    How convenient. No tests;no cases.

Why would one get tested anyway. No symptoms no test. If you have a common cold or a slight flue, the test might be positive and you get tangled in a lot of problems.

Still funny there are so little cases as according to Johns Hopkins University about 34,000 Thai die of Influenza and Pneumonia every year. Are those figures correct? Let's assume that Johns Hopkins is trustworthy, but then again they also produced in 2017 the 'Spars Pandemic 2025 - 2028' report, something that is a must read.

As an ageing UK educated expat here and restricted from travelling to Dubai (where I have residency visa and access to vacvine) or even UK, I have to say it is good news for me. I will do my utmost to get vaccinated.

Most people who get vaccines or medication during their lifetimes never ask where it comes from or for sure never realistically check the paperwork always included which discusses, amongst other things, potential side effects etc. Every medication has a potential for side effects but the numbers are tiny so why suddenly look so closely and be scared by the same tiny numbers involved in Covid 19 vaccines, a vaccine, which like other vaccines, has been proven to work.

We live in different times now. Being an educated expat, as you describe yourself, and having gathered some wealth, as I see it, you must have had a wheel barrow as you don't seem to critically think for yourself.

Actually,  some great progress has been made regarding the pollution....... thanks to the lessons learned from Covid :

The Thai authorities,  after numerous meetings and reports,  have now come out with this:

All citizens during these months of pollution haze are reminded to observe SOCIAL DISTANCING  as a way to insure not as much pm2 can enter one's bloodstream as there will be more air circulating .

    huh ?

    You're kiddin' me

  4. I dare say Covid has some nasty competition. Only problem is government isn't as panicked over pollution as over Covid. Why can lots of people die in Thailand and no government is doing anything firmly about it and when it comes to 'Covid the Flue' a whole host of measures are issued and even a country, or better it's people, can be ruined. Why is the WHO not more outspoken/interested you might ask.

  5. So that's alot of years in prison for:

    -Abducting a person

    -First degree murder

-Using a police residence for faul practice

-Using a police car when off duty

    -Fooling police dogs

    -Burning rubbish, specially rubber

    -Polluting open water

-Burning with tires instead of fire

-Creating an overdose of CO2 (not sure if there are already CO2 laws in Thailand) lol

    -Spoiling a third party's soil

    -Dishonoring the RTP

    -Dishonoring Thai people/Thailand

    Did you find more options?

BANGKOK (NNT) - The start of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Thailand has sparked optimism of an economic recovery. The Prime Minister said today that the government has continued to put measures in place to help affected people, while reassuring the general public the country’s financial stability remains good.

Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha reassured the general public in a specific PM Podcast on Thailand’s financial stability, citing the latest evaluation from the Big Thee credit rating agencies S&P, Moody’s, and Fitch.

According to the Prime Minister the three companies still retain Thailand’s confidence rating due to high international reserves, and good fiscal discipline and stability.

By the end of 2020, Thailand’s treasury balance was recorded at 473 billion baht, which is 49.5% higher than the previous fiscal year. The national economy is expected to grow better following the start ofthe COVID-19 vaccine rollout, and economic measures introduced by the government.

On the vaccination campaign, the Prime Minister said the first 200,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from China’s Sinovac Biotech have already been distributed to 13 first priority provinces.

Around 3,000 medical workers are among the first to receive this vaccine, with people who have already had their first jab reporting mild reactions.

The Prime Minister said the country has already pre-purchased 26 million doses of AstraZeneca’s vaccine, with plans to purchase 35 million more COVID-19 vaccines, in order to vaccinate half the country’s population by the end of this year.

On the request from private firms to import COVID-19 vaccines, the Prime Minister said the government and the Ministry of Public Health will allow these imports, given that the vaccines have been approved for emergency usage by the Food and Drugs Administration.

So far, four importers have filed for approval of their vaccine with the FDA, namely AstraZeneca, the Government Pharmaceutical Organization, Janssen-Cilag, and Biogenetech.

The Prime Minister said more doses of Sinovac’s vaccine are arriving soon in the second and third deliveries, and will be distributed among more groups of people, especially in tourist areas, while stressing there is no preferential treatment for VIPs in the vaccination campaign.

That is 1.2 % of the population. See you next year.

  7. Intriguing possibility of "vaccine passport"

I wonder what's so intriguing about that. Now suppose half of a country gets vaccinated and can go everywhere they want and the rest can NOT. What good would that do to business? It's just another trick to get you submitted to a questionable jab.

And then, looking at the amount of vaccins ordered, how many and when will countries be able to get 'all' vaccinated. That means at least 'all' minus 1.....ok, and maybe the MP.
