I've never been stopped coming in toThailand.I wouldn't give this much concern
Of the 30+ times I've come into the country, I've been checked at least 80% of the time. Not the same with my wife!

It will take you the better part of a day for transport, from/to any of these places. Cut out at least one of these places. What do you guys primary want to do?

The pinned thread at the top of the travel forum has a lot of resources for finding good fares. Do you have to fly from Romania?

Isn't there still some sort of ban on dialog with the current government from the EU?

I've been through with all sorts of stuff. As long as it's legal, and not over the limit booze or cigs, you should be fine. I did hear about someone getting nailed for a big box of frozen salmon. So seems some food stuffs might get flagged also. Sometimes the checks are random, sometimes it's every bag. But typically not small backpacks or purses.

Russia is a wonderful country. Most there are good people just trying to have a good life. As with many other countries, their government leaves a lot to be desired. I had a fantastic time over 4 weeks and met some great people. Including spending the night with a guy in Siberia jamming old rock n roll songs till the wee hours over way too many vodka shots. One of my best travel memories.

I would email the embassy in Bangkok for help. They always replied to me promptly. What a mess!

I am still waiting for The Nation to man up and place an appology for it assisting in the creation of the conditions that led to the coup. I hope that the junta stay in power for atleast another 5 years and they make the life on the Thai media hell. This will be the only way that the yellow livered Thai media will learn that you must allow time for a democracy to work on its own and not take the coup shortcut everytime.
Blame for the coup lies on all sides of the political spectrum.

Let's try to stick to the topic, please.

Well written article. Throwing bananas at reporters is probably not the most professional thing to do.

One word John Kerry ,,, so out of touch ,,,,,,,,,
Can't say I can argue with that point. He probably should be at home painting Theresa's toenails like a good aging gigalo
John Kerry didn't write the report, just submitted it.

It should be obvious to everyone by now that Putin does not want a war. If he did, he would have never waited on NATO to set up shop on his doorstep. He is patiently hoping to kill the west at their own game. He is going after the global economy. He needs time to make that happen and we will not see him in a fight unless we attack and leave him no choice. There are no Russian units in Ukraine and here never has been. I find it hard to believe that so many are so gullible.
If it turns out that I am wrong about this, I will gladly apologize to the entire forum.
Putin has lied about troops in Crimea, and has admitted troops are in Ukraine. Just there on holiday. LOL
Plenty of evidence Russian hardware is in Ukraine. Impossible to refute this. So please don't try.

It would help if you'd be specific about the prescriptions.

yep, couple of weeks in foreign country is enough to understand everything about place.
Having just spent a week in Ukraine, the locals are definitely not blaming Merkel for this. Nor the US. Anti Russian sentiment is high in Ukraine and the Baltic countries. Considering their history with Russia, it's easily understood.
It is Merkel who has put us back into the cold war. Her E,U expansionist plans.Thank you Mr. Putin for putting us back into a cold war. What a wonderful person you are.
Putin has been in power for along time and has never been a threat until this Ukraine situation created by Merkel..
Then you have the U.S wanting to put missiles in places like Poland,
Remember what happened when the old USSR were going to put missiles in Cuba. So you can expect a reaction from Russia.
I have no problem with Russia but I hate the Dictating E.U and I am English.
Just spent a week in Lithuania, now in Latvia, heading to Estonia.
Understood, but sure beats those who've never been but act like they know it all.

My wife just got here in Riga. Both she and I are loving it. Super nice people.

Being here in the Baltic States, you see first hand the reasons they don't like Russia and are afraid of another invasion. Their history with Russia has not been a good one. I've visited 2 genocide museums so far. Pretty bad.

Enough, please.

Dont know why i really love american tv but cant stand yanks in person!
And you obviously are so superior with your fine manners. The hypocrites on here who build themselves up to be better than are some of the most obnoxious people I've run into regardless of origin. Just sayin'.
Not at all, but just being honest
Would you be referring to my neighbors in the US who are from the Philippines? Or the ones from Korea? Or the ones from Spain? Or the numerous ones from Mexico? Or...

Fakes are almost impossible to spot. I've seen copies of musical instruments that fool all but the best. Seriously. It's unreal what they are copying now. My friend just told me about bike parts that are being copied. Almost perfect copies. But no where near the quality. Cost is typically a major giveaway.

I don't believe you can legally bring prescription drugs into thailand by mail. You can get away with it, but it's not legal.
With regards to Chinese drug wholesalers, I'd be very worried if the drugs are real. Copies are rampant in China.

Meetup.com has some great events.
Entering Thailand, customs more likely to stop Thai wife or farang husband?

I'm usually coming in with at least 2 very large roller bags. When coming in light, I've never been stopped. Never had to put my backpack through. But sometimes, every small pull alongs goes through. Depends on the position of the sun, the moon, etc. ;-)
