Same old same old. 15 years in Thai schools.
Attitudes didn't change. Money is the main goal with the private schools. Shut down the useless private schools instead of putting all the under achieving students in them, then the overall standards will improve.

Kids learning to use the road correctly in the 1940's in the UK. I remember taking my cycling proficiency test at school in the 1970's. Why on earth can't Thailand do the same in schools? I've never seen anything like it. Very sad.

I can believe it. In 2015 I spent 3 days being dosed up with antibiotics at Wippawadee hospital 100,000 baht! Went to Sirirat hospital 3500 for 7 days of antibiotics and a doctor who's English I could understand.
I will never go to a private hospital again.
They ate a business first hospital second. Disgusted.

In 1995 I got True then called UBC fitted in my little apt in banglupoo. Wonderful hbo , BBC etc. But in 20 year they haven't improved the TV service. That's the problem

I had true visions gold package 1650 b a month a few years ago for 3.5 years. Part of the bill was 155 for service charge . I asked what it was for and was told it was rental for the box .
 One day the box stopped working so i called them and was told somebody would come to fix it . Had a call from the true visons office in udon thani about 20kms from me and was told i would have to pay 600baht to repair? A new box about 600baht
 I said why would i want to pay for repair to a box that does not belong to me ?Just give me a new one or i will bring it in for repair next time i come to the city . Answer no so i refused .
I had no tv and then a few weeks later a true visions truck turned up to take it all away and take it they did and came all the way back the next day for the remote? I was paying nearly 20,000 baht a year and they took a box that did not work and a dish that had been on my house for 3 half years .I was astounded at their stupidity . I emailed all the top guys in TVisions and complained and got 1 call from a guy in bkk saying i could get 3 months free not to cancel ? To late no box or dish.
 I now have internet streamer thaiexpat.tv for some reason never mentioned on her . I paid about 10,000 baht for 2 years , get all the free tv from uk and a few more like cnn and australia network . Can watch back for 10 days , excellent picture as they have servers in thailand only downside is very little sport on uk free tv
 ps they then took my deposit for the month the box did not work and i had no tv!

I'm really quite happy with TRUE. My broadband works. It only costs 600 or so for 13mb + my phone around 150 if I don't use it too much
My data package on my phone is sufficient too.
I stopped true visions and now have an android TV box on my 20 year old JVC TV and I use Thaiexpat.co excellent at 6000 a year for 16 UK channels with 10 day catchup.

It was happening 20 years ago and will be happening on another 20 years.
Countries like the UK introduce laws and in the end they are followed. Thailand never. Don't forget the meaning of Thailand. 'Freedom' That and the live and let live attitude here together with ' never mind' Been here 20 odd years and in MHO its got worse

I have a givi box E20 I bought in Penang in 2007, I had to have the lock rebuilt in 2010 but apart from that I swop it between my 2,bikes and its been excellent. Don't forget to use Waxy to stop sun fade. Here's to another 10 years. I'll only buy Givi.

This is not a problem. As others have said you just need a residence certificate, as I did when I bought my motorcycle. No problems owning it in your name here.

Point taken. I suppose i be put my hard earned cash into buying what I thought was the right bike for me and am a little upset about being wrong. I must say I was never that interested in the rebel. The 250 twin dates back to the 70's. I must admit the engine on my CBR 300 is not what I expected.

This always makes me react angrily. The assistants atr on commision and have to get that sale. They follow you around. Irritates me no end. I end up walking out when I may have made an impulse purchase if just LEFT ALONE.

I think there is too much hysteria about smokers. In the 60's everyone smoked everywhere. Then propaganda starts against smoking. However, where is an ashtray, I smoke. Smoking doesn't kill instantly. And the passive smokers should be grateful, since they smoke for free while we pay their taxes.

Sad,but  a Friends Dad is 96Years now and smoke every single Day one or two  Cigars sience he was 22. Hes healthy and mobile.

 
  I beg to differ....it may be what someone inferred but was not the implication.  The statement I made was in reference to fake exaggerated coughing as a means to express one's displeasure, not that people cannot or do not actually dislike tobacco smoke.  

I've a nice motorcycle but often say to myself, no, I won't go for a ride. Now I just enjoy the ride to my infrequent work. That's fun enough.
