Well that's first time that ANY airline allows someone to fly without evidence of not having covid .Furthermore your post saying here on 30 days extension when  you must have had more than one of them if in Thailand 11 weeks

For example Qatar doesnt ask covid test results flying to Finland. You need to do it when you arrive. But when flying with Finnair it is mandatory.

  2. First of all... I feel for you brother!

Second... your story too long. Get to the point and that is what you need to do now.

Just think what you want to happen next and go for it. You will lose some and probably win some. Try to behave yourself in front of her. Not too toxic. Just think that she is now a person you need to negotiate a best possible deal.

If it is now only about money and your kids and you cannot agree together. Let the court decide. Whatever is the outcome, it is maybe best for you both. From now on she is air to you and behave that way. She cannot complain your behavior after what she did. Dont show emotions. Just work it as a deal.

I would not discuss about her boyfriends and what happened and what she wants for her life... You are not living her life anymore. Show some strength and move on.

  3. My father died with pancreatic cancer. Even you get few more years it will be not just physically but also mentally very stressful. Sad thing is that your mind works well but body just gives up. Usually diagnose comes very late for example when you go to ordinary health checkup. That was the case with my father. He never smoked or drank alcohol. One visit to hospital at 60yo and doctor says "you have 6 months to live"...

I think that really depends on the girls you go with. The girl that I am with now is at least as bright as I am and a professional in the same field. Plus that we both like diving, fitness and other stuff. Plus that her being from SG she speaks perfect English. Makes things a lot easier.

Again its really all about preference, i never liked renting. Many guys do it and are happy about it.

You need to change the timeframe and make sure what you want. But in marriage it is always about negotiation. For me I am what I am and take it or leave it. I can take suggestions or criticism but no mind games or too long moody behavior. You just need to know where you are as a husband. How much you give and how much you expect to get back. If it is not comfortable for the timeframe you set... make adjustments or take a hike ????

It is very common that there is another man around after few years of marriage. Especially if she is good looking and you are a way longer period. Every single lady likes sex and if it is not husband, it will most likely be someone else.

Married or not relationships become less passionate. Still not a reason to end a relationship otherwise in 90% of the cases you have to end a relationship and start over. Not my kind of thing. Just prefer to find someone that matches me well so its not only the part between the sheets that interests me. If that is all you want from a partner why not rent one. Then you can change all you want.

I understand you. Everyone is different. I have realised for me there is not much topics I have in common to talk with ladies or activities to do (all usually related to work or sex). I like being with guys talking about hunting, sports etc. Renting one is actually good idea also. Done for hundreds of years with great success. I dont see any other benefits getting married than getting a visa to stay in Thailand. It is a worst ever contract you will make as a man (come and read this after few years and hit that love button). ????

And other thing is that even you think you are clever knowing your lady... They are well ahead with everything you do and can control you emotionally that you dont even know it. You will be a mess. It has happened with all my long relationships once I said what I want and wont compromise. At the end man will be the one who completes ladies world and space. Not other way around.

  6. My covid extensions have been little weird.

I have a non o marriage and I went for my first covid extension on 7th of January (my passport was stamped at Suvarnabhumi until 14th January). I got under consideration stamp and went back to CW on 21st January and got 60 days to 15th of March. Then things got interesting when I did my 2nd covid extension last week on 10th of March. Lady stamped until May 24th and no under consideration stamp. I dont know from which date she calculated 60 days but I cannot get 60 days from any of the days stamped to my passport.

Years ago one officer stamped 30 days extra to my non o extension under consideration and they called me in panic that I have to go there immediately and they made a mistake. I was in overstay and they stamped overstay and 10000b fine. They paid that fine but my record shows overstay even it was their mistake.

edit: Now I figure it out. I went to the CW on March 10th and if she would give me 2 weeks under consideration I would be back on 24th March and then she would give me 60 days until May 24th. I have no idea why she was so kind to give me that at the spot. Of course my imagination went to the dreams that I am the better type of farang here so they are kind.

