I took mine to Panasonic repair centre on the 107 just before the superhighway on the right,
Initially they took a few days, then charged me less than 1000baht and it seemed to be working again.
But a week later the same problem emerged so I took it back.
Its been there about 4 weeks now, they said they'd call me, muttered something about not having the parts when I went in, said they had to send it to bangkok, and promised again that they'd call me the next week, but they never did.
So I'll be down there next week to demand my camera back immediately, and call the tourist police if theres any more problem from them

does it cost 7000bt plus 3.500 for bikes too, or just cars?

TCA (thailand cycling association) rent bikes, downhill bikes etc.very good quality like kona stinky with fox 40s are available, but they also have xc bikes.

I had a bucketful of water thrown right in my face by a farang as I was riding along a quiet soi on my motorbike yesterday. He must have been trying to knock me off the bike.He looked like he had a brain, but obviously he left it in the hotel

For my Ovisa from Hull last week I was asked for a Residence Certiicate.
To get this I have to go to the immigration office IN THAILAND, with the house paperwork, a foto and 500bt.,and fill in the forms.
You need a tourist visa OR non O visa to do this iirc

I believe that work on the dam has started, and continues.
Can anyone tell us how its progressing?
Someone else told me that you wouldnt be allowed to ride a bike on a minor road that goes through the area.
I think they want to get it built before anyone complains too much.
chinese plan to build more dams on the irawaddy.
It looks like the poorer people will have no way to carry on with their farms etc,

or if you're not in a hurry and have a mountain bike and gps you could try several routes, like this which goes halfway, and so on

better you go down to Wat Chan then Samoeng to Chiang Mai.
would be so much nicer on a pushbike.
Not sure how long it would take, but I should be able to get gps profile without too much problem.
or maybe you can find the route on google earth or gpsies.com and get all the info you need

I believe julies are an xc brake..For doi suthep offroad I'd want better.Maybe a bigger rotor would make the difference
Julies use royal blood iirc. very expensive, but maybe you can find a substitute. Like citroen lhm?
I've never known anyone to use those forks, but I'm not up on xc. Fox anyday.

Is this normal for a thursday lunchtime?
Loads of songthaew in the carpark between nimmanhemin soi6 and canal road

I dont know why malays stand for such nonsense
It looks more and more like they can only marry and have sex with someone chosen for them by their parents etc, not anyone they are in love with
-
theres a lot of noise from concerts every night near Soi6,till midnight or later, from a carpark by the canal road.
otherwise I'd be asleep by now.
Can you tell me more about the Nimmanhemin Community Group?

I have a few pieces of protective gear that need repairing.
I need zips, velcro and some holes mended. Also need some stretchy nylon straps added/altered
The material is bio-foam, plastic, mesh, stretch webbing, etc
Do you know anywhere that can do a good job, and will have the right materials and strong thread?

Anything resembling Dendroaspis viridis "green mamba" around here?
I have seen some specie very close to the african one, short "fat" body, striking green, underbelly from green top to yellowish, white.
diamond shaped head and clearly distinct though a much thinner "neck" portion from the body....locals response was: "like cobra!"
sounds like Waglers Pit Viper
