They need to improve infrastructure Thailand wide, not only
in tourist centres, but they have blew the money on weapons
of war,Satellites, things that do not benefit the population at all.

While foreign speculators are taking their money from Thailand,
The Government wants Thai investors overseas to repatriate their
money,no way that's going to happen unless they are given a big
incentives to do so, they will be thinking the Farangs must know
something,maybe we don't.

Just finished watching what I think was a great movie," The 12th Man ,"
about the Nazi's looking for a sabatour that escaped, in Norway. its
based on a true story.
Then I remember quite a few years ago, 2 Norwegians were found dead
on the kitchen floor,up here in Chiang Mai, the Police said they died of
Hypothermia, all i can say they were not as tough as this guy must have been.

If Thailand is going to be dumping 50 % less plastics into the Sea,
you can bet they are going to dump 50% more on the land.

He's correct, they are not going to be buying any Satellites
they are going to pay 91 Billion THB.....91 Billion to buy
a license to use the Satellites !, surely there is a better
way to spend that amount of money, that benefits the
the whole population, like infrastructure ,so everytime
it rains or the wind blows the electricity does not go off,
Hospitals, better to spend on Universal health care,Education
a healthy, educated population will benefit Thailand more
than Satellites, that's really a no brainer.

Betagro, say their chicken and pork are free from antibiotics,
growth hormones, but they are not free range, the chicken will
have been grown in "Broiler houses ",and whole chickens will
not have offal included.
If you can find local free range chicken, they are going to be
mostly skin and bone.f you have room in the garden, raise
some yourself, that is maybe the only way you will get what
you want.
Betagro have a large outlet on Mae Jo road,,on right hand
side, nearly into Mae Jo,coming from Chiang Mai.

confirmation.just hope it works the next time,if not,the
postal route is not too difficult, and never had a problem
with it.

52 minutes ago, canuckamuck said:Too much instability and polarization in the world, Lots of war weapons that need to be tested, lots of hubris among the leaders too.
The coming world war will change everything.
I think it will be pestilence, that thins the population out,
mother nature will take control.

Just been browsing through BahtSold and quite a few Guest Houses & small Hotels
up for sale, maybe trying to find a sucker, before they get closed down.
Seems the days of a freewheeling Thailand are over, welcome to another nanny state,
you cannot own a water gun,air rifle, dildo, vape, gamble, buy alcohol at certain times of
the day, there must be more things you cannot do or own and the list is getting longer.
the big one......land.

It seems like Immigration offices are taking full advantage
of all this confusion, about TM30,and too many people don't
know enough about it,and those are fined 1,600 THB,for the
privilege, a nice not too little earner for them.
What about the TM28, is that still been enforced ?,the purpose
of that is to report when you leave the province you live in,
and go to another area of Thailand, you have to use the TM28
to report your return, rumours of TM 21 been rolled out, everytime
you go for a shit, you have to report in ! no not really, just joking,
but the really scary thing ,the way they seem to want to know
where we are all the time, I could happen...

My daughter works as a receptionist at a hotel, the hotel
pays no overtime, what they do is give time off in lieu of
hours worked,so if she works 6 hrs overtime, she can
leave early by 1 hour a day,or come in an hour late, until
you have gotten back your hours of overtime worked.
No extra if you have to work on Sunday or Public Holidays,
and is given an extra 50 THB a night for working night shift.
so other girls have complained and were asked to resign,if
they did not, they would be sacked for some reason and not
given any recommendations,so obviously all just resign.
I suspect this is what is going on in many small and medium
businesses, take any steps to keep the wage bill down,if your
staff complain, sack them or force them to resign.
This "Emergencies" clause has been included just to be a
loophole for employers to exploit.

On the ring road up here in Chiang Mai, they have a big
set up over the road, with a speed read out for each of
the 4 lanes, its supposed to take photos and a fine issued
if you exceed the 90 Km speed limit.
Today I drove under it doing 80 Km ,but the sign said 47 Km,
another system developed in Thailand ?
