If you have a extension of stay Non-O based on marriage or something else then yes you need to get a re entry permit and the same for a NON-B if you have a extension based on working, if you have a standard Non-O that has ben issued out of the country then you do not need a re entry permit you can come and go as many times as you like on that one

Thanks,i have an non imma O, Muliple entry based on marriage and family given in australia ,each year, visa only says muliple entry ,not standand or whatever,hate to be caught out,.maybe have to check with imma pattaya before i go. unless you r 100%.

An extension of stay is issued only in Thailand from the immigration office and it is this that you need a re entry permit, anything that was issued out of the country you do not need a re entry permit, an extesnion of stay based on marrige means that you go to the immigration and apply to stay in the country for the reason of supporting your family and you are married, a NON-O issued out of the country based on marriage means that the reason you want to come to Thailand is that you are married so there is the difference

In future you may wish to inquire about that for next tome as it is only 1900 baht a year, you never have to leave the country unless you want to and it saves you having to go back to Aus to get one, you only need to show savings of 400,000 baht in a thai bank for the last 3 months or proof that you pay tax on 40,000 if you are working or a certified leter from your embassy that you are recieving a salary from a company outside of thailand that is equivalent to 40k per month

Whatever you choose try and get one that has a service center in Thailand as the 3 yr warranty they provide means nothing if oyu have to spend $100 to send it to Singapore, my boss just brought a Iomega drive they have a service center behind pantip so the salesman says and iomega are a good solid backup option

Driving in bangkok seems a really daunting task until you have done it... aslong as youv got your wits about then you will be fine..

in my case the reason why i drive in BKK is that from where i live it can take 20 mins to get to and from work on a bike or 1 1/2 hrs to get a taxi/bts/walk combo so im saving well over 2 hrs a day ontop of that iv got 2 kids under 2 and i seem to constantyl be going to the shops for milk, nappies or any other thing the mrs can thing off so having a bike is handy for doing that kind of stuff

IMHO the only people who dont need a bike are the people who live in the pubs around soi4 anyone who cannot be arsed to sit in some kind of traffic will find one handy

Motorbikes and bangkok don't really mix , esp if you are a ferang .. Best to keep to the bts or taxis ...

This is a strange 1 .. when you say you forward the emails to Gmail, are we to presume that you have set a rule up in Thunderbird where all emails that come in are then forwarded to Gmail? If that is the case then they must arrive in the thundrbird account first before the rule can forward to Gmail so if you are not getting them in Thunderbird they must be in your spam folder, otherwise maybe you can tell us how you set the forwarding up.

Has there been any news on this George, i PM's you mu username/password before but i have had no response and it seems im not the only one having this problem..

I will say again, i have 50 conversations that when i click on the messenger tab or my conversations tab just opens up a blank page on several different computes and all browsers ie,safari,chrome,firefox,opera..

all of the new PM"S i can see as they are stored in notifications but i cannot see anything thing when i click on conversations, can somebody please look into this I have important PM"S that i need to access.. i am happy to provide my username/password so somebody can see for themselves

Got on my bike this morning to go to work and the bike is playing up, it refs ok no problem, it drives ok aswell but when i try and give it any power to go a little faster it just splutters and dies i have to go back to little refs to continue, i have no clue about bikes but its seems to be either not enough petrol getting in..anybody a knowledgeable person on bikes could tel me if its serious or not

I believe it's called "bai seth P. N. D. 91" and you (or anyone else) can only get it by going on the http://www.rd.go.th website and

download and print it after filling in your tax i.d. number.

Staff at your company should be able to do this or if not, staff at the revenue office could help you if you ask nicely.

You need both a wifi card which goes into your computer and you need a wifi router which sends the signal to the card/pc.. you can get either a pci which slots into the pc or a USB one which ever is easiest for you

To answer your question, I already had my member registration with USTVNow from back in July when I signed up for their PRIOR service...and I gave them credit card info at that time to pay for a $5, 3 day trial of their PRIOR service... At that time, perhaps because all their plans were pay then, there was no SSN issue involved.

So when they launched their new service this week that included the new free plan, I didn't have to register again.... just use my original ID and password with them. That's why I was unaware of the new SSN or U.S. credit card verification process... As I've already said, I appreciate you correcting the info about that..of which I had been unaware for the reason I just explained.

I've been registered with them for about a month now, and had absolutely no spam or any other problem with them. And as I mentioned before, after they canceled their prior service amid my 3 day trial, they immediately refunded my $5 credit card charge. They are a reasonably big company in the U.S. providing expat telephone and TV services... I have no reason to think they are anything other than a legitimate business. They've certainly acted that way in my dealings with them.

That said, I wouldn't provide them or any other vendor over the Internet with my SSN number... That's not a good thing to do... But I'd have no problem giving them a credit card number to verify my account and U.S. billing address. I paid them $5 via credit card, and then they refunded my $5 later. And nothing further beyond that.
