AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY THAILAND AND CONSULATE GENERAL PHUKET
FROM 7 JANUARY 2019
Will NOT be witnessing statutory declarations which declare income or bank balances for Thai Immigration purposes.
I will attach a copy below.
However if you have to get a Stat Dec for income purposes, I would suggest you do so prior to 7th January 2019.
I say this as I was informed and have paperwork from the Pattaya City Expats Club, that once the Stat Dec is signed it is good for 6 months from the date it is signed and stamped at the OZ Embassy or Consulate.
I will attach a copy of the Pattaya City Expats Club letter and 2 further attachments of the letter from the Bangkok Immigration to confirm the 6 months.
Hope this is a help I will post some more re other info I got today a bit later

Australian Immigration have now computer linked Australia wide with Centrelink and Dep't of Veteran Affairs )(DVA)
Any time you go overseas and return Immigration notify all parties of your movements and the date you left and returned to Aust.
You still have to notify them on line or by phone of your departure and return date and where you are heading to.
I found out today that they knew I had returned to Australia (Informed by Centrelink Officer) but I still had to ring DVA and Centrelink to have my and my wife's allowances reinstated as of the 1st Sept when I got back.
Had I not of rang them, they would not have kept the allowances current and no further payments would have been made.
For your info

Not all accidents are reported.
You can bet there will be a lot in hospital, who die from their injuries received in accidents that wont be reported.
Thousands will have severe injuries and limbs amputated, to mention a few.
However this happens every year with the same result, it's like

Crikey, I bet the local mayor is glad he never said,” there is a lot of stuff being prepared for Pattaya tonight”.
Because this is what Mr Red is accused of.
The suspect had posted on Facebook that "a lot of stuff is being prepared for Surat Thani tonight".

Range of shopping malls, markets, extensive range of Foreign products in a number of supermarkets.
Close proximity to BKK and the airport with choice of travel links. U Tpao airport also serves Samui, Phuket etc.
Baht bus transport for central Pattaya which is cheap and convenient.
Good selection of both rented and for sale accommodation at affordable prices.
Restaurants galore.
Selection od schools.
Selection of hospitols.
Attractions such as water parks.
The list is endless.........Why NOT live in Pattaya?
Completely agree. Of course, Pattaya IS the world's best known adult playground in FEW LIMITED areas of the city. But as you said, it has all above and
- plenty of golf courses all around
- plenty of quiet moo baans all around from Naklua to East Pattaya / darkside to Jomtien and even further
- plenty of nice quiet places (at least during the week) from Bank Saen to Rayong
- plenty of music bars for the evening (even on walking street)
- art places / parks / zoos etc.
and lot more that I enjoy and am looking forward to start to explore even further in few months when I finally arrive for living in Pattaya. So far, I have always found all that I "need" for living, it is just a matter of looking around and NOT only hang around the playground sites...
yep, and let's not forget that Pattaya is on the sea!
This means beaches, boats, fishing and often also a nice breeze that cools Pattaya down by about 3 to 4 degrees compared to Bangkok.
In the night I sometimes plant my mini BBK on Jomtien beach and grill some sausages, chicken wings and steaks to eat with potato salad, cold beers in the ice cooler.
Ease of commute to the airport is a big plus too.
Apart from all the other things mentioned above, it is cheaper to live here compared to Phuket and Hua Hin. It is more central to all other destinations, a bit over an hour to the airport, 30minutes longer to Bangkok and about 5 hrs to the second biggest Island in Thailand Koh Chang and the many that surround it, not to forget the many places on the way to the Island. Plus a lot of our friends from all over the world meet us here when they holiday.

Probably mentally unstable and potentially very dangerous especially confronting a lady, physically, smaller than himself ( lets look at in a way of being a bully).
Good on you PG.
I would not go provoking him unless you are sure you can physically handle him - its not your job.
If he is already unstable, it's fools like him that are likely to come out with a gun and fire it.

That's right tax the poor Thai people that don't mind a smoke and a drink.
But the wealthy can have their land tax % halved and the credit union wealthy that just defrauded the people of 12 Billion and the poor that own house and land have to pay another tax. What a crock.

