If they are going to do it, I wish they would do it so their landing spot is away from any other people.
A very dangerous scenario.
-
And then it will be decimated when the restrictions cease.

Elephant shows like them performing tricks and playing football or whatever are just as inane,
I assume they have those in Thailand?
They even have them in China now.
-
they could start with practicing the religion
Is Thai Buddhism a religion or a teaching?
Yes please, reform it post haste! I am sick of seeing monks smoking cigarettes, driving pick-ups or riding 3 wheelers....and I have heard there are some who drink alcohol and fraternize with woman.
Totally disgusting behavior!
And eating meat or wearing 2nd hand animal skins.

I would be interested in knowing what constitutes a serious crime for judges in Thailand?
Of course any sane person would say this one was. But, what about the Hi-So's that mow down people at bus stops?
That and similar crimes were not serious?
Or what most of us believe, if you're connected........
The man in this case was obviously not connected.

If the police were to abide by the letter of the law, there would be constant fines and standstills on roads what with the countless violations by drivers.

Nouveau riche Brits, Americans, Russians.....from anywhere really, are loud, boorish, unsophisticated, and rude. It's not just the Chinese.
But that's not a defense of them defecating on the floor or countless other examples of their rudeness.
I hope the "Queuing is cool" message gets through! I did a border run on the 19th (New years day) and trying to get back into Thailand with the hordes of Chinese and Malay tourists was a nightmare. They literally stampeded the rope barriers down and it was a free-for-all to get to any Immigration window. I ended up putting my manners aside and joined the fray. If I hadn't, I'd still be in Malaysia.
I agree with this.
Whilst the behaviour of the Chinese tourists in the video is far from pleasant, I'm sure someone could just as easily make similar videos on the behaviour of British, German, American, Russian, Israeli, Swedish, Dutch or any other nationalities which visit Thailand in large numbers.
True.
Has anyone read "The Ugly Chinaman" by Bo Yang?
There was also "The Ugly American" and others I think?

Cigarette filters are polluting the oceans now and some creatures are suffering from it.
So, smokers should discard their toxic waste correctly.
Of course it's a scam when locals seem immune.
Do these rent a cops give receipts when they 'fine'?
Has anyone filmed them when they try to fine them I wonder?

If someone was to give you $10,000 US to talk to a woman in the street you would do it. So there is no excuse really.

The war on drugs has been a complete failure.
Not for those groups making money from it, including government bodies and companies that actually rely on it to exist.

I've always wondered what the percentage is of Buddhist monks or even 'Buddhists' in Thailand that eat meat?

The last 'Swede' I talked to in Bangkok was a dodgy Iranian with a Swedish passport. Been there over 20 years and spoke zero Swedish.
Well being in Thailand he will be right at home with some expats being unable to speak a word of Thai.

I'm surprised some TV members haven't blamed ladyboys for this.

One things for sure if they released and looked after in a conservationists way the well being of these tigers into a national park, then I'd pay extra to visit the park. In a jeep with armed park rangers for security, of course.
The tigers have lived their entire lives in cages being fed dead chickens. If released into the wild or a semi wild situation they would quickly die of starvation but before that they would likely take out the closest tourists
Can't they be slowly rehabilitated into the wild? I seem to remember reading it happening to captive lions years ago somewhere.

Live and let live BUT it is a FACT that many (not all) ladyboys, or whatever you want to call them, are aggressive and nasty. I hate walking past a group of them and have seen them go 'bazzerk' on many occasions and they can be really spiteful.
I avoid them at all costs for these reasons not because I am biased against them. BTW Tom's can be just the same - jealous and spiteful nutcases. They can call them what they want but they are chicks with d***s at the end of the day and they can't change their chromosomes even if they get the chop.
Not only can they not change their chromosomes they still produce hormones - not estrogen which probably accounts for the aggressiveness when in a pack? My missus will never employ one because at some stage, it will go wrong with it.
Or maybe she is scared you will be 'converted'.
Every time I have been in a 'pack' recently, there was no aggression. So, you are saying all people with 'male hormones' will be aggressive if in a 'pack'?
A pack of thieving reprobatess will become aggressive in the right circumstances... Football crowds ring any bells with you? Have you ever watched a session in the house of commons? But to qualify your question, no I was saying all people with male hormones will be aggressive in a pack but I am saying it's more likely than when they're on their own. As for my missus being worried I will be converted? Well, actually I thank ladyboys and people like you as it leaves more real women for real us men. I would have to say that unlike you, I haven't been in a pack of gays before except maybe one time when a friend of mine asked me and my mate Becca to go with her to a pub quiz in a gay pub in Bournemouth. They were pretty aggressive towards us even asking our friend why she brought "breeders" into their pub! Enjoy your life on your bar stool mush.
Thanks for clarifying you're a 'real man' and assuming you know what my sexual preference is.
My sexual preference is 'often'.

Elephants, performing or otherwise are part of Thailand. I used to love to see them in the streets often being used by amulet vendors or sometime with a crazed drunk farang on the back .....then the sentimental do-gooders and NGO types came along and ruined it all-imposing their western views on the Thais.
I hope you are trolling.
If not I guess you think foot binding should also still be carried out in traditional Thai Chinese circles too.

So what happened to the suspect from the CCTV footage from Nana?

How does anyone buys a knife in Thailand. Do we need to apply for a knife license?
Just go to lower Suk and you'll see for sale Rambo knives, tasers, knuckle dusters and a whole host of things designed to take out anything with a pulse.

A few years ago the Indian authorities banned all tourist contact with tigers in national parks.
That is the way forward.

I see a news report this morning on Thai television. Didn't see any handling of tigers, looked like they were after the birds.

My worst experience when I took cabs from the airport (don't do it now) was when the taxi had NO AC. And I got stuck in a traffic jam for 20 minutes. I couldn't do anything with some bags in the boot/hood.
Adding 50baht to the fee will change nothing much.

So the other 19 have "connections" in the right places?

Police have yet to determine the cause of death for Annesley, who was discovered dead in her bungalow on 21 January. Police did not publicly confirm her death to the press until 23 January, and were quick to stress that Annesley "was not murdered."

Actually, not everyone that kills themselves "commit suicide".
A close relative hung himself a few years ago.
The coroner did not rule it as suicide. He said, the side effects from the prescription medication he was taking were what caused it.
