  1. You will not get a extension from the labour office they are only issued if the company has BOI status, if the company doesn't have BOI then no extensions based on working and they will have to get a

NON immigrant visa from another country and normally the bordering countries only give a 3month, the guys who is married will be ok but to get his extensions he will need 400k in the bank for 3 months or tax receipts for thelater 3 months showing paid tax on minimum 40k.

Didn't know that a married person only needs 2 Thais per work permit , good to know

  2. Sorry but this is aload of crap, all these 'articles' say there is a problem but nobody says what the problem is, one would assume that if you went to a website that wanted to know your geographical position to determine the closest server for you to download a file then they would probably use your actual IP address. Also w does a web server know what DNS server you are using, this info is not sent out in a IP packet

  3. Dtac really get on my nerves, I used to have a blackberry package that was BBM only no internet nothing and it was fine, at the end of every month when the package stopped they would start charging for Internet even though I wasnt using it.

  4. There is a clearly marked desk open 6AM to midnight, they provide everything you need (form and photo). Not actually used it myself but there is invariably someone processing a re-entry whenever I fly out (twice a month at present).

Lop is quite correct, said desk is only accessible after you have checked-in and passed through security, so is only available for departing passengers.

Slight fee loading (100 Baht IIRC) over the cost from an immigration office.

EDIT Your link gives a 404 error sad.png

Then you should change the text on this page if it is incorrect

  5. They can only be obtained after check-in for a departing flight .

Lets not give the OP any false information please lopburi3 you of all people should know that you should getting a reentry permit from the airport is very hit and miss..

A re-entry permit must be obtained at the immigration office designated for your area. While it states that in an emergency it can be obtained at the airport no member has yet reported whether or not it is possible.

  6. I'll be moving to Chiang Mai soon and will need to do my extension of stay there. I'll most likely be in temporary accommodation at the time, maybe even a hotel. Is it ok to give this as proof of address? I don't want to get long-term accommodation right away because I'll be leaving the country for 3-6 months.

I doubt it normally they want pics of and the wife and a rental agreement

  7. Just fly, but before you do, book an airticket with Airasia to anyone in the area outside of Thailand, for both of you, but before 30 days are up, then use it if you want to or bin it, this way you do not need a visa to enter Thailand.

I don't even think you need to do that just come over as you are, I'd they want to see your return flight show then the 2013 flight you will be fine.

My advice is this, if your traveling through Asia for almost a year your gonna have plenty of issues like these just go with the flow man, it will be fine.

  8. Given Thai jail sentences for Westerners who murder other Westerners here (3 years and under), he'll probably spend less time in prison this way.

You reckon? It isn't a chance I would want to take to be honest. Manslaughter in the UK, may get 7 and do 3.

I read a post on another forum yesterday with links to two Westerners who were convicted (or plead guilty) of murdering another Westerner in Thailand. Their total sentences were 3 1/2 years for one, and I think the other was 2 1/2 years but he was deported after serving 2 years.

I haven't seen any other Thai sentences where a Westerner is convicted and sentenced for murdering another Westerner, but if somebody finds one please post it up. :)

IIRC from reports Lee Aldhouse had about 5 million baht transferred into his Thai bank account just afterwards.

I'm sure I don't need to comment on what that might be arranged to be used for.

I would say thats not true, I thinking ts gone a bit to far to be able to bribe anybody and expect to get a light sentence, this being the first time a English guy has been extradited to Thailand I would think that he will be made a example of and look at over 10
