Who exactly is liable for prosecution? Let's say you are visiting Thailand for a few weeks on holiday and you post a pic of your and your mates enjoying a few cold ones at the hotel beach bar and a few bottles are clearly seen in the pics. Now the local BiB team sees this, recognizes the location and shows up the next night and you are busted? ...maybe this isn't likely but it's possible? Yes? Not exactly conducive to bringing in more tourists.

Yes, I've been taking it for 3 months. 1200 baht for a box of 12.
I'll have to check our local pharmacy. Thanks.

He is of course right about the fact that masks are unnecessary out in the open air but he is a gigantic hypocrite for pushing mask wearing at all times as the cure for the pandemic.

Well duh... I'm not even wasting my time trying to get a shot. Who knows what you would get.

"...clarification on whether foreigners would actually be allowed to own land in Thailand is needed."
Clarification? Does anyone know how farang can freehold land in Thailand now? What needs clarified? Under what circumstances can foreigners own land now? I thought it was a non-starter now. (I'm not talking about owning a company that owns land.).

I remember last April, everyone on TVF was saying, "Wow, this is handled great!!!!!"
The smart ones said, "Bro, first time in LOS. Wait, you'll see...."
I kept saying last year that Thailand was handling COVID well or they were extremely lucky. Looks like the latter...I should have known better.

Well I am one of those 53 so I would much prefer this than renewing the pricy elite visa that gives me the same rights as any other tourist, so a longer visa that gives me some property rights is quite appealing. Like anything with visas here though, I have little doubt that the end result of this will be something as complicated and convoluted as the smart visa by the time it comes out the other side - if it even gets there.
As written at this stage, I'm just outside the 53 but you are right, they will make it so convoluted and complicated to comply the program will attract relatively few.

I believe this is only the start and Thailand will become even more foreigner “friendly” in the coming years.
I hope you are right. These "qualifications" fit very few people. They need to expand the rules to attract a few more "average" expat workers.

I think there is a misunderstanding of the meaning of the term "digital nomad".

Our local hospital (private) in Bangna told me today they did not know when they are getting vaccines but they took my name and said they would notify me when they start making appointments. That's a step in the right direction anyway.

If they were really serious, they would relax the laws and allow foreigners to freehold land. But, they are not.

I had an outpatient procedure done at a hospital in Bangna today. They had me come in a day before for a COVID test.

Moderna is working through back orders. As soon as it satisfied current orders and the orders signed a few months ago for next year, it will be able to satisfy new orders.
No, no one expects a magic solution but Thai FDA and other Thai bureaucracy can step out of the way and make emergency provision for approval of vaccines already approved by other major countries. From the article... "Onliners responded to the news with most claiming that the hospital had been forced into the decision by what many see as over regulation in procuring vaccine for the private sector."

Now tell us again that Thai police are incompetent.
I'm sure there is more to the story of how they zeroed in on the area where the body was but your point is well made.

A simple "yes, vaccines will be available to farang. Contact your local hospital. You will pay for it." or "No, go home to get it or go without." would suffice. I'm not asking for free. Just tell me if, when and where and I'll arrange for myself. Clear and simple answer, please decide so we can decide.

With indifference. The government has pretty much ignored the spending power of expats who have kept many businesses afloat in Pattaya.
Yeah, Pattaya looks like a ghost town. Sad for the small shops.

Headline fails to explain the in car requirement is only if you have a passenger with you.
They are nto requiring people driving alone to wear a mask inside their car, that would be ridiculous.
I sleep with my wife and it's not ridiculous to wear a mask when in the car with her?
