I assumed this thread was about Yorkie. We have seen his photograph after all.

I prefer the words 'pityable,' or 'greedy,' or 'lowlife' be added to 'disgusting.
Yes, you are correct; there are bad people everywhere, which is why I said that 'society' has sunk to this level. It isn't just found here among the ex-pats. It's everywhere, and dates back to the beginings of man.
But here we see it more up close. A prime example is above; a man who owns four large, profitable stores in Chiang Mai, but he says " Why not get a percentage of that action?
When is enough money enough? How greedy does one need to be?
Why do people need to find 'suckers' and fleece them? Is it just for money? Or is it ego?
Why do so many people here think it's OK to do this?
Is self respect complety gone from vocabularies.
I'm no Mary Poppins, but this behavior is simply not honest, ethical, nor moral.
I guess these days many people just don't care about those three attributes. They were important once.
The Fly Fisherman
Well I'm no Alan Shearer either but, I get the impression that to make a good living as a farang in Chiang Mai you have to be greedy. I can think straight away of two fairly succesful farang businessmen who run factories here. Both would steal the pennies of a blind man's eyes and most likely have. Many other decent people I've known have tried their hand at business and failed.
Personally I'd rather be rich but not if I have to screw people over to do it.

No, not even close go further north and west.
The photograph is misleading as the mountains are quite far from the city.

I'm being ignored too.

No, but same continent

Think it's Royal Chiangmai, not to be confused with Lanna where the back 9 can be a bit of a mess.

I guess that tourist police sergeant will be moved again. He must get really annoyed at how inconsiderate the British authorities are. Won't he ever have a 'normal' life again robbing and raping with impunity?
Yep heard he was back in town.

Looks like he's having a kip. Perhaps Fosa is renting out his graden to those hippie drop outs who have mysteriously disappeared from Pai.

I was going to start a new thread for this but it is also about the ignore function.
Why, when I have a certain poster on ignore, do I have the dubious pleasure of seeing his posts quoted by others. Surely the "ignore" function should erase the quotes as well ?

Forget that paper. I used to like it a lot more. In recent years so much of Thailand's media has become worthless. Have you heard the news? No. I thought so.
From the most free media in asia to the almost the most timid. Still better than the rags in Singapore and Malaysia but that's not really the point. I wonder if Mr Armstrong was afraid his visa might be cancelled when he caved in ?

Amusing photo, are you flogging the Familia as well ?

I understood that you could drive in the UK on a Thai license for a period up to six months. Insurance may be a different issue.

Well now UG, when I was lauding the Salsa Kitchen a while back and saying it was the best Mexican food in Chiang Mai you took offense. Now that your "friend" Mike has sold Miquel's it seems we have your permission to praise the Salsa Kitchen.

Beer
in Chiang Mai
Their microbrewery license only allows them to sell beer in the brewery. That's why they can't supply to other places. They've been asked often.

Beer
in Chiang Mai
The best beer in CM?? Easy! Chaing mai German brewery behind carrefore. Nice show, GREAT beer (from pilsner to weiss beer), and decent food.Completely agree - anyone who has been there will say it is the best in Changers!
Agreed.

Exactly where is it?
Sounds like its off the canal towards that old red light district where Las Vegas resides.
Chiang Mai is so many restaurants now. I still haven't made it to the Pirates Cove and that's been open for about a year.

Do anyone know if they serve Pizza in any of these places?
:D
Would anyone recognize, by size, shape, color or smell what type of food they received in either establishment
Are you connected with a food and drink business in Chiang Mai ?
