  1. Have to laugh at everyone making comments about the 2 players when the point of my post to highlight the fact that neither BJ nor bb have mentioned the  inclusion and exclusion of the 2 players when recently they or one of them has compared the 2 players like Spurs supporters are bothered, being as neither of them still play for Spurs i don't give a monkeys who the best player is but i do know we made reasonable profit on both of them !

Think i answered already, and as a City fan i'm made up when our players are not called up, they have enough games to playing winning trophies you know. ????

When was the last time a Spurs poster has  mentioned the pair of them ? i'll have money with you that it was before one of you two mentioned them,

You didn't answer the question !!! so do you want money on it or not ?

The England team isn't really on my radar hence no comment from me. And i think you'll find it's you spurs fans who are always bringing up Walker vs Trippier (i have no problem with ex-City kid Tripps) - go on admit it, it hurt a bit didn't it that Walker turned his back on Sours as he wanted to actually win something in his career.

But Trippier, the player you sprs fans said was so much better that you could afford to sell Walker, now apparently isn't good enough after all and you've sold him.

I see Trippier rates Athletico more than Spurs; he said 2 days ago that he took a step up in his career when he left Tottenham to sign for Atletico Madrid this summer; OUCH! That's funny. ????

When was the last time a Spurs poster has  mentioned the pair of them ? i'll have money with you that it was before one of you two mentioned them, just find it strange that neither of you have mentioned there inclusions and exclusions in the current squad.

He absolutely is a diver, you have a few of them. I'll never forget Spurs at home 2 seasons ago. horrendous

Crikey a scouser having a pop at someone diving, have you not seen Salah over the last few seasons ? and Gerrard before him, the  difference between Kane and salah is that at least Kane goes down after contact ????

Let me know if you want to see a video of salahs best dive's.

    Now that was funny.

Why was it funny when it was totally incorrect ? what makes it even funnier though is that Dele has  made more appearances than De Bruyne over the last 3 seasons.

Welcome back btw. Not used to seeing you so soon after a defeat. ????????

Well don't make ridiculous comments if you have nothing to back it up,  two incorrect facts in one post is quite good for you ????

Can’t start with him. He and Vertonghen haven’t finished their stint in the naughty corner yet,.......oops sorry my mistake they are still not fully fit.

Alli’s a miss. He’s beginning to make Plastic Jack Wi<deleted>e look like Iron Man.

He's already started one game, you must have missed it ????   and as for Verts, Poch said he wasn't fit for the first, Sanchez started and played ok in 2 games that we had good results so why would he drop him ?

Regarding the dwarf, before you come out with such stupid comments you need to compare their appearances over the last 3 seasons !!!!!

  8. According to Dermot if there hadn't been any goals scored by players using their hand last season the law wouldn't have been changed and guess who scored one of them goals, yes Mr Arguero, couldn't make it up, strange that BB didn't mention that ????

Alfie, below is how it is presented in the Laws (i've added the bold and underline for you) and NOT as you have posted it. As you can see i did not leave out "a very small thing called a comma and the word OR" because they do not exist in the Law:

    Handling the ball

It is an offence if a player:

    • deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball

    • gains possession/control of the ball after it has touched their hand/arm and then:

      • scores in the opponents’ goal

      • creates a goal-scoring opportunity

    • scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper

What i posted  was off the IFAB website which as far as i understand is the official website for law changes, and as you can see a comma and the word OR are included and do exist in the law.

    • A player gains control/possession of the ball after it has touches their hand/arm•and then scores, or creates a goal-scoring opportunity

Well it appears Refs are adhering to different laws https://www.the-ra.org/news/ifab-law-changes-2019-2020

    All true.

Or course it's not true, " if he  roughly half's  his earnings "  he doesn't earn 400,000 pounds or equivalent at Juve, when the deal all went pear shaped it was put down to one of two things 1) couldn't agree on his naming rights  2) Juve had decided not to release him as they hadn't signed a replacement.

