thank you, so only in the US. It doesn't come as a surprise that he is trying to engineer a "fire sale price" for his friends! I am surprised that he hasn't started a similar operation on his own Social Media platform, he could call it "Trump Dump" perhaps!
  13. And you? They may post or start topics about Trump, you enthusiastically join in! You do seem to have the time (or little else to do) but track individuals who are insufficiently, shall we say, sympathetic, to your views across the various forums on this board...
  14. I don't really understand these matters - is Trump threatening to close down Tik Tok within the USA or worldwide?
  15. Or Gavin Newsom! Could there be a pattern to our Donalds political spite?
  16. I suppose he will just have to bite the pillow and accept it... Hat, coat, taxi, I'm off then!
  17. @short-Timer, looks like you missed that one out! Susan says:"must try harder"!
  18. No. It is the inevitable result of running government through the late night social media pronouncements of a narcissist.
  19. Wasn't it a secret ballot?
  20. I remember that picture, I remember thinking that his tailor had played a particularly vicious practical joke on him!
  21. I doubt Pakistan has the means to deliver nuclear weapons on Israel.
  22. Apparently, not only did he kill Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, but he also shot their dog. Amongst other things, they raised and trained service dogs. Bastard!
  23. I use a Ghurka Kukri. A bit over the top, but jolly effective!
  24. It is so good to know that you have not lost your charm and appeal Bob!
