I agree I thnk with Rob if the trust is not there I do not think I would want to go with with the relationship.
I also think that the vast majority of Thai girls dont want to scam that much but I do think that there are quite a few that do and also there is no social taboo with having several farangs in order to mantain a living so I guess the credit card thing can be a good thing

Hi all 2 questions if possible;
My fiancé is now in the UK with me we are aiming on getting married and in turn submitting for the next part (the two year visa), could some one please tell me which form and point me towards where I would find it please.
We are also expecting a child in the next 8 weeks and I was just wondering if any one new or had any experience with clamming child support, I know she can not for 6 months but can I? If any one knows the process any advice would be fantastic
Thanks BREAD

£10000 pounds is the legal amount you can move from the UK to the EU (a lot of EU countrys are 15000 euros) and I guess this will be the same out of the UK, I think the £10k mark is from the money lundering regs.

just for my 2 cents worth
I put in on wednesday the 11th for a fiancee visa to the uk with a load of docs
one call on friday saying there was to be a telephone interview on monday, they spoke to my GF 2 times asking about my family e.t.c some questions she dident know the answers to (basic stuff as well bless her) they then called her again tuesday and then visa was granted on wednesday so all in all 5-6 days though in that time i wanted to speak to the embassy as i thought some of the questions seemed stupid but i could not get through.

Just a quick shout out if any one is sending documents to Thailand, sent using DHL on Tuesday night and the documents arrived safe and sound on this morning (Saturday) in 3 ish days which is not bad for £50.
though I do have to say when booking in it does depend on who you speak to as some of the operators there cound not get there head's round delivering past bangkok which is the same as web site that wont allow you to put in any were out side bangkok.
In case any one does wonder you get a tracking number from DHL and then in turn DHL pass it to THAIPOST and they will also give you a tracking number (different website) but you can follow it all the way.

yes I herd this as well that some of the Thai comunity is not so good but then I guess the same could be said for the UK as well, but ill keep an eye out
thanks all

so TaurusUK on the basis of what you are saying then I have got the form of the Internet all ready (VaF-4) and filled it in so there is no advantage at all to doing this online aplication......is that right ?
-
Thank you for the response
I am sure that once the initial "hype" of getting here finishes and the normality of life settles back in then it will be important to make sure she has some people to talk to.
I will find out where the supermarket is and in turn a night or so out at "taste of Thailand" sounds in order

Has any one had any experience with applying on line for a UK visa I have noticed that this option is now available from the website and I was wondering if it is in any way detrimental eg. they just appoint the applicant any way and ask them to bring originally profs with them ?

Guys a quick bit of help please
I am just about to apply for my GF fiancée Visa to come to the UK on the (fingers crossed basis) that she gets it I am trying in my head to plan how and what the next items are, and am just trying to avoid and pit falls that there may be .
can any one say what they have found and let me know any bills documents I should keep an eye out for for the next few years until citizenship is obtained.
at the moment this is how i foresee it please correct me if I am wrong.
- Vaf-4 Fiancée Visa - lasts 6 months during which you can marry then reapply for (at any point?)
- FLR which lasts for two years (during which time you should try to amass as many bills e.t.c in both names, (is this meant to be MR and MRS ?)
- One month before the end of the two years provided GF has passed a course for life in the UK with citizenship included you can then apply for ILR?
- you then can apply for citizenship and after three years in total a passport
- Vaf-4 Fiancée Visa - lasts 6 months during which you can marry then reapply for (at any point?)

thanks guys

After the UK fiancée visa and now we are married what do i need for the next two year part, please
