I had a bangkaew and he bit the nannies all 3 of them for no apparent reason. This was after they had lived with us for many months. Since i have two babies and just couldn't trust him. I got rid of him but which i think was a mistake. I think i should have bought a muzzle and gave it a try before i made my decision.
When I was very young, I was at a neighbor's house, playing with their German Shepard. A wonderful dog that had been in the family for years. I was 2, rolling around with it, playing, etc. Later that day, something spooked it and it bit the owner. A lady. She had many stitches on her face and was permanently disfigured for the rest of her life. He eye never closed properly after that.
Dogs can be dangerous. Even if well trained.

I like this guy a lot. Some great info here:
http://www.cesarsway.com/dog-behavior/biting/Dog-Bites-101-Why-Bites-Happen
There are many who would say one bite and your out. You've had 2 cases. IMHO, that's unacceptable. As one of Caesar's articles says, you've got a loaded gun in your house.
I'm a huge dog lover and have rescued many, mainly Bouviers. Big dogs. I trained them well, and did a lot of what was mentioned in this article. Plus, they were NEVER let out of the house unless on a lead. And they were well trained on a lead. No pulling, no tugging. When I said "sit", they sat and didn't move.
I think this is best over in the pet forum. Best of luck. You've got a tough decision.
Topic moved.

I think this might be better off over in the family and children forum. A link will be left in the travel forum for replies also!
It is a long trip. And even as an adult, I HATE it! LOL
-
That's a major route. You should have no problems. And down to Bang Sapan is perfect. The train station is closer in to town. I believe the bus lets you off on the highway?
We just took a scooter taxi into town. Easy. Sounds like fun!
-
I'd probably take a train versus the bus if safety was my #1 concern. Which most of the time it is. But, the train can, at times, be 2x+ the time.
Trains are fine here. Buses....well....that's another story. Avoid overnight buses at all costs. We have accidents here, but there's also thousands of buses on the go every day with no problems.
What is your planned route? Maybe that will help us answer you a bit better??

OK guys, back to the OP. This is about China.

2 different tickets? Where are you coming in from? I believe the official connection time is relatively short. But if complications arise, and you have 2 separate tickets, you're stuck. If one ticket, they'll take care of you.

A vague question asked on a robustly moderated website in a country subject to heavy censorship is not going to reveal all that much, I would have thought...
I have to agree. The crazies are permitted unlimited scope to vent their bile. Those of us who are deeply troubled at the current catastrophic debacle are muzzled or constantly inhibited by the need for self censorship. It's not possible to have a rational discussion here.
Not true. Rational discussions are always welcomed, within the confines of the Thai law and our forum rules. Unfortunately, we have to deal with lots of irrational ones. Speak your opinion, but do it politely and be respectful of other members.

I'm at a loss for words....

And of course Western security services, taught to fight under Marquis of Queensbury rules, would never resort to such underhand methods as trolling or fifth columnists to undermine its enemies.
Honestly, you wonder where most people have been for the rest of their lives when you read yellow press junk like this and the naive responses from some posters.
If you really want to know about how dirty war games can get, make a start by Googling "Project MKultra".
You'll need a shower afterwards.
"yellow press junk"??? Really....

As you are headed to Pattaya from Makro, there is a cut off road that goes to Thepprasit, called soi 54. It's easy to miss and about 1km or so north of Makro. Turn left there and around the first curve, on the right, seems to be a fairly large fitness center. It's relatively new.

You can ship your bike via the post office no problem. But don't think I'd risk the other stuff. I'd just rent a car and load it up! Or a truck. Wherever you are moving in Bangkok, the locals will know someone who will help you unload it.

Post removed referencing an illegal activity and in violation of forum rules.
18 U.S. Code § 1001 - Statements or entries generally(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—(1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;(2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or(3) makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry;shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or ...Well put. Also remember, Thai authorities do peruse this forum from time to time. So I removed the post you are quoting.
Last time I got my income verification they asked if what I stated was true and reiterated the law you mention for providing false info. And the penalties.

For a quiet getaway place try Bang Burd. Beautiful unspoilt beach, friendly locals, a few bars and restaurants, not far from the town. Located between Hua Hin and Chumphon (nearer to Chumphon) I believe there are now flights from BKK to Chumphon.
Hope this fits the bill.
Bang Burd is a beautiful beach area but not much there for accomodation. Better option may be to stay in Bang Saphan and day trip but depends on the individuals requirements.
Nok Air fly Don Mueang to Chumphon twice a day and easy one hour flight it is. Sit on the right side when heading south for coastal views. There are no taxis sitting there waiting to collect arriving passengers so have your resort of choice arrange pick up.
We took almost 1/2 day to drive from Ban Krut to just past Bang Saphan Noi. Haven't done this in years, but after 4 days in Ban Krut, we were a bit disappointed with the water quality in Bang Saphan. Especially the northern part.
I don't think we checked out Bang Burd, but will next time!

The water puppet show is great!

Here is a quite stunning infographic showing the human cost of FIFA corruption.
Wow!
In sum, the Guardian put the total Qatar death toll of workers from Nepal, India and Bangladesh at 964 in 2012 and 2013. -
I have yet to find a "boxed" wine here in Thailand that isn't mixed with "fruit" to get around the tax requirements
I would even be willing to pay extra for real wine in a box, just for the convenience but alas have never found any
What the OP mentions is not real wine. It's as you describe. Fruit wine. Even says so on the box. And if stored at ambient temperature here, will definitely go bad very fast.
I get a lot of my wine from Central Department store where they guarantee it's been keep at proper temps. I've had a few dodgy bottles and they've replaced them with no questions asked.
If you like wine, and are not rich, Thailand is not the place to be!
http://www.winespectator.com/webfeature/show/id/45577
Heat is enemy number one for wine. Temperatures higher than 70° F will age a wine more quickly than is usually desirable. And if it gets too much hotter, your wine may get “cooked,” resulting in flat aromas and flavors. The ideal temperature range is between 45° F and 65° F (and 55° F is often cited as close to perfect), though this isn’t an exact science. Don’t fret too much if your storage runs a couple degrees warmer, as long as you’re opening the bottles within a few years from their release. -
There's also a fair number of software packages that will do this. Some are not cheap, but if you do this on a regular basis, better than having to run around town.
-
We went through this on here a few years ago with flights to/from North America. They have the same issues. Cheaper if purchased there than here. Some of the comments were more demand there and more competition. But it is frustrating. Especially now as I'm originating from here! It is definitely more expensive. I think it might also have something to do with the time of year?
I just did a test with Norwegian Air, BKK to ARN. The low fare calendar shows much cheaper fares from here to there than the reverse in the same month. But as a round trip, the fares are almost the same if you pick the cheaper dates.
-
Demand. More demand from the UK to here and not the reverse. So prices are higher if originating from here. Methinks....55555

One lane for the south bound side? What a mess....
A new big condo in NaJomtien
in Pattaya
Posted
Wow. This will be a big one. Walked by today and noticed a few of the existing places are being shut down. Casuarina Hotel is one and I think Baramie also. Bacco Beach and The Glass House restaurants seem to be staying.
