  1. If I might just intercede, it is not in your hands.

Technically, it is Leicester's to lose.

Thank you Chic's wai.gif but no doubt he'll come back with some more waffle biggrin.png

Alfie, did you actually learn to read at school?

If so, read my post and then read Chicogs. I know the words are different but the meanings are the same.

Now be a good boy and nob off and bore someone else with your trolling.

If you come back on here, make sure your singular brain cell is with youthumbsup.gif

Right, lets clear this up once and for all, you continually said "Still in control of our own destiny" at this moment in time are you still in control of your own destiny? just a yes or a no please and no waffle wai.gif

  2. Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala, Kevin De Bruyne, Jesus Navas, David Silva, Samir Nasri and Wilfried Bony...makings of a decent team there..all injured...Spurs must be feeling very confident. Think City need to wrap up and lock in a safe place Aguero and Hart for the weekend.

Always best to get the excuses in early biggrin.png

Well only 3 of them would be in your strongest eleven and i'm sure the net 250m you've spent over the last 3 years should make up for them being missing !

  3. Thought it was very commendable of the City fans yesterday to show solidarity by joining the Liverpool walkout (tongue very firmly in cheek).

You have to walk in before you walk out

Plenty walked in Bob, it was our record attendance at the Etihad.

Would have thought that it would have been a full house !

  4. Don't think Jack will be saying this "Still in control of our own destiny" too much now biggrin.png

With regards to Spurs and Arsenal, we are still in control of our destiny.

The Leicester bird has flown. The only saving grace is its in unknown territory.

Regardless if we put in another performance like yesterday, we wont be winning the League this year,

Originally when you said "still in control of own destiny" was you not talking about winning the league ?

When drawn into debate with you Alfie, I wonder is it the Northern/Southern divide or maybe an age gap or are you trolling or just plain daft upstairs?? I dont know the answer, but I will try to answer in ways that hopefully you understandfacepalm.gif

Yes..still in control of our own destiny, related to winning the League this year ( not the CL or the Fair Play League or the Lottery)

Now If we win all our games left, we would only win the League if Leicester drop points, whereas if we win all our games we would finish above Spurs and Arsenal.

So we still control our destiny in winning the League with regards to Spurs and Arsenal but not with Leicester.

I think any normal person would understand the point I am making.

When you was saying "still in control of own destiny" you was obviously talking about winning the League, so now you've lost to Leicester your not in control of your own destiny with regards to winning the league, stop trying to back trap by mentioning Arsenal and Spurs.

  6. Apparently, Pep only has 4 people who he will bring with him.

Manuel Estiarte - Personal assistant. Pep really trusts this guy and is his right-hand man. An ex-water polo star and Pep thinks it's good to have influences from other sports.

    Domenec Torrent - Assistant coach

Carles Planchart - Scout and video analyst

    Lorenzo Buenaventura - Fitnesss coach

He'll come in handy in you have to play on a waterlogged pitch laugh.png

  7. Reina didnt fall on his sword until his dad come out with the statement that he would be joining Barca .After falling out with Rodgers.*

I dont believe a keeper of Reinas standing would be affected by a new coach, there is not much a coach can change that far into a keepers career. good or bad ,you are either a keeper or you are not.If Achterberg is seen as such a burden I have to wonder what Klopp is up to by keeping him.As for the stas guy ,who is he?

For once spot on mm, a coach isn't going to make a great player a bad player likewise he ain't going to make a bad player a great ! a coach might make subtle differences to a player but it's natural ability that is the deciding factor on how good a player is.

  8. My point is alfie is, bottom line from what I've seen of him imo he ain't up to being in the first team. But as said b4 in poch we will trust.

Just because he signs a new contract doesn't mean that he is up for being in the first team and i don't recall anyone saying that he is up for being in the first team !

  9. Fair play to those of you who were up at 02.45 to watch it, I confess that on considering my options at 02.30, I decided to go back to sleep.

  10. Josh Onomah he's done nothing wrong and i know he's only cone on as a sub , but i've not actually seem him do much, am i being to harsh. in poch we trust but atm I am struggling to see the value of this particular young one.

Can't really see your point rij, or are you saying that we shouldn't sign young players on long term contracts until they've proved themselves in the first team ?

  12. Yep, looking like it's nailed on for a top 6 place now ! thought it was the best all round performance iv'e seen from H and Wimmer looked a mirror image of Vertonghen, even as far as committing scrappy fouls like him biggrin.png.

Footnote : Our net spend over the last 5 years has now decreased to £53.2m in the black, that's £366.7m less than Moneyhad, £216.5m less than the dippers and £157.2m less than the goons rolleyes.gif

  13. It beggers belief that a transfer fall through at the death over something as fundamental as the players whereabout for the remainder of the season. The one person its not helpful to is our manager who now finds himself with no back up for the rest of the season and a very busy schedule of matches.

It seems like Spurs wanted him to come now and Fulham wanted him loaned back, perhaps there was no middle ground sad.png
