The contributions improved a bit but there was still significant apathy (but little money) from more than half of the NATO members until.... 2022..when Russia attacked and invaded Ukraine. Then, after that, in 2024, contributions from all NATO members had exceeded the long agreed 2% of GDP, for the first time. The fact is that Trump was right. A shame that war had to break out before he was fully believed.
