The thing is, I'll only be in thailand 3weeks before june, a border run end of july and at the end of september I go to malaysia.
Between then and the end of january I won't spend more than 2 weeks at a time in thailand.
I've been planning to get a non o all along, but now at the last moment I'm thinking maybe I won't be needing it.
Only reason I can think of is if it means I don't have to return to UK next year to get a nonO(to visit friends)
-
Leaving UK for thailand very soon, I am in and out of thailand for 10 months +
I'll be covered by visa on arrival until June, then I could get a double entry 60 day tourist visa as I'll be in Vientiane.
Then I only need one border run, and I'm covered until mid february.
So is there any advantage in applying for a Non O visa now?

I thought Ambien/zolpidem was the new. safe, non addictive sleeping drug.
A (off duty)doctor told me Rohypnol was best

I think they will charge for withdrawals outside the EU.
Post Office say theres no charge for withdrawals abroad with their credit card btw

it's not a viper
vipers head shape is quite different
-
so I can assume that I'm NOT going to be able to get my first non O visa(visit friends) outside UK?
-
I would suggest you do as has been recommended(Hull Consulate). You have received acurate & sensible advice here.
Trust me. most of us have been there, done that.
Dave
Thanks
the only difference it makes is that I will be in and out of thailand until mid june, and I can use ordinary visas for that.
I read on here that AFTER the first non-O visa, you could get another in say penang or maybe in thailand, and I wanted to check the current legislation and requirements
-
so I couldn't get one in penang?

I am in UK now, so should I get my first nonO visa (visit friends) here now, or will it be easy for me to get one in malaya/laos/cambodia in a couple of months after I've done a bit of travelling?

Happened to me too, <2 years ago, in BB plaza.
She spoke good english, says "I'm sure I've met you before", buys me cofffee
When I was at the house, they taught me to play blackjack and win everytime, but I sussed what was happening, wouldn't play, got a lift back to the train, and found my wallet/credit cards had gone.
However the cards weren't working and little cash, so I knew she/they couldn't get much.
But I heard so many similar stories, Like they wouldn't give your bags/passport etc back until they had your money

How do I ship things to thailand from UK?
I have maybe 3or4 teachests of things I'd like with me in thailand.
How would I arrange shipping (from UK)?
Any recommendations appreciated.
How much, and how long?
Would it arrive safe and dry?
Could I pickup from some warehouse at my convenience?

long beach, for swimming and most things, but not snorkelling. not 2 weeks ago anyhow
only reason to go elsewhere is if you want to be alone

Could you obtain a person's details (address etc) from their thai bank account name and account number?
if you paid money into an account for goods or services, and you were cheated, would you ave any legal rights to reclaim the money through the bank or courts?

Should be easy...
bolt the brake arms and levers on.........hold one brake block exactly where you want it on the rim and tighten the bolt...then holding both brake blocks on the rim, tighten the cable bolt so you have just enough room to put the noodle in it's holder. Then take up any free play on the lever. OK?
If you have good sharp pliers, trim the cable

Can I rent a Fireblade or GSXR for a day or two in Pattaya?
What,s the cost? What are the conditions?
Do I leave a big deposit, or my passport?
Do you get helmets, leathers, gloves with it? If so a will they fit?
Are the tyres/ brakes going to be any good?
How far am I allowed to ride it?
If there's a crash/damage,who pays for repairs, is that going to be expensive?
Do they supply insurance, third party or otherwise?
Is there a chance to open it up anyplace?
Any good rides to do?

I'm travelling around SE Asia, mostly Airasia, I have 4 months to stay in thailand continuously.
I was going to spend longer but airasia keeps having sales...
they never asked about onward tickets.
I probably want to move to asia permanently in the future, and possibly wish to remain in thailand after january, not have to return to UK
Its a bit too complicated to put it all in the first post, I was trying to keep it simple
