Concrete sample would/ should have been taken at the point of pour first a slump test is taken then test cube;s are taken for 7 day and 28 day compression test this is to measure the compression strenght of the Concrete usually refer to in MPA the longer concret cures the stronger it gets concrete after it is cured, the strenght can be measured with a instrument called a glegg hammer There are time constraints in a pour normally a slab should be poured in one go if this does not happen you can get what they call a cold join if the concrete fails for any reason the above poster is correct out come the jack hammers -

somebody say SAFETY there is no safety in Thailand !! They are using volunteers engineers to inspect damage building but they dont tell you that they call handymen engineers in thailand building inspection should be by a fully qualified structure engineer and not a first year student neither, -

it may have been known longer than that !! but there was no mechanism to mandate it, untill it was incoparated into the building code which was2021 which is to days standard and the design of the building should have been quake proof which it was not the design is not recommended for quake proof -

The natural disaster also killed 49 people and injured 28 others It was also considered the severest flooding in almost 100 years among 200 households in Chiang Rai’s Mae Sai district, where floodwater caused residences to be inundated and covered in mud, resulting in damage of around 4 billion baht. -
