So basically she was in charge of a vehicle she didn't understand.

The handbook states before riding you should understand all functions of the vehicle.

She is at fault full stop. She'd look a right ninny in my home country, the UK. Self service there.

I usually get the gas checked. I look at the gauge when the do it. The magical figure is 75-85% I've been told. My Daikin is 20 years old and puts my new Daikin in the bedroom to shame. New ones use creaky plastic.

All this debate about which is best. I have 3 bikes which makes for an interesting comparison. A 21 year old Honda Tena 2 stroke, a Yamaha Nano Spark 2012 and the CBR. The Tens does most things as well as the CBR in Bangkok and gets through traffic better. The only time when Ceeby does better is when the road opens up. Petrol consumption on them is similar at 32-35 kmpl. Sparky has just one problems, its gutless.
Out of town of course is a very different matter.

Agree completely with your rant. I for one am scared of dogs, they are an unknown quantity.
I've had them go for me many times. They make the sois their domain.
Reminds me of the late great James Herbert's book THE RATS. And we know how the efforts to get rid of them ended. In failure.

We should be more worried about the accidents we never hear about.
Two Otis lifts at our condo. The mechanism that should stop it closing on you is not at all sensitive. Then there is the ghost that allows you to go to the 6th, goes quiet and then with a jolt returns you to the 1st. Spooky .. Been happening on and off for the last 10 years. Cowboys are brought in now and again but the problem is never fixed.

Never really notice the traffic as I'm a motorbike rider but traffic jams here are usually caused by vans, buses and stuff stopping where they want and just simple incompetence.
