  1. It takes a special kind of idiot to be so idiotic as to stand out for idiocy amongst the current bunch of idiots running the show.

Maybe NACC should be looking into Mr Panthep Klanarongranthe own financial situation like, unusual wealth, or any land transfers etc. People who throw stones.

What a ridiculous request to make from a man in his position. 600 billion compensation, what a dip stick.

  2. They are not worth 2 bob over here. They are not welded correctly and they never use bolts the right size to hold the bar on to the chasse or use spring loaded washers to suit.

9 times out of 10, in an a small collision with what ever, they will fold back and damage your bonnet, grill and surrounding chrome bits and pieces.

In a fairly hard prang/accident, because these bars are not manufactured to the vehicle specifications, they do not allow the air bags to deploy in the accident.

This also voids your warranty and in some cases voids your insurance.

  3. hmm yes but you cant just sweep it under the carpet there and forget it, you also have to look at what it is about australian society that produces these type of people in such numbers. until you start addressing that issue it will just be an ever ongoing event. hmm but dont hold your breath on that one.wai.gif

Well it's not hard to work out, it's called quick money and lots of it if you can get away with it. However these people were caught and knowing what the penalties in that country were, took the risk and now have to pay the penalty. let this be a warning to others looking for the quick dollar. 4. This pair have a different history to the normal tourist caught smuggling drugs to another country. They were the organisers and convinced 7 other gullible teenagers to strap heroin around their bodies to become rich. The other 7 are still serving time - why is no one trying to free them who were just stupid, not cold, calculating and manipulative criminals.

And the King Pin who organised the Bali 9, won 5 million in the NSW Lottery. After he won he gave up the drug trade and went straight. he is known to NSW Police but they have nothing on him.

Queensland barrister Sam Di Carlo represented one of the Australians arrested as part of the Bali six — another group of drug smugglers linked to Myuran Sukumaran— busted in Australia around the same time the Bali Nine were detained in April 2005.

  5. Typical Aussie attitude; if we can't win, we'll take our ball home with us. These people are drug smugglers and would have known the law in Indo, so tough titties I'm afraid. Does Indonesia ever speak up about the way Australia runs its affairs?

They weren't happy with the live cattle fiasco, nor with the alleged attempt by the spooks in Canberra to monitor SBYs phone conversations. They've also never been terrifically keen on Australia's role in the ill-fated war on terror or the blatant grab for Timor's gas reserves post independence. The ABC claims that the relationship is actually better than what's portrayed in the mainstream media courtesy of 'back channels' - presumably business relationships and the ongoing aid programs in Indonesia.

Well here is a bit more for them to whinge about.

American warships could be stationed permanently in Darwin as part of the United States military's strategic plan in the region, but an expert warns that will not sit well with China.

Indonesia has also expressed their concern.

Time to start sending these people home why risk Australian citizens for the pc crowd .

You will probably find that they are already Australian citizens, & therefore cannot be deported.

Citizenship can be revoked from persons who have made a threat to Australian citizens. These two are from overseas and if they gained citizenship it should be taken from them and both of them sent to their two respective countries. And jailed in their own country if applicable.

The pair have apparently lived in Australia for several years, and that Omar is from Kuwait, while Mohammad is believed to be from Iraq. See link below for all details.

  7. Abbott as the Prime Minister and Julie Bishop as the Foreign Minister amongst other Politicians, politically have to be seen to be appealing as they have done, knowing the writing was on the wall for these two.

They were originally sentenced to death 10 yrs ago, it was only stopped because the then President stopped the death penalty while he was President.

The newly elected President, said as one of his election promises, was to reinstate the death penalty and he has done so keeping his promise to the people.

The families of both of these drug runners are making a last ditch appeal to the President and their solicitor is making one last go at their legal system.

The mother of one of two Australians on death row in Bali has made a passionate plea for her son's life in the countdown to his execution.

  8. . With today's politicians, the majority only care about their hold on power and survival, they certainly don't care about the average Australian. So yes, fully agree, very weak people because I wouldn't call them men.

