That takes a steady hand and a lot of learning and skill.

It doesn't take that long. I cut myself the first few times due to applying too much pressure and now I cut myself every once in a while.

  2. Why don't you get a straight razor? Better and cleaner shave. I use the Tondeo Sifter Classic. It uses exchangeable razorblades so you won't have to get the blade sharpened, although that would be the best. But it's an act. Also, any straight razor has a learning curve and you will cut yourself from time to time. Par for the course. It gets a lot better fairly quickly, though. The key is to apply very little pressure! The shave is second to none in my opinion.

The regular old school shaver that Iron Tongue has posted a picture of definitely doesn't swivel. My grandfather used to have one of those.

Too right. Almost every nice wooden object that we've bought in Thailand over the years has ended up as a pile of dust before being discarded. There are rarely any obvious clues externally but eventually, a pile of dust begins to accumulate under the object. Get it treated, it's a must do.

It's easy enough, though, to get rid of the woodworms. You can either buy a specific pesticide and inject it into the holes or you could use silicon spray. That will kill them, too, or you can take it to a place that takes care of moldy car interiors. They use a gas, I forget which one, to fumigate the car, which will kill them. And I'm sure there's the one or the other household item that could be used to fill an airtight bag that will get rid of them.

They do everything small in Japan except the prices.  A sack of rice is 100 baht.  So why is 4 cubes of sushi 60 baht?

Why would you eat wasabi with white meat?  We all know wasabi is Colman's Mustard.  And we eat that with red meat, onions and a rich gravy sauce.  The wasabi over powers the delicate fish.

So that's it?  They have two sauces, soy sauce and wasabi?  Why is the sushi scene so stuck up and pretentious.  It's just student food.

How about you?  Do you eat sushi often?

That's like saying why do the Italians put cheese on their pizza. Sushi is what it is and has been for centuries, apart from what was added by the Americans, like the California roll, and they eat it the way they want. If you don't like sushi then don't eat it. If you put small amounts of Wasabi on your sushi then it won't overpower anything, but complement the taste. Also, sushi is usually prepared by people who learned the trait and that takes years. Prices of fish has gone up, too. A big tuna for example sells for way over a million bucks and everyone wants to earn a crust.

  5. I used KPS Shipping International for shipping my belongings when I moved back to Germany. They came and picked up everything and then made two shipping boxes. The volume was 3.6 cubic meters and I paid 500 Euros for the shipping to Germany. The company is based in Bangkok, though, and I moved in 2014.

Make sure to get the wood fumigated before shipping and get a receipt for it so you can prove it, otherwise you might have trouble getting it imported due to potential pests in wood.

This and other aggressive breeds of dogs should be banned. Tine for things to change, and the police to go shot off all the killing machines. Owned or not owned, they shall all have a shot i the head.

You clearly know nothing about the breed then!

When dog fights were still legal they used to let them fight in pits, hence the name pit bull. In with them in the pit used to be at least one referee who had to touch and sometimes lift one of the dogs to see which one had the upper hand. Any dog that attacked a referee received an immediate lifetime ban. Since they weren't allowed to fight and therefore couldn't make the owner money anymore, those dogs were usually shot and most definitely not used to breed. And that's precisely why these breeds, if you buy them from a responsible breeder, are usually extremely good with people and kids. Take the Staffordshire Terrier for example. That breed has consistently been amongst the most favorite family pet dog breeds in the UK for literally decades because this breed was usually kept by working class families, who needed a dog that would eradicate rats and watch the kids.

If one of these breeds attacks people then it is ALWAYS the fault of the keeper because they didn't socialize and raise the dog properly!

They were doing what they were doing before October 7 before Hamas existed. No reason to believe they would stop the oppression and land theft if Hamas disappears.

Ok, don't you want to or are you incapable of understanding it?

I don't know how to say it any clearer!

If Hamas stops the terrorist attacks then Israel won't be allowed to continue what they're doing right now because there won't be any justifiable reason to do so, therefore the global support will shift in favor of the Palestinians and a two state solution, whether Israel likes it or not!

If you can't understand that then please stop replying to me because there's nothing else to say apart from let's agree to disagree!

I don't know why you think that if Hamas didn't exist Israel would be nice to Palestinians. Hamas came to be BECAUSE of israeli oppression.

Had not Hamas existed a different organisation would have instead.

It's in human nature to resist oppression. If israel hadn't oppressed Palestinians and allowed a two state solution way back they might have peace now, but we'll never know now.

Hamas and the attacks they commit on Israel is the one and only reason that justifies Israel's actions against Gaza. Once that element is missing Israel couldn't keep doing what it's doing.

No serious person that knows about the reality in the West Bank considers the 2 state solution as viable. To make it happen israel has to vacate the West Bank settlements. Do you think that will ever happen?

I don't know what Hamas wants overall, as rhetoric is not usually reality, but I do know that they want revenge on israel for israeli crimes against Palestinians over many decades of oppression. How could they not?

This is precisely the reason why Israel provokes them all the time, they know they’ll bite. So, if Hamas would dissolve and there would be no more terrorist attacks then they would do get the global support and then Israel would have to give in and settle for two states eventually!

The world ignored Gaza before and turned a blind eye to israel's oppression, but nobody's ignoring it anymore. The israeli crimes are being exposed and much of the world is already opposed to israel now. By the time this is over most of the world will be opposed to israel, IMO.

Whatever happens from now on, no one can say they don't know that israel commits crimes against humanity.

I truly hope so! Having said that, as long as the Palestinians run after every ball, they’ll play right into the hands of Israel, and as long as that happens they will not get the two state solution that they want. I’m not even sure if Hamas actually wants two states. I think their goal is to eradicate Israel.

Thirty years of oppression hasn't produced any results positive for Palestinians, and the rest of the world has ignored them.

The rest of the world isn't ignoring them now. Perhaps Hamas thought sacrificing some Palestinians was better than living under occupation for ever. However, I suppose they thought the response would be like every time before, and didn't expect the wholesale destruction of Gaza and the indiscriminate bombing killing so many. By the time they realised, it was too late.

Nope! They knew exactly what they were doing and that Israel was gonna retaliate hardcore, like they always do. Yeah, the world feels bad for the Palestinians, but they still condemn Hamas. They’re not gonna get what they want by continuous use of terroristic means.

  12. Love it! Now stop financially supporting them, too, and let's see how far they're gonna get then. They love to play the victim, but they've become the oppressor a long time ago and they are equally as much to blame for what's going on there as Hamas.

Having said that, as long as Hamas resorts to terrorist means they'll never get global support amd I'll never understand how they can feed their own people to the wolves like that!

Yes, many of us know that but as I've already pointed out, pain does not always manifest at the site of the trauma. I suffered a similar accident to the one the O/P had and I also had pain in the bicep, still do sometimes. It's called 'referred pain'.

If you had read the whole thread instead of trying to a smart alex, you'd know about that.

Did it ever occur to you that not everyone has the time to read the entire thread of an article? People read the main article and then scroll down to comment!

If you had thought it through before replying to me instead of trying to a smart Alex, whatever the hell that means, you'd know that.

@simon43 At a guess, I suspect you injured a ligament, that simply never healed correctly, after repeated agitation/injury.   Most do heal themselves over time, if allowed, others simply do not, as the tear is too much to heal by itself.   Since intense pain when extended when behind your back would indicate that.

Less chance it's a tendon, as they do heal better than ligament, and don't require surgery as much.

    Disclaimer:  I am NOT a

There are no ligaments in the middle of the biceps.