Would the ball still have found it's way to the player that scored if it hadn't touched laporte's arm? If yes then it should not have been disallowed, if no then it should have been. Pretty simple really.

Spot on ER and the fact that Laporte was nearly standing on the penalty spot and Jeus was standing on the 6 yard line proves that the ball was diverted by Laporte's arm.

The interesting words are "gains possession/control" and "then creates a goal scoring opportunity".

At which point did Laporte gain control of the ball?

Ha ha nice try, but you have left out a very small thing called a comma and the word OR which basically separates the 2 actions. If they would have wanted to show it as one action they would have worded it as follows :

    • A player gains control/possession of the ball after it has touches their hand/arm and then scores/creates a goal scoring opportunity.

VAR is a good idea, but inspecting it for just about anything to the point of the extreme is madness. Next it will be was the scoring side goalkeeper picking his nose and distracting players.

The city goal should have stood. Yes, it hit his arm, but it was not arm to ball it was ball to arm - either that or he had remarkable basketball reflexes !

The law doesn't mention ball to arm.

The following ‘handball’ situations, even if accidental, will be a free kick:

    • A player gains control/possession of the ball after it has touches their hand/arm•and then scores, or creates a goal-scoring opportunity.

    What’s the score with Vertonghen?

Another one along with Eriksen who has pissed off the boss.?

Both banker starters surely if your playing your best side?

Not sure anyone has pissed off the boss, neither up to full fitness and other players are so they play, it's not rocket science ????

I said 'bills' which does not include food and clothes, travel etc. Would never expect total expenditure to be 500 a month.

Well if your looking at a like for like comparison between Thailand and the UK (certainly in the South)  for everything which includes housing your probably looking at Thailand being at least 50% cheaper, just a guess so could be miles out.

I agree its an excellent window IF we keep Eriksen....I see Rij reckons Lo Celso covers his departure but we need more quality on the bench so if he leaves its square one for my eyes.

Spot on Ronnie, Poch wanted 1 more attacking player to add to the squad ( Lo Celso), if Eriksen were to leave we haven't got a creative player to replace him although the numbers would be the same, hence no stronger than last season in that department.

  18. It is all a myth that we have bought these new players as according to posters coming on here we are skint and haven't got any money now that we have spent all our money on the new stadium, we was told look at Arsenal they couldn't buy new players after building a new stadium and Spurs will be the same !

More or less what I thought. Replenishment of carbs around exercise would be sufficient for most people - with a 2-3 hour window before, and within one hour after. I'm pretty sure there's proven scientific evidence to support that health regime viewpoint.

On a tangent, and back to the actual workout:

I'm not into lifting weights, preferring HIIT workouts, which at the present consist of walking around the park (ten laps) for an hour four times a week. It (now) takes me under 6 minutes to walk (fast) one lap aerobically. Each lap is c.600 metres, so I'm covering around 6k per walk.

After the first warm-up lap I'll walk as fast as I can for half a lap = 3 minutes, and recover during the second half by walking normally. I'll repeat this for 5 laps, so I'm carrying out a HIIT routine lasting 15 minutes, and a non-HIIT routine for 45 minutes.  It's strenuous enough for me.

All well and good, but I want to intensify my HIIT schedule by attending a local gym (costs 60 baht a session) for about an 30-45 minutes - probably by cutting my walk time to achieve that.

To 'build lean muscle from a fairly sloppy belly' as the main objective for an active old codger, what gym machines would you consider to be the most effective?

High intensity is classified as getting your heart rate to 80%-95% of your max  and i'm not too sure that you could sustain these percentages for 3 mins perhaps not even obtain these numbers with a fast paced walk. To be fair it is a lot easier to do HIIT  in a gym on a treadmill, rowing machine, stationary bike etc whereby you can play around so to speak with different permutations.

You cannot build muscle from a sloppy belly as they are 2 separate things, abs and core exercises will slightly build muscle, diet and cardio exercise will enable you to lose calories thus lose fat but not necessary all from the belly area.

Anyway this is all rather complex and i'm sure other posters will be on to give you some more in depth advice.
