Agree. The UK welfare system is too easy to hide in and is abused by many. -

Running back to the economic arguments as usual. There was never any argument from me that economies would not suffer after Brexit, which was won due to other issues. The biggest problem was that the process of leaving the EU was left in the hands of the remnants of a pro remain government, which was weakly led, especially after the shock result of the referendum. Populist parties are gaining support because the silent majority of Europeans have had enough of the excessive migration numbers and their cumulative adverse effects. -

Maybe because Dutch opposition to the EU is not confined to only one party? -

A repeat of the repeats of your nonsense of the last 7 years. With more conservatives dominating the composition of the governments of several member states, the EU is now steadily losing sway over them, as well as any influence it may have had across the rest of the world. The EU is starting to backtrack on its "freedom" policies, as the consequences of same are now becoming clear. A name change to "Extinction Union" now seems apt. -

You miss my point, which was to keep one weekend free in London for the UK to remember their fallen, in silence and without distraction. I think that the PSC protests would collectively gain more support if that had happened. You immediately put the onus on to the Israelis to stop, while ignoring the Hamas barbarism that triggered this particular event. The death and destruction, first in Israel, now in Gaza, is terrible but what your side do not acknowledge is that now, Hamas are purposely and exponentially multiplying the number of casualties in Gaza by hiding behind (and under) the civilian population. Hamas must have expected a strong response to 7 Oct by the Israelis, who waited and warned for 3 weeks before taking serious action - yes I know it was also to give the Israelis time to organize - but it was plenty of time for any innocents to be moved to the safest places possible. Maybe if Hamas were to return their hostages then that might lead to a meaningful ceasefire? -

The relevant sub thread here concerned the London protest problems and who caused them. That aside, from the rest of your blathering, I have decided to call you Nud Tengent. -

Not true - there were problems from both sides - like your history your should broaden the scope of your reading. And asking for one protest-free weekend is not asking much IMO! -

Sorry if I jumped the gun there, old chap. You're right there was neither sound nor explanation. I just unfairly decided to favour the two unarmed guys that defended themselves against an attack from the five more aggressive gentlemen, especially the tw@t swinging that piece of timber.