Dear lottery-vendors.
Maybe it is time to get a real job??
Most of the vendors are able bodied people between 25 and 45!!
I was under the impression that it was illegal to gamble in Thailand and I am pretty sure a lottery is a form of gambling. I know I'm just

More than 200 bikies, drug traffickers and sex offenders have had their visas cancelled in the past three months and have started being deported from Australia
Excuse my ignorance, but these are common criminals, quite rightly being deported for their crimes.
As the topic refers specifically to counter-terrorism, perhaps someone could be good enough to post a link to the number of passports revoked under the heading of the topic ?
The report is underlining the current government announcement of stricter implementation of visa laws, proposed tougher citizenship requirements etc.
I believe around 70+ plus Oz citizens have had their passports revoked to stop them travelling to conflict areas in M.E. New laws are being formulated to revoke the passports of dual citizens / suspend Australian citizenship for those who are identified as belonging to terrorist groups.
Australian authorities have cancelled 100 passports belonging to fighters in Syria and Iraq since 2010. But this does not deprive them of the right to return to Australia if they are citizens.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-31579804
Currently it is contrary to law to cancel citizenship if the outcome makes a person stateless.
But when they return and have been proved to have been fighting, which is against the law. They will go to Prison and good riddance.

You have quite clearly been knocked back on two counts as stated, and remember when re applying they will have all these documents on file, so don't try and pull the wool over their eyes.
I note that you recently met Mr John smith in person in Dec 2015, which recently
met. Based on available information, while I considered that the nature of relationship
is friend only also the duration of relationship is short then the claimed of support is
outweighed.Regarding no strong evidence to demonstrate strong tie in Thailand and the course just
recently enrolled, not yet commence, as such I am not satisfied you would have sufficient
incentive to leave Australia at the end of your authorised stay or to abide by conditions of
your visa. These two main points above are the ones you will mainly have to cover, if you are re applying.

Australian Immigration now getting tough and about time.
More than 200 bikies, drug traffickers and sex offenders have had their visas cancelled in the past three months and have started being deported from Australia.
Also any Australians fighting overseas for IS that have duel nationalities, will now have their Australian Citizenship cancelled and they will be deported.
Bad luck if you came over with mum and dad from Afghanistan of the like. The Prime Minister today said that anyone who became Australian citizens and who swore allegiance to Australia, must abide by it's laws and what they agreed to at the swearing in ceremony.
Swearing in as an Australian Citizen should not be taken for granted.

Abbott as the Prime Minister and Julie Bishop as the Foreign Minister amongst other Politicians, politically have to be seen to be appealing as they have done, knowing the writing was on the wall for these two.
They were originally sentenced to death 10 yrs ago, it was only stopped because the then President stopped the death penalty while he was President.
The newly elected President, said as one of his election promises, was to reinstate the death penalty and he has done so keeping his promise to the people.
The families of both of these drug runners are making a last ditch appeal to the President and their solicitor is making one last go at their legal system.
The mother of one of two Australians on death row in Bali has made a passionate plea for her son's life in the countdown to his execution.
The last legal hope of the Bali nine ringleaders has failed.

Ride on board the all new YZF-R1 with our Yamaha test rider around the Sportsland Sugo road race course in Japan. Take note of the YZR-M1 based control technology package, the most complete ever seen on a production motorcycle, working in synergy to assist the rider in achieving a faster laptime. The new machine look and sound amazing so don't forget to crank up your speakers and enjoy the ride.

So they are still building condos they cant sell, the Thais that bought a second one to invest in want to now sell as they cant rent them out, the Russians are no longer buying and the ones that did buy and were paying off, can no longer afford to make the payments, so they are all coming back on the market. All the other people that did buy for an investment and were guaranteed a return for rent, now find they cant get any one to rent the place. All overseas cash is crashing due to their economies, which in turn stops them from visiting and purchasing. A lot of Xpats are returning back to their country's of origin as they cant afford to have cash transferred and converted any more, their cost of living has gone up to the cash conversion they now get. A lot of Thais that bought during and after the floods in Bangkok, are the only ones that enjoy Pattaya away from Bangkok, as can be now seen by the traffic jams on Friday coming into Pattaya and Sunday leaving for Bangkok, what a mess.
If you have the cash and want to buy a good condo with great views, wait a bit longer and you can have your pick. The bubble has just about burst.
