What is PNG ?
So I am guessing geography is not one of your strong points ?
PNG = Papua New Guinea an island North of Australia, the other
half of the island is the Indonesian provinces of Papua and West Papua.

How do you know they don’t know the details. Maybe the news don’t know the details but the family might?
losing 2 children must be devistating
I hope the family find peace one way or another
Big C you never bothered to read the full story, before making a comment.
“I just can’t believe what has happened – and what makes it worse is that we don’t know the details surrounding Joe’s death. said the father.

A young life taken away too soon, just because he thought it was OK,
to drive drunk and without a license, and therefore no insurance, this
is going to cost him financially, and hopeful what he has done will
weigh heavy on his conscience for what life he has left. R.I.P young lady.

Actually, the way I read it,the Government is not buying any satellites,
only buying a license to use them !.

1 minute ago, thaibeachlovers said:If that were true, the runways would also have failed.
They were going to build there for decades, so nothing surprising that they finally did so.
Before the Airport was even open there were cracks reported in
the runways, and there have been repairs made to them over
the years, and now they are going to spend 2.5 Billion THB
to fix them again, the reason why the Airport was built there
was more about who owned the land, than the suitability to
to build an airport there.

It would be nice to see a report tomorrow, where the police
were trying to take the stepfather into custody and he tried
to do a runner ,and was shot several times by the police, and
it took him 3 hours to die. poetic justice ,
jail is too good for him.

"The driver was arrested and police would try to find who hired him to smuggle the drugs."
I suspect they already know that, someone gave them the tip off,so why not whom they
belong to,next they need to know the final destination of the drugs, good job the Police.

Why would Somchai care? He will just ignore the fine, if he's ever even reached with it other than hearing from his tenant, unless of course tenant uses moving out as leverage. I think multi-unit owner and justrictic managed condos in bkk are probably a bit wiser to the rules and more leary about immigration for sake all their tenants.
Reality is 90% of time mugging's farang pays the fine and registers the owners details and owner is none the wiser, and immigration are all too happy, hence why many (or maybe just me) care about the penalty.
If you read the original post, you would see its his mother-in -law that owns
the house,he will give her the money to go and pay the fine,so he has
everything in order,to hopeful get a Thai drivers license ,but you are
correct Immigration dont care who they fine ,tenant or owner as long
as the get the money.

I thought the maximum was 2,000baht regardless of number of times failed to do TM30 when arriving back in country? How did you get away without paying any of the penalty?
Its the owner of the house where he is staying ,that has to pay the fine,
in this case with his money.

Much ado about nothing, surely Thailand has much more
serious issues than nude photos,to worry about, like the
Government going to spend Billions on satellites that
might be of no use,in a very shady deal.

I think all this money been spent, should go to fixing the infrastructure of Thailand,
for the last 5 days my electricity has gone off, from a few minutes ,to a couple of
hours, and it has not been even raining or windy, when it does rain guaranteed for
the electric to go off,it's not like i live at the back of beyond, maybe 7 Klm from
the generating station.
Water also goes off at regular intervals, sometimes all day, simple basic needs
and they are not reliable, this is Chiang Mai, and I worry that the utility companies
will not be able to supply services in the future, with all the building going on here,
Condos sprouting up like mushrooms, have they a plan to supply all these outlets
and more to come in the future, or will it be a typical Thai thing,to try solve
the problem when it actually happens, so instead of looking to the skys, what about
fixing the things on Earth first.
They don't seem to have learnt from past mistakes like the Bomb detectors,Fire Engines,
The Blimp, the Water treatment plant, the only Aircraft Carrier without planes,to name a few.
lots of money wasted, that could have been put to good use.and here we go again !

I know this sounds kind of Nanny but if you're storing the transferred mayo in jars, even under refrigeration, you should sterilize the jars first. I didn't the first time I bought a bag of mayo at Macro. It filled 2 1/2 used mayo jars so I put the 2 full ones in the back of my fridge. Took one out a month later and it didn't look good; smelled off when I opened it. I had to toss it all. I think bacteria in the jars I used found mayo a medium they liked. I had washed the jars but hadn't sterilized them.
I just stopped buying it in bulk and went back to one jar at a time.
I am into making jams, so knew i had to sterilize the jars, keeps long enough,
just have to sniff it before use, just in case.

Noise is a way of life in Thailand, from the battling speakers at Malls
and Temple fairs, noisy cars ,motorcycles, etc etc, across the road and
next door we have two new house builds, they have been on 2 and 3
years, and are now in the stages of making the furniture,so from both
houses the sound of air staplers is constant, then not far away there
is a market that puts on music shows sometimes, and always someone
has a go at singing Zombie,it's in your head and cannot get to sleep.
In the market there was also one of those installing ear deafening music units
into cars and trucks, and when he was testing them the windows used
to vibrate,so I have some sympathy for your plight, thankfully he's gone now.
We have not made any complaints,as they would just fall on deaf ears (pardon the pun)
we know the houses should be finished soon, and the music fitter is gone, something
else will take their place I am sure,Thais seem to like noise ,it would be very difficult
for you to report him to the Police ,anonymously, and him been a young guy,and you
trying to take his livelihood from him ,who knows what he would do,Good luck.
What about other neighbors, have you talked to them, maybe if you group together,
you might have a better chance of a good result.

Can just imagine General Prawit saying before having that photo
took, wait a minute till I adjust my sleeve.
Regarding the Police going off mob handed ,13 to collect 1 Monk, !
could they not have phoned their counterparts in Germany if it would
be OK to come and bring him back,so looks like it's party time for a
few days till they decide what to do .
