  1. Oh I don't know, it could be argued that the rest of the world carries it...
  2. I have little time for Robinson and his views, and am sceptical about claims that Muslims control the CPS and other government and especially judicial agencies. But a soon as I hear the term "gammon" being hurled around by commentators of the "enlightened left" I am reminded why so many recent British "political upsets" have occurred. Many (and I count myself amongst them) are fed up with being dismissed with such contempt. Just why do you think Reform UK is standing where it is in the polls at present?
  3. It is also, in both the U.S. and the U.K. the one court imposed sanction which is perhaps the most open to being applied for, shall we say, reasons not purely serving absolute or impartial justice. In Robinson's case it is not entirely an exaggeration to suggest that his imprisonment was politically motivated. It was certainly the wish of the establishment to "shut him up".
  4. So we will never know the "unexpurgated" list of high profile visitors to Epstein Island! How jolly perplexing, hey ho, never mind, shall we move on? I wonder if Ghislaine Maxwell will be deported? Not to the UK of course, but to some third country where she will never be heard of again.
  5. That is one hell of a commitment @Dan O, given that he F's up on an almost daily basis!🙄
  6. Gracious me, do you really hold to the belief that somewhere around half of all Americans are weak half men, deranged & mentally ill? No wonder your country is rapidly sinking into a morass of malevolent buffoonery and rampant corruption!
  7. Yes, fiction and (mainly) non fiction.
  8. You are the one trying to elicit private and personal emotions, feelings and details from strangers on an anonymous internet forum! Given your umh, history of antagonism (?) is it not likely that your question is at least a precursor to stalking. I know what I feel about my father - and am not in the slightest bit interested in knowing what others think of theirs.
  9. What can one say - the man was known as the author of children's fiction prior to his bizarre appointment!
  10. A "Labour Luvvie" media personality, living in North London, running for Mayor. That should present some challenges to the news editorial teams of the BBC and Channel 4!
  11. JAG replied to Yagoda's topic in The Lounge
Albeit sadly, with a regular body count of slaughtered schoolchildren.
  12. You don't have a monopoly on truth. People can, and often do, interpret events, actions and particularly statements in different ways. Similarly opinions can and do vary. These are things that you cannot accept, and almost invariably trigger a stream of invective, accusations and allegations of lying; presented very often as as stream of vitriol. I actually don't know why I bother replying to you! You invariably end up twisting people's words, and trying to bait them into losing their cool with you - presumably so that you can present yourself, (in true Trump/MAGA style) as the victim of a widespread conspiracy; and I suspect if possible to present to moderators in an attempt to get your opponents suspended!
  13. It was 49.8% of the votes cast. That is not winning the popular vote.
  14. As I said, your last 3 posts.
  15. We used to have one during the latter part of the cold war, when the threat of sabotage and disruption from the Soviet Union both in war and in transition to war was significant. It was called the Home Service Force. Recruited largely if not exclusively from ex forces members, I had some dealings with it in a couple of staff jobs, they were effective, and of course came "already trained". It was effective and very cheap. Chopped very quickly as part of the "peace dividend". Quite a number of European countries, particularly those nearer the North and East of the continent maintain similar "Home Guard" organisations. "Don't tell him Pike"!
  16. Looking back over your last 3 posts on this topic, "tossing vitriolic bile" seems to be your forte!
  17. Ah, rather like the "Alien Friends Act" - signed into law some 228 years ago wasn't it?
  18. I shouldn't be at all surprised if this is what this is leading up to. The talk of "invasion" could be a lead up to some form of martial law. The talk of not being allowed to do what he "was elected to do" could well be the opening steps towards limiting or suspending elements of the Constitutional framework. I wonder if he will try to introduce it by executive order?
  19. 49.8% is not winning the popular vote.
  20. What's Congress got to do with it? Their legislative function has been replaced by "rule by Sharpie"!
  21. Canada is an independent sovereign nation. It is part of The Commonwealth. It does not " belong" to the UK.
  22. Yes. Starmer has actually put the King in a very difficult position. In inviting Trump for a (second) state visit, at the time at which he (Trump) is actively making threats to annexe Canada, which is another of his Realms. The King could not refuse to endorse Starmer's invitation, without sparking a major constitutional crisis. For someone with a legal background as distinguished as his, Starmer has shown a remarkable lack of grasp on the nuances of our Constitutional Monarchy, which is precisely the subtext of Carney's remarks. Remarks which one suspects are rather in tune with the views of the bulk of the UK's population. It may well prove to be a turbulent few days! Blimps and Canadian flags may well be prominent. Still no doubt the visit will go ahead - neither Starmer nor Trump would be able to resist the grandstanding. I understand that the highlight of the visit is to be the unveiling of two statues in Parliament Square: one of the 1st President of The United States, George Washington, who was known for being unable to tell a lie, and one of the current incumbent, Donald Trump, who is known for being unable to tell the truth.
  23. He starts one along these lines quite regularly - bit of an obsession with him I rather think!
  24. To be fair he probably is not on top form - he failed to link anything to Hunter Bidens laptop!
