  1. Thaksin nearly arrested

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra narrowly escaped arrest in Kuala Lumpur, slipping out of his hotel ahead of police and flying to the Pacific island country of Fiji, Deputy Interior Minister Thaworn Sennian said in Pattani province on Monday.

Mr Thaworn said the Malaysian government had cooperated with Thailand in planning to arrest the fugitive former prime minister on learning of he was staying at the Shangri-la Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

But Thaksin was vigilant enough to escape arrest and caught a plane to Fiji.

    :) Mr. Thaksin.

  2. Burin Kantabura doesn't always get it right but he hit bulls eyes in the past week. His letters to the local papers said it far, far better than I ever could:

"If the pressure works and a petition is granted, Thaksin Shinawatra and the reds win. If it fails, the petitioners stand a good chance of feeling less affection for the monarchy and more sympathy for Thaksin: once again the fugitive former PM and his red-shirted supporters win"

And regarding Red-shirt co-leader Veera's refusing PM Abhist's invite to share time on the PM's talk show:

"Red shirt leader Veera Musikhapong refuses to meet PM Abhisit face-to-face on live TV. Surely, if Mr Veera believed in ''true democracy'', as claimed, he'd grab at the chance to show PM Abhisit to be incompetent, having double standards, etc"

    And finally:

"PM Abhisit was chosen by the same set of MPs that chose two prior governments and by the same constitutional procedures. If the current government is illegitimate, why didn't the red shirts march against, say, PM Samak? As things stand, it seems to me that Mr Veera fears any truths that might be revealed in a face-to-face debate, and prefers to speak where those being attacked have no easy way of rebuttal"

Face to face meeting not gonna happen, not the kind of person for that, nor to lead the redshirts.

  3. NO BRAINER, dude, SPend spend, new houses, news cars, new housing, you name it if our Thai Ladies want it and we can afford it, we spend the money, now on upscale side look at what the likes of Lotus, Carrefour, Global house, McDonald, etc, put in to the Thai enconomy, mainly with jobs, which mean money the their pocket SPEND SPEND BABY :):D:D:D:D

That's the key! Just live in a shitbox, and have $ Bilions on the bank!! :D

  4. Anyone know where he actually is now?

Unfortunately that information is on a 'need to know' basis only.

In case of emergency, please contact any Puea Thai MP/Red leaders, immediate family (or vested cronies) Kwanchai, or if all else fails, Jonathan Head (wherever)

Did you ever think about his wife :) ?

  5. Have you already figured out which decade all this gonna happen?

Soon as I touch down in Thailand, the party is within a few weeks :D

I think you avoid the question, which decade your touch down gonna be.Come on straight answer cos I have to make a planning.

    :) I assume within 2 months.

  6. Hello and welcome to TV at first! :)

My only advice for you is: Let her come to Finland, don't go to Thailand.

The reason for that is: social security and work is much easier in Finland, so is that it is an modernized country.

It's good to hear your Thai girl took her own effort to get there!

  7. Hoi, a Dutch man who speaks Thai fluently recommended me books written by...M...( a Dutch writer) I forgot, but I will ask again.

He first learned Thai with books from an English writer/educator, but he said that pronunciation with an English tongue is different than with a Dutch tongue.

About the tongue can be true yeah :) Thnx! Would be nice, I can then order the book.

  8. While I am here, I notice that in Malaysia and Indonesia, on the Honda Waves, etc, folks put really big tyres on their back wheels. In Thailand, your average racer boy on his Fino tries to put the smallest tyres he can buy on his bike. Might as well buy a bicycle! Now on a 1000cc bike they have huge tyres on the back, for a very good reason! Are these guys so dumb to not realise that they have better safety/traction/more weight carrying ability on a large tyre than a small one? Does fashion and styling take presedence over safety and performance? Am I missing something?

You aint missing something,,,i bought my honda a year ago and the guy also had this small bycicle tires...after about 50 tubes i was bored and get this ones last week...its like a brand new ride...it wasnt so cheap, about 5000 baht for the 2 wheels,2 tires,1 tube(rear tire is tubeless) and the new front disc brake...but now i enjoy this ride so much and i should have done it a long time ago!post-83617-1246807421_thumb.jpgpost-83617-1246807572_thumb.jpg
