  1. As for #4, this is Thailand. Why should they learn to speak English just for you? You are in their country - learn some Thai.

95% of the residents are falang.laugh.pngcheesy.gif

I speak thai so whats your point if any .... coffee1.gif So when a thai live in England, Russia or whereever they learn that specfic language ..... 55555 yeah right cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Of course your Thai is excellent, like all other TVF members, but some people have a bit of a problem with the language it would be nice to have at least one or two persons working there that speak a bit English considering the foreign population in Riverside condominium.

It's only the most important language in the world.

  2. After the authorities shut down the seminar at Thammasat University on the fall of dictatorship in other countries, Thai universities appear to have been banned from discussing politics.

That's not quite true, there's more that you can't talk about publicly - prayuth said that topics for discussion must not be democracy, elections or criticism of the government.

He also asked if he had done anything to damage the country since he took power. Well, that's up for discussion...........................actually, it's not, because you can't.

Ok.. well that makes it all good then..

  3. One comment I didn't get was Kalbo123's contribution that a litre in Thailand = 830cc hmmmm perhaps you'd like to rethink that one... 830ml = 28oz = 1 quart / 1000ml = 33.8oz = 1 litre

Of course I mean to say 830ml.

But what consumers should be aware of that was a litre before..

It happened with a lot of products in Thailand also washing detergent was 1kg now 900 gm.

Prices rice and you get less product.

They fool around with the quantity.

  4. Currently, an assistant to a minister earns a government salary of Bt63,800 but Prayuth wanted that reduced to Bt50,000 in order to save Bt13,800 of taxpayers' money.

I wonder how these assistants are supposed to pay for the schools for their children with a salary like that, not to mention car, mai noi etc...
