  1. I am asking this on behalf on my Thai friend who has a 10% share in a business. His 3 cousins between them own 80%, with the other 10% to a employee.

For whatever reason the cousins have been pushing him out, despite the fact the he was the one who created the business and has made it grow to something quite succesful. The cousins were there just for the investment.

Pressuming everything was done legally which he informed me was, where does he stand with regards to the 10% share. His input wasn't cash, but the knowledge of the business and running it. It seems now that the business has taken off, they want him out.

Because of the family ties he's ins't sure what to do. I said he shouldn't let them walk all over him but he is not sure if he should chase it up.

Should he get a lawyer involved?

  2. I'm looking to get a regular game every week if possible, once or twice would be great.

Is there anyone interested in playing perhaps 1 evening or weekend, or perhaps both. It would be great if we could get at least 6 people to book 2 courts and have doubles.

I'm located in Satupradit area (Sathorn) but i don't mind travelling, just need a regular game.

If there is any person or persons interested please email me.

I'm a reasonable player but anyone wlcome.

    Thanks

  3. Hi

My GF has a Honda CR-V EXI 2.0 Year 2001 Sport, and is looking to have gas fitted. We have had two quotes, the first being 18k, and the other 30k.

Has anyone had this done for this type of vehicle, and why would the price vary so much. The garage that quoted 30k said it's the recommended one for a car of this spec. I personally think the 18k is about right as she has no intention of taking it out, she will sell it with the car when she upgrades.

Any suggestion on where to go in the area of PASIJAROEN, LAT PROA area.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. From this I understand that you can open an account with Kasikorn without a work permit. What documentation do they require?

You can open a savings account at any bank, although you might have to try a few different branches, officials before you get accepted.

    Passport and address needed.

Opened a savings account at Siam square with kasikorn, they didnt even ask for my passport even though i offered. My GF has an account so wether that had anything to do with it i'm not sure

  5. This has worked everytime for me with this particular travel agent.

The first call i made for a non stop flight, to BKK from Heathrow with Eva air was £479. I told them i'd consider and call back. I phoned again 5 minutes later a spoke do a different sales person, this time i was quoted £398 for the same flight. Again i gave no details just said i would consider, and once again called 5 mins later. On the 3rd call i was offered the same flight for £340 within the space of 15 mins. I have used this company 4 times now and done the same thing and it has worked everytime. Must be to do with commision i'm sure.

As i don't want to sound like i'm promoting this company. Here is a clue.

    Opposite of North is?

Put *** your eggs in one basket.

    So, North***travel.co.uk

    God i'm bored.

  6. I have been looking for internet TV for a while, and the ones that have been suggested have never really worked well. Channel 4 UK offer it but stupidly only in the UK. I know it's a grey area but i came across this software and site that offers a package that apparently is legal. Just curious if anyone has used it, or knows of it. Even if it does work is the connection in Thailand fast enough for it.

  7. Hi

I have a Non 0 multi which is due to expire end of June. Can i get this replaced in Thailand easliy enough, or is there anything stopping me posting my passport back to my mums, and her sending it from there to Hull. Only reason i mention this is that i have had no problems getting my visa renewed at Hull.

    Many Thanks.

  8. Hi

I normally pay around £350 for a one way non stop to Thailand, the cheapest i have had however is £299. I have tried some of the links in the forum and found them to be atleast £100 more. I don't mind paying the £350 just curious if there is anywhere else to try.

If it's ok to mention the prices quoted were from Southall Traveland Just the flight.

    Thanks

  9. Just curious if there is any call for Tennis coaching. I'm an advanced fitness instructor and Tennis coach. I have no interest in the Fitness side but want to get back into the Tennis coaching if possible. I know enough Thai to get by so communication shouldn't be a problem. I'd also prefer to coach small groups of kids, and advanced 1 on 1.

    Thanks

  10. Just let it runs it's course. Dissaster will be inevitable no matter what you tell him. By the way. His GF doesn't go by the nickname of pep, pepsi or jade. That's the nick name before anyone jumps down my throat. The story sounds very similar to a collegue, but I guess they all do.

  11. Not sure if this helps. A friend of mine had a similar situation but with a car and a small business. The car was in his ex's mothers name and the busines was in a joint name of him and his GF. They did the same thing and turned on him. He was threatened to be shot bla blah bla, but eventually went to a lawyer. The lawyer was very good and even though the car wasn't in his name, but he was paying for it by transfering funds from the UK to his ex's and her mums, the lawyer damanded proof as to how they were paying for it. In the meantime the police confiscated the car until the matter was resolve.

    The family eventually walked away.

  12. Most TV's, PLasma and LCD will work here as they tend to have various PAL modes, as well as NTSC and SECAM. I am surprised as to how low the prices are now in the UK though. The prices from what I see have gone down by nearly half in the last two years.

I used to be a dealer, and in 2001 a crappy JVC 42" cost be £4400 at Trade. Blimey!

  13. Wednesday's still seem to be a big party at Londoner's. The bar allows smoking and drinking out on the patio. The smoking patrons took the party outside when I was there. I personally stopped going to those bars for one reason....price. Tourists can pay western prices for food and drink, but locals take their money elsewhere. The price increases in tourist areas have gotten ridiculous.

I went into the Londoner for something to eat in January looked at the prices on the boards and walked straight back out again, the prices were more expensive then many pubs in England, i also hear that the foods as bad as British pub grub.

Agreed, Been in once, was also the last.

    Good Night and thank you.

  14. Hi

Just wondering if anyone is, or has experieced the same.

Last June i developed a small rash on the back of my shoulder. These were small flat red blotches a few mm's in diameter, but i felt no sensation from them. I returned to the UK in August of last year and found that when i did anything energetic i had the feeling of hundreds of insect bites on my back, which lasted for a minute or 2. I then returned to Thailand November of last year and found that the rashes had spread over 80% of my back, and a few blotches had also spread half way down my arm, as well as around my chest. Again if i did anything energetic my back would have the same feeling of insect bites. The rashes seem to come out worse in hot weather, but the treatment i have had so far hasn't worked. I don't think it is heat rash. The biting sensation also comes out when i think of anything stressful

I have tried Antihistamine's as well as various creams, one being dermovate which im told is a steroid and can be quite harmful to the skill.

    Can anyone shed any light.

    Many Thanks