Well we call many politicians 'women' these days.

I know Little Tony doesn't like women in his cabinet, but there are more and more surfacing in the elected arena in the last 20 years

A storm in a teacup created by the media trying to get a bite, which they have. A bite from each other, no real answers from the politicians re the boil over. Tony Abbott will be there next week and it will be business as usual.

  9. American foreign policy is mired in scandal, but Christ almighty cosying up to China? With their oppressive regime?

Foreigners here actually support this Junta? Will you guys remain in Thailand if it becomes a complete police state like China?

If that ever happened the Thai's would be leaving as quick as we would.

Well they are Asians dealing with Asians and China really need that rail line for the future movements.

  10. Cant see what the problem is doing a 90 day report, I have been doing them for 10 yrs with no complications.

I believe you can also report up to 7 days before and after the reporting date, may be wrong.

Why make waves, get up off your ar*e and just do it, instead of winging about something as minor as reporting that you are still at the same address, as this is what it is for.

  11. Current exchange at the Bangkok Bank.

Au$1.00 to Baht 24.49 sad.png this is not good for a lot of guys living there or having money transferred to Thailand,w00t.gif then put on top the transfer fee. crying.gif

RBA today dropped interest rates, expect further slide, hopefully i am wrong, but looks like we are set to 22 baht to a dollar as 8 or so years ago sad.png

I would have to agree with you, especially seeing now that Westpac cut their rate more than the RBA.

The country's two biggest banks have cut interest rates for home loan customers, with the Commonwealth Bank matching the Reserve Bank's reduction and Westpac giving customers a slightly bigger rate cut.

  12. Bearing in mind this guy was in the Police Force before he started driving Taxis and ripping off people. I suppose this may be one of those inactive posts they talk about. His Taxi licence should have been taken from him and a heavy fine given. If it was his taxi it should have been taken from him, if he was working for someone they should sack him for losing the Airport run. Police probably own the Taxi.

  13. I am a Royal Orchid Plus member of Thai Airways, but have not flown with them for some 4 years since their prices went up, their travel miles dropped back to 3 months or pay extra for a year travel miles, their food and service went down and the plane itself was not cleaned, bloody disgusting and I told them so as well.

I then started flying Emirates and Qantas over the last 4 yrs and went with the cheapest direct flight from Sydney to Suvarnabhumi return. Pay a bit more for the direct flights and I also have to book at set dates, which sometimes is not the cheapest. But the food, drinks, service, entertainment and baggage allowance is worth the bit extra. Honestly, have never had a drama with either.

Then it happened, I then saw a cheap flight with Air Asia Syd to Bangkok via KL. The plane was really not very clean, it had no entertainment, if you wanted entertainment; you got a small screen and plugged it in all for a price, meals for a price, drinks and even a blanket for a price, baggage for a price, and it went on. In the end it would have worked out about the same price as Qanta. And if you don’t know what the current going rate is for Ringgit they get to you on the conversion. Then you swap planes at KL and hang around for a couple of hours. After boarding for the rest of the journey, they must have moved the seats closer to fit more passengers in as I am 6’1” and the guy beside me was 6’4” I had trouble getting in and stretching my legs under the seat in front to stop cramping, he had hid no chance and had his legs out in the passage. Could not wait to land in Bangkok. As I had already booked return flight with them had the same problem on the return journey, with the problem of almost missing the connecting flight because of a hold up at customs and just made the flight.

So all in all, I will now be travelling with Qantas or Emirates once again will have to pay the extra but will be more comfortable. Unless someone on TVF has a better idea, let me know.

  15. Syrians now having a go at Israel, hate to see what happens if Israel gets backed into a corner, bearing in mind they have a few big bombs on board.

Jerusalem (AFP) - Israeli warplanes struck Syrian army targets on the Golan Heights early Wednesday hours after rockets hit the Israeli-held sector, in what the Jewish state said was "a clear message" to Damascus.
