    This is an active natural hazard with a recent history of eruption. There is no way to ensure visitor safety 100%. Pleasure tours should not have been promoted by the owners and not allowed by the NZ government.

    The link to this would be appreciated. Do these stats include the additional carbon/general pollution that occurs when these things self-ignite and burn, spewing smoke and other toxins? And what about the environmental difficulty of disposing of same things when they are retired?
