I now feel that the ability to ride big bikes here is pointless. Most roads just aren't designed for high speed. I have a 300, ride mostly in Bangkok and prefer to use my other smaller bike. Add to this Thais on the road and it all becomes a serious joke.

All they have to do is revoke his passport. The next country he tries to enter will refuse entry. Singapore might even boot him if they are informed of  revoked pp.

They go straight from a 10 bhp Honda Wave to a a 100++ bhp bike with no additional training.

Makro is the same, the man spends a minute or so looking at the (metre long) receipt before stamping it. There is no way he's checked the content of our two trolleys in that time.

I always irritate security as I have my own bags, one is a 10 year old smelly bag my ex ex bought computer stuff. They do look at me oddly as I come out of Tescos.

Then to the beds no probs but had to laugh at the the 700,000 baht cost of the memory foam beds. All the worse with the pound at 43 baht. Arrr!

Crap. That's where law breaks down. Enforcement depends on bib's mood. I so wish they would do their job. Apathy is the slow death of this country. As other countries move forward, Thailand's stagnant position is thrown into sharp focus.

I stay home and watch the number of deaths, and accidents rise on the news.

 

I occasionally look out the windows in disbelief of the nonsense that I witness.

Its getting so that I have trouble even riding my bicycle to the park. I position myself correctly on the road, use hand signal etc in the vain hope that I might change the habbits of other road users into using the roads correctly.
