  1. ...

I wouldn't think they'd put this sign all the way down here for the store on Thepprasit. Maybe at the intersection of Thepprasit and Suk, but not down here in the boonies!

Hmm, this reminds me of the giant signs everywhere, even in Laem Chabang / Sri Racha a few years ago..

    Opening soon:

SEA's biggest IT Mall at Pattaya Klang (the empty lot near Foodland).

And we all know what happened.

Did that sign say Pattaya Klang? If so, makes sense. This sign didn't indicate a specific location.

Good news indeed, but as I live in Soi Chaiyapruek I have to fight the traffic to get there, no worse than going to Big C I suppose.

Traffic is getting worse and worse here. That's for sure. At least Foodland will be an alternavie to Tesco and Big C???? Or at least a decent, inexpensive restaurant?

  2. I don't know. There is a big empty lot right there. We've heard rumors of a super market coming in around here for the past few years. We've gotten this from our neighbors who own about 40 rai of land right in that area. They've been approached by many different companies over the years. Even a hospital was negotiating with them.

We're keeping our fingers crossed it will be done before the Klang underpass is finished.

  3. I am so proud to be a TV member. I love that we have such a close nit community of racist losers that are allowed to spout off any garbage against any other culture as long as it isn't Thai bashing.

I wish there was an app that would delete my entire account and every single post I have made on these forums. I am ashamed to be a member of a community that allows this garbage to continue for 3 pages.

It's a fine line we walk, between removing posts and letting them go. This post seems to discuss people's personal experiences as opposed to just out and out bashing of a nationality. Though there are some posts like that and they have been removed.

Yes, we're more sensitive to Thai "bashing". For a variety of reasons. But this is a problem with anonymous internet forums. We do our best and many members here have expressed their concerns via the report button. We appreciate the heads up.

I'll try watching this thread for a bit. If it really goes off, we'll close it. Unfortunately, our news forum has many topics about the Chinese here and their poor behavior. It is a fact and one the Chinese government has even recognized.

  4. I think it's extremely interesting where everybody is from. We're lucky here in Thailand. Pretty much the entire world is represented here. It can make for some wonderful conversations. Most of the times anyway. whistling.gif

Yes get to meet half of SAS squad smile.png

I've yet to meet anybody who's ever claimed this. Other than my neighbor and he was actually part of some military squad. Not sure which one, but I did see his pics when he was fully kitted out! LOL

  5. Transparent arse licking and arse kicking contest. Blatant racism and bigotry set to music.

    Who cares any more?

About 200 million people watched on TV on Saturday as the 27 finalists, the most ever, battled it out musically. Approximately 10,000 people followed the contest live in Vienna's mammoth Stadthalle, with 25,000 others crowding the main public viewing venue in front of Vienna's City Hall.

    Seems it was quite popular....

  6. My good friend lives there. Because he flies in and out of Swampy several times a month. If it wasn't for that, he'd probably live elsewhere. According to him, the shopping is a bit limited and traffic is getting really bad on that stretch of Suk. But I think that's the case for all of it! LOL

They do a lot of their shopping in Pattaya and are down here a lot for entertainment, visiting with friends, etc. But they've got a really nice house not far from the beach. A few hundred meters. Most who live in that area are Thais, or Japanese further down in Sri Racha.

  7. If someone had to be bitten, the one most responsible for keeping them there, was the right one. I wish him a speedy recovery but these animals were never meant to be kept as pets. Sadly now, this tiger, Hern, will have to be moved to a cage or put down because now that he has tasted raw blood, he is a danger to humans. They have always fed these cats cooked meat so as not to arouse them.

Unfortunately, many have been bitten over the years, at various places around Thailand. They've got a place in Chonburi where you can get a pic taken with a tiger. A local lady was mauled a few years ago there also.

  8. ProDent with Dr. Sonram, previously with Pattaya International Hospital. On North Pattaya road, about 300M towards Suk from the dolphin roundabout. Just past Bangkok Bank on the left.

    He is great with patients.

  9. A Bloody Mary may be a great way to take the edge off during a long flight, but according to science, that savory-spicy concoction actually tastes better at 30,000 feet.

According to a new study conducted by Cornell University, sweetness is suppressed “in noisy situations—like the 85 decibels aboard a jetliner,” while the taste of umami-rich foods like tomato juice was “significantly enhanced.”

Umami, often known as the fifth taste, is a Japanese term that is used to define the rich, savory flavor of foods like mushrooms, miso, aged cheese, and tomato. Scientists link it back to the way our taste receptors receive amino acids like glutamate.

  10. Lat Phrao Rd for many years has several shops where you could got those plates from.. why the police

woke up now, that's a mystery....

Because of pressure from the army. I was on Sukhumvit for part of this week. Saw the cops ticketing a scooter driver. Why? A man in green was right there. No vendors on the sidewalks now. Why? I saw a man in green patrolling the area around 6PM, tagging along with the police who use to profit off this. I guess they are allowed back after that time???

Same when I was up north a few months ago. Roadside check points are now manned by men in green. Immigration control at the border had a man in green just sitting there.
