I wonder where these small children learned this behaviour from. I notice more terrible crimes occurring in Thailand than say 15 years ago. Woman's head being chopped off in Minburi last year, child rapists and gangs at hospitals.

Thaivisa further notes that financial settlements and criminal charges are separate but the courts often adjust their sentences bearing in mind what agreements are made between those concerned.
Usually it goes away or they give a token sentence. Thailand is not unique in this type of settlements.

They have been online for years in Thailand. They used to have great 3D tools which allowed you to design a kitchen online. We did not buy from them but we did our kitchen that way 4 years ago.

Do you not care if Farangs are breaking the laws of Thailand?
Breaking laws is bad for all of us.
Are we not here to make this place better??
Every bar advertising a happy ending is an illegal act. Loads of illegal acts in Pattaya every 10 seconds. We make the place better as every happy ending feeds a family in Isaan.

About 9,000 THB for the unit and 2,000 THB for the filters each year. They install it for you and call you once a year to replace the filters at home. Very convenient.

the Chinese were caught with their hand in the candy jar and they kept saying ... we are not currency manipulators.....
There was a reason for it. Look at the date and the idea.
They used the higher baht to contain inflation so they did not need to push up interest rates locally and encourage spending on credit. This allowed the auto sector and property to be more attractive. Now they are paying the price. So the local sales grew while export sales started to slump.

Central bank governor defends currency intervention
The Bank of Thailand’s limited interventions in currency markets are a necessary and legitimate defense against global hot money inflows that disrupt and distort currency values, and should not be regarded as manipulation, the governor of the central bank said last week, amid increasing global attention to trade and currency values.
To support his contention, Bank of Thailand Governor Veerathai Santiprabhob noted that Thailand’s currency, the baht, has risen despite complaints from Thai businesses that the stronger currency is making exports less competitive. The baht has risen by more than 3 percent so far this year against the U.S dollar.

The figures show that in the past five years, Thailand has gone from third to first in inequality. The CS statistics show that as of 2018, the 1% control 66.9% of the national wealth. In Thailand, that 1% is about 500,000, compared with the 50 million Thais of working ages

Thai people voted for this insanity so let them enjoy it.

Really who cares. Thais are xenophobic and racist. Maybe Thais should be kicked out of our countries. There should be reciprocity laws. You cant live in my country if I cant in yours. You cant own land in my country if I cant in yours. Is that not what globalism is about? This is nothing more than colonialism not globalism.

A person comes to Thailand.
Many marry and rear children that are not there own.
Build or buy house and car.
They have brought money from there own country to do this.
Every year they bring money into Thailand from the same country to live on.
None of this money has cost the Thai taxpayer anything.
This is a huge amount of money I would think.
Maybe the Farang who has brought all this free money into Thailand should be entitled to something too.
Okay I know it is our choice to come.

Thailand gets more confusing. Did the PM not just kick around the police for influence peddling between a judge and a policeman? The expression "I am Chokes friend" seems to be taking on a new meaning.

They have work permits so they are covered by social security. ????

Mate, you dont get to leave the hospital when you cant pay. They call immigration on you.

It must be very difficult to leave the country, bills unpaid, with the hospital reporting your passport data to the authorities.
I have no knowledge of anyone trying to skip their bill anyway.
And millions of tourists spending their money here must well outweigh any problem made by a few.
I knew two over the years but they call immigration to arrest you when you cant pay. I had to pay someones bill many years ago.

There is no stability. You can not make plans for a life in Thailand. The government will keep moving the goalpost. They will keep implementing sanctions on foreigners in degrees that they would never imposed on their own citizens. If you had planned to retire here, or to marry a Thai woman - think again. Don't!
For those of you here who have been supporting a Thai family for over a decade? Bend over. Or leave. I'm going to opt for the latter and I'll leave a broken family behind. That's on the Thai government.I think it was in 2003/4 when a Thai women started an organisation to help Thai women deal with their husbands simply walking off when Thai immigration started changing the rules and getting work permits was becoming more difficult. I cant find the article on Bangkok Post again but I thought it was interesting. She said that Thai immigration was breaking apart families in Thailand. I did not take much notice of it as immigration was still lax at that point in time but I think that this is round two of the saga in Thailand.

If true, that is an enormous proportion and the Thais only have themselves to blame that they didn't diversify their export markets more carefully. Sh*t can easily happen when you put almost all your eggs in one single basket.
That is why you always ensure you have a mia noi so there are two baskets.

Can we only use Thai companies if they are part of the scam sorry I mean scheme? 40,000 for out patients? Are they serious? Is this just extension non o and a, or is it the normal multi entry visas?
I would assume as much as the local hospitals dont get a fit when you have a Thai medical aid card.

I think it is a good idea as I am sure the Embassies in Bangkok are getting tried about being called about a foreigner who has no health coverage. I have seen this many times before where many expats dont even so much as have accident insurance. Yes you think it will not happen to you until is does. Private health care in Thailand can be pretty stiff and there should have been a rule years ago about health insurance as well as death coverage to ensure that there is money to send you body back home if that is what you want. The annual premiums above is pretty standard in Thailand but they usually offer combination policies such as coverage for cancer and other illnesses, accidents as well as death.

Don't know if it can be done from the UK but the turn around time is 2 weeks in Bangkok. Its Special Branch Police in Bangkok. They take your fingerprints for the certificate to check it against their database. I have never received a certificate without fingerprints. So I doubt you can do it from the UK.