The lock repair guy knew exactly what the problem was and probably had a 9V battery in his fanny pack.

If the condo building has this Yale electronic lock as a standard on their doors, then the office should have known this "trick" and could have advised the OP accordingly.  The building handyman would have had a 9V battery and would have been happy to use it for a small gratuity.  I'm surprised the condo office gave him a card for a locksmith instead, if this Yale lock is common in the building.

Now when I start to think about this more there can be another option that the office gave me a standard locksmith business card even I explained it is Yale door lock. We have standard locks also. Whatever was the reason it shows that often there is so called experts who say that things need to be changed or fixed with high costs even the fix can be very simple. I was ready to pay for him for coming to look at the issue but after that bs about need a fix...it showed how unprofessional he was. Same happened years back with a top loaded washing machine which did not rotate well. Repair man came and wanted few thousand for the fix. I googled and actually the fix is the loose rubber belt which needs to be changed after few years of use. Cost 100 baht and took 2 minutes to change.

Can you please explain bit more in dept about the 9V battery ? Is this located in the lock or is it part of your remote control to open the door ? Did you need tools to change the battery ?

    Thanks....

I was outside from my room and code I entered was correct but door did not open. The batteries of the lock are 4xaa batteries inside the room. So the 9v battery helped the door open and all I have to do is to change the 4xaa batteries and voila. There is no need for any tools using the 9v from the outside. There is a terminal under the unit. Very simple.

It depends on whether you lived in the condo, ie: your principle place of residence, otherwise if the condo is owned for less than 5 years a special business tax of 3.3% applies, on top of the usual 2.5% transfer and duty.

If the condo is company owned then the 3.3% always applies

Condo is not my main place of stay. I did not rent it either. If I sell price of 3 million baht, I pay total of 5.8% tax/duty? Is there any other expenses?

  10. Good answers but I think if she lied and took the money herself... say to her that you love her and want to be with her the rest of your life and it is not ok to do what she did. Give her unconditional love and she will heal. Love is the answer and you can work this out... maybe not this year, or next...but...fight for that diamond

Edit: Another good option is to marry her and few kids won't be that bad idea also. Then you will have her forever and you can work things out with few children giving that happiness and joy. Try it.

You are good until 14 January. If the border is still closed you can apply for a 60 day extension. If after 30 days on that extension, there appears to be no upcoming opening of the border, you'll either have to leave or 'qualify' and request a one year extension of stay based on your reason of obtaining the Non 'O'.

I'm betting the borders will be open by then.

From 14th January 60 days extra without losing my non o visa multi entry would be perfect. I need to go to Europe that time (Mid March) whatever the situation is.

I am also on the Multi Entry Non-Imm "O" visa and cannot do border runs either. Topah, all you need to do is wait until just before your entry stamp date expires and go and apply for a 60 Day extension to visit your wife and that will cost you 1900B towards the end of the extension you will see what is happening with the borders and see if you can do border runs or not or you can then apply for a 1 year extension based on marriage. If you decide on the 1 year extension then you must make sure that you meet the financial requirements.

I will wait couple months and see how things go. I dont know how some people think there is a problem or issues. I am just looking for options. I took multi entry visa after 12 years of extensions and if the last option is to make extension after 3 months, I can do it. But idea of multi entry non o is that you can travel as many times as you want during the first year and best scenario...apply the first extension after 12 months. Now I will lose that option if I do extension in January and I need to have 30 days waiting period, pay new entries etc.

Check your "Permission to stay until" date they stamped in your passport the day you got here. I'll bet you dollars to donuts it isn't past 3-4 jan. 2021. What some folk here are saying is, just because you have it doesn't mean you can use it so unless you're ready to leave thailand right after New Year's you should start exploring your options.

Why it should be less than 3 months from arrival? It is 14th January because I arrived 17th. See the attachment.
