    Watching a movie (Farang movie) you are not allowed to see cleavage (breast or butt) because it is blurred out by the censor, along with the actual cigarette and the actual alcohol label. Of course you can show people being shot in the face with a 9mm gun or having their faces hacked off with a samurai sword, but hey, the kids have to be protected from dangerous stuff like underwear, right?

    well the Russians seem to consider it a "victory" to obliterate the civilian infrastructure of the neighbor it claims to want to save. Maybe the CCP will feel obliged to lay waste to Taiwan to prove its commitment to the one China policy..... They are watching the russian progress with interest.

    Fortunately I will not have to worry about this. And the "young leaders" pretend to care about sustainability as long as it gets "followers" on their smartphones (guess we are lucky that the phones are smart....)

    Actually I do believe that the CCP / PLA is quite wary of upsetting Vietnam. They remember the mess in 1979 when the Vietnamese not only refused to roll over (as the USA had already learnt), but actually gave the superior force a good kicking and therefore humiliation. some parallels here with the mighty Russian army and the "special military operation" in smaller weaker neighbor Ukraine....

    However painful it will be, the only thing which will solve the problem of a nuclear war is a real Cold War. Give the Chinese what they want - a real Cold war. (and while you are at it, suck up the pain and do it for Russia too.)
